Not in this case. Christian burial began with the martyr Stephen and has continued ever since. It is only recently that Christians have forgotten the meaning of Christian burial. So cremation is just for pagans, and God is not pleased when Christians adopt pagan practices.

Regarding Christmas, yes originally December 25 was a pagan festival, but it has had a Christian history over many centuries. Now there you have the liberty to either disregard it or celebrate it as a Christian should.

1. Description ≠ Prescription; if the Bible mentions an action done by a Christian, it does not require all Christians to do it. For example, many Christians in the Bible traveled around Asia Minor...that does not mean you have to travel there. The Bible does not command Christian burial; it merely mentions it.

2. You conveniently ignored the fact that God cremated people in the Bible. Have you not read?

Oh this topic again. I saw this topic 2 years ago in another thread.

Ok so, what about cryogenics? It means freezing yourself in a capsule.
What are your thoughts on that?

Interesting fact: They originally buried folks in New Orleans because cremation was "taboo" for the Catholic Church, but found out when the water level got high the bodies would be washed out of their grave and start floating down the roads. So they built the marble tombs that you see now and would "bury" the body on a shelf inside. It slowly cremates in about a year, and then they sweep out the ashes so it can be used by the next body.
