COUNT ON GOD’S FORGIVENESS[/h][HR][/HR]
What are you more conscious of today? Your sins or the fact that you have been forgiven? My friend, don’t be conscious of your sins. Be conscious instead of Jesus and His finished work. The Lamb of God hastaken away all your sins at the cross, so count on the fact that you are a forgiven child of God!

No matter what has happened or what you have done, God wants you to know that because of His Son’s finished work, He will be merciful to your unrighteousness, and your sins and lawless deeds He will remember no more. (Hebrews 8:12)

That is why you should not be conscious of your sins. In fact, when you are sin-conscious, the devil brings in condemnation, and the more you receive it and condemn yourself, the more you will find yourself unforgiving toward yourself and even others.

I was told by a pastor friend that when a lady, who had cancer on her face, asked for prayer for healing, the Lord revealed to him that it was self-hatred that was keeping her from receiving her healing. She could not forgive herself and was full of self-condemnation.

When she realized her problem, she counted on the fact that God was merciful to her unrighteousness and that she was already forgiven. She received the love of God. Then, right before the pastor’s eyes, her whole face changed—she received her healing that very moment!

Something happens when you believe that you are forgiven. That is why God says to you, “I want you to believe that all your sins I will remember no more. I want you to believe that you are My child enjoying My mercy and that you can always count on My forgiveness.”

Beloved, remember that all your sins have already been paid for by Jesus on the cross. And the more you count on the fact that you have the Father’s forgiveness and that He does not condemn you because of Jesus’ finished work, the more sin and its effects—sickness, hatred, lack and so on—will lose their grip on you. You will find yourself walking in a greater measure of God’s grace and blessings!

Destined To Reign Devotional.
Pastor Prince

Hi Joanie! While I agree that I am forgiven what I experienced in healing was that God healed me long before I ever forgave myself. Self hatred was, it turns out, the underlying cause of most of my problems. God cured my alcoholism way before I even knew how my self hate affected me. God is the healer and He heals in His time and on His schedule or He does not.

Anyway, still love ya and still agree I have been made righteous by Jesus now and forever!

Thank you, Lord, that despite my imperfections, You are still willing to work in me Your never-ending labor of love of conforming me to the image of Jesus, which is based solely on my faith in Him and His finished work.

The phrase, "No more conscience of sin," should not be misunderstood as "no more consciousness of sin."

Can you explain what you mean FlSnook? ., I think the devotional is about what our minds are on as our focus and defense against sin in our lives. The victory being found in the forgiveness of our sins not in the focus of them.

Do you mean you were healed before you understood? I believe that too and also that He shows us what He did as we mature so that we are even more thankful as we see where He bought us from and where we could have been today had He not done a miracle.

That is my take on it. He teaches us how to trust Him and receive from Him in other things later after we see He does such miracles before we had the understanding to receive. We see how much He loves us and start resting in that love and grace.

When I focus on my lacks and weaknesses and my un-loveliness I'm open to attack and defeat. But when I focus on Jesus love and grace and His making me righteous I am not focusing on me any longer but am seeing He has already made me free from guilt and shame. Now I can daily stand on His righteousness bought and paid for the next time problems come in life and need to be defeated by faith in Him and His finished work on the cross.

For myself., this truth needs to be received daily into my thinking so I'm being renewed in the spirit of my mind (Eph.4:23)
So the things of my past are no longer what I am in my present. God remembers them no more Heb.8:12

Walking in condemnation and guilt of sin is not believing what Jesus has done for me. Forgiven means no longer guilty or under guilt and shame. Walking in newness of life is what I'm called to do by faith. And this is a daily walk done in the spirit (our new creation in Christ) by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are also called to be co laborers with Him in this walk of faith.

Walking by faith is a choice we made every day. And also., it's about our identity IN Christ.

The subject here is the perfect peace of conscience resulting from the perfection of the Offering presented to God. Because the Offering, being the Body of Christ, was infinite in its atoning efficacy, therefore, the worshipper enjoys a perfected conscience, that is, perfect peace of conscience.

The sense of guilt is removed directly the value of the Offering in expiation is known. The conscience of the worshipper is a reflection of the value of the Offering. If the Offering is properly understood and faith there properly placed, the conscience is perfected; if the Offering is not properly understood, which means that faith is improperly placed, the conscience will be imperfect as well.

The question is, "How much value do we place on the Offering of Christ?" Do we feel that the Cross is the answer to every question, the solution to every problem, the strength for every weakness, the life for every death, the salvation for every sin, and the health for every sickness? How you as a Believer look at the Cross, is how you value the Cross. This is very, very serious, so we should think about it very carefully.

For one to receive the proper benefits of the Cross, in other words that for which Jesus died, one must understand its proper value, and at the same time, properly understand its value.

I'm thankful that we have the Holy Spirit who teaches us how to do this. It's a revelation to our hearts and it comes from the Holy Spirit when we submit to Him by our new man. The flesh can't submit to the Holy Spirit., only our new man in Christ can. (abiding) Walk in the Spirit.

Those rivers of living water flow in and through us through the Holy Spirit. He puts in our hearts the value of the Cross more each day with each new revelation about who Jesus is and what He has done.

I don't worry about getting this right because the Holy Spirit promises to never leave us or forsake us. He promises to guide lead us into all truth. This is amazing that each one of us has the Holy Spirit who WILL teach us the truths we need to know to be whole.

When I was healed my self hate was of no effect. In fact, my alcoholism was healed while I was still full of rage and self hate. I disagree that how we think or feel can stop God from healing. Yes, we become what we think but that doesn't mean we can override God's healing or lack there of. Again, that's just how God worked with me. I do not know why He healed me but I know it was all Him.

Morning FlShnook, Amen!! :) My issues and problems are different than yours but God has done that for me too. I have also been learning that by seeing His love and grace in such matters I'm also called to step out in faith for other times after that., you know what I mean?

Many times the Lord has taken over and done things for me because I was totally un equipped to deal with them or to even know how to pray about them. Then there are other times I'm confident to step out having faith He will do what He said before seeing the evidences. Often times there are no evidences except my remembering what He has already done and knowing He can do even more as I allow Him by my stepping back and resting in Him.

I'm learning about walking forward in faith that He will do what He promised as soon as the time comes when I need it. Not only in the healing areas but in the other things I have no control over during the day to day of life. So each day is full of expectations of learning something I didn't know before. Being content and even joyful exactly where I am today while waiting with high expectations of what He will do next. Even though today I might be waiting for a prayer to be answered, I can wait with good expectations and not bad ones.

For me., healing is the same as these other things in the day to day of life. If I can't trust Jesus to protect and lead me when I leave my house every day., I can't trust Him to heal me either. But I do because He has shown Himself to be 100% faithful in all areas.

Also, I've noticed that I don't rush to asking the "what if" questions anymore. That used to be the first consideration when it came to getting out of bed each day... what if this horrible thing happens??... what if that horrible thing happens?.. Life taught me to always consider the what if's so I could give worry it's due consideration.

But now I ask "what will it be like today with Jesus?! what will He show me today? Will today be the day I see my breakthrough?!"

His grace is made perfect in weakness is one of the verses I live by these days. The reason I can bear up in situations that used to totally defeat is because His grace is sufficient to meet anything. Jesus paid for us to have this super duper grace for every day of our lives. 2 Cor.12:10

[SUP]9 [/SUP]But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and [SUP][a][/SUP]show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may [SUP][b][/SUP]pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [[SUP][c][/SUP]in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful [SUP][d][/SUP]in divine strength).
