We've all experienced this strange phenomenon. Are there any religious explanations for this?
Whether we are born again or not, all humans have a human spirit hidden within them. Learning to function from that spirit man is what either Godly or occult behaviour is about.

Our spirit is receiving input all the time, but mostly it is crushed by our overpowering intellectual capacity. Our spirit's viewpoint is completely ignored unless something else jolts it to the forefront.

Dreams are a bit like that. Non believers can receive God given dreams as well as believers can. The bible contains many examples where God speaks to a non believer, eg. Nebuchadnezzar. Remembering a dream when we wake requires practice though. My wife and I always try to keep a note pad handy to record everything that we dream, if it makes the slightest coherent sense. We can check it out later when we have the time. If I suspect that God is drawing something to my attention, I always then start by asking for wisdom, which God promises to those who ask.

Obviously our memories may also hide any random dream and not just God given dreams. It may be these hidden things that trigger the deja vu. Again if I sense something I will start by asking God, what is happening here.

Also, many times what might be thought of as deja vu, could be nothing more than our spirit man there and then recognising something in the realm of the spirit. Don't lose sight of the fact that it is only through the human spirit that we receive anything of God. The hotline between our human spirit and our mind is sometimes so clogged up by neglect that nothing can get through. Our mind is blind and deaf to what our spirit can see clearly. It is down to us to cultivate our hearing in sensitivity and discernment by listening to God.

As someone else has already described, I have always sensed the presence of the Lord when I have been making major decisions or going out house hunting. I know when I am being led to buy a house, by that great sense of God's approval in my spirit. I do not just go by what I see with my natural eyes, I value God's thoughts via my spiritual ears.

Do you really think dreams come from god?

Perhaps that explains why I never fare too well in my dreams. I can never run away fast enough, I'm always late for
Something or I lose something. I never win!
yes dreams come from God.

every dream has a meaning, something He is trying to tell you. dreams are spiritual and pretty much never mean what they mean at face value.. but thats how God works. just look at the Bible for example. theres so many prophecies and visions that came to the prophets in their dreams and the dreams were never literal. they were symbolic.

and if you can never run away fast enough, im assuming something bad is attacking you, then that could mean your weaknesses overtake you and you need to work on your strength.

losing things may mean you need to be more responsible. or whatever. i mean, every dream is a way for God to communicate directly with you. but you have to take the interest in understanding your dreams.

theres different websites that can help you with this. my suggestion is dreammoods.com. and if you have a hard time looking up your dreams, you can post your dream on their forum and theres some pretty good dream interpreters on there. most of them are people looking for help, but theres a few good helpers on there.

Deja Vu isn't so much a feeling of having done something before as it is a feeling that we knew beforehand that we would be doing a certain thing at a certain time and remembering that premonition, which at the time was meaningless. The dream of Joseph could be called a very explicite form of Deja Vu. He knew what would come to pass in his life before it happened, because in God's view, it already had, even though his entire life was based upon a combination of freewill and divine Providence. So, that such a thing as Deja Vu can exist is certain.
I had a dream like pharaoh who dreamt of 7 skinny and fat cows and 7 ears of corn that Joseph in the bible interpreted. But on my dream I saw a spiritual manifestation vision of my future husband and he saw me on dream, we met on a dream and we both saw me dressed as snow white on dream with 7 dwarfs around in dark spiritual realm

Lol I was tempted to start another topic called Déjà Vu with the same opening question, but I think the humour would've been missed by some people
