People often ask "How can I be sure I am hearing from God.....as believers ,hearing God speak to us is our right and
Privilege. The word says that we can know His voice and distinguish it from others...

In John 10 :3 -5. The watchman opens the door for this man, and the sheep listen to his voice and head It; and he calls
his own sheep by name and brings them out.
4-When he has brought his sheep outside,he walks before them, and the sheep follow him
because they know his voice.
5-they will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him because they do not know the voice of strangers or recognize
their call..

To hear God and avoid the spirit of error,it is important to look into
Gods word and spend time with Him there. The more we study and learn the Word, the more we will let its power flow
through our lives and the better we will be able to hear, desern and obey Gods voice....

So my friends He does hear you...but do you hear Him???

Nice post Jogoldie,

The more we read and study the word prayerfully, the most we hear His voice, even when He confirms it through others who are also in the word as Jesus said: "...If you continue in My word, you are My disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."

Thanking God for HIS word, His instruction, and His guidance.

When I have heard God speak to me, it is often accompanied with a great amount of peace. Any voice that seems to take away that peace, I have found is either of the flesh or the devil.

i have often noticed that God's voice is a still and quiet voice. Almost like a cool breeze blowing over me. Any voice or inclination that seems to "yell" in my thoughts I have found to be the devil or my flesh.

Also, God's voice will NEVER tell you something that contradicts His word.

Sometimes when I pray for an answer a verse will pop into my mind and I will go and look it up. Often times that verse is exactly what I need to hear for a given situation.

He speaks to me through....

1. The written word of God
2. Conviction/Enlightening of the Holy Spirit
3. The guided and pointed direction of the Holy Spirit
4. The still small voice that tugs at my (heart)<---mind!
