Okay so I cannot take credit for this I suggested it but i was recommended for me to make it. I would love for everyone to pitch in:]

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Nahum 1:7 Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble: He knows those who take refuge in Him.
Hebrews 11:6 Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For he who comes to God must believe He exists, and rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Romans 10:17 So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I am excited for this thread...

A nice little place to share encouraging words from God... And to help lift each other up... :eek:

Then Jesus said " Come to me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yolk upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yolk fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light." -Matthew 11:28-30

Matthew 22

[SUP]
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 [/SUP]Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

[SUP]38 [/SUP]This is the first and great commandment.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Peace and Blessings.

Philippians 4:6 & 7
Be not anxious over anything,but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (one of my favorites

Matthew 10

[SUP]37 [/SUP]“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [SUP]38 [/SUP]Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. [SUP]39 [/SUP]Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison," 2 Cor. 4:16-17

"But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isa. 43:1-3a

Isaiah 58:13-14 KJV
(13) If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
(14) Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

[h=3]Hebrews 4[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]The Promise of Rest[/h]4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them,[SUP][a][/SUP] not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:
“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’”[SUP][b][/SUP]

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; [SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]5 [/SUP]and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”[SUP][d][/SUP]
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, [SUP]7 [/SUP]again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”[SUP][e][/SUP]

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. [SUP]9 [/SUP]There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

[h=3]Ephesians 6:10-18[/h]New Living Translation (NLT)

[h=3]The Whole Armor of God[/h][SUP]10 [/SUP]A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For we[SUP][a][/SUP] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. [SUP]15 [/SUP]For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[SUP][b][/SUP] [SUP]16 [/SUP]In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]17 [/SUP]Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.[SUP][d][/SUP]

Great thread, Blain :)

Unity Through Humility

Philippians 2:1-4:
"Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others"

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

Philippians 2:5-11: "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father"

The lord delights in a heart that wishes to be clean and pure in his sight

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

[SIZE=+1]1 Peter 5:7[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]John 14:27[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]Philippians 4:6-7[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]Psalms 40:1-3[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]Psalms 34:17-19[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Yes, the Lord hears the good man when he calls to Him for help, and saves him out of all his troubles. The Lord is close to those whose heart is breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles - he has them, too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]Isaiah 40:31[/SIZE]

[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]John 14:1-3[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in Me. There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren't so, I would tell you plainly.[/SIZE]
[HR][/HR] [SIZE=+1]Deuteronomy 31:6[/SIZE]

"Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies and not to selfish gain. Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways. Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared. Turn away the reproach that i dread, for your rules are good. Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life." Ps. 119: 33-40

(1 Corinthians 2:3-16)

I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Spiritual Wisdom

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural (unsaved) man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?”But we have the mind of Christ.
