On a lighter note, where in the scripture do you see fathers day or mothers day? but Christians all over the world including born again Christians celebrate that.

Like what some people celebrate their birthday, I am not but some do.

It is Nothing to do with religious ritual.

But purgatory is an information what happen when catholic die, No body that issue this rule say, God told them, and If they do, I don't believe, because It is another gospel.

To tell what happen when you die must have refering from the bible or Lie

For Father day or independent day people decide not something God decide.

What food you want to Eat today. It is not in the bible, up to you. You not Lie If you Eat burger

lots of catholics go to church simply because their families do and its the only kind of church in their area.
Like most denoms families will just go to whatever one their family went to, a lot of people dont have the luxury or mobility of 'shopping around' for church fellowship like people might take for granted in bigger cities.

in nz we have entire towns founded by particular denoms, like dunedin is presbyterian, christchurch is anglican, and there are irish catholic enclaves. You would be looked down on or outcast if you suddenly switched.

The interesting thing is when left to own devices, most people form ttheir own fellowships without even needing the overarching denom. Denoms are kinda like chain stores. You get the same kind of teaching in them, and its kind of watered down into bite sized chunks to make it easier. But see the Bible can be interpreted so many ways and takes some dedication and persistence to read in full, a lot of people dont make it a priority and prefer to be spoonfed as its easier to not think.

As if going to church or a church can save you .. The devil goes to church ever since Job's sons gathered together and their sisters to observe feast days

I wouldnt discount churches as places where people gather to be saved i.e evangelical churches, just because a few unbelievers might go to them and just spend all their time sitting in a pew week after week and not taking a word in.
