Well it sound to me as if he weren't aware of his action or Bipolar. Because he should of have realized that he has betrayed Jesus when he has accepted the money.

Matthew 27:3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”

5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Yes,Judas choose to follow satan over Jesus. At some point he let satan take control.

If it be true that those who have the Holy Spirit cannot then be possessed becuz it is either light or darkness the two cannot be in the same place...then how be it that Satan could go before God's throne or in heaven at all for that matter untill of course he is cast out? I always was confused in this subject please enlighten me with scripture as to the conclusion you have drawn that Christians cannot be possessed. thank you for your time and consideration....Blain

Peter unknowingly let satan use him, again that doesn't mean he was possessed.
What do you think when some being unknowingly invade you body means. In the scriptures that it says that we must keep our bodies occupied by the spirit of God or else when evil spirit comes along and see an empty house, they will come in and take over it. the state of that person will be worst than before. It also says that we must keep praying at all the time or keep focus or meditate on God's word for the devil prowls around waiting for you to go back to your sinful nature and which if you are in that state that the spirit of God has left the building. The devil need for us to listen to him so that he can come on in because he has dirty the house so that the spirit of God to leave.

Romans 7:18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. (Paul is saying when ever his evil desires come about, that he knows that the spirit of God has left him.)

1 Timothy 6:9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;

1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Galatians 6:1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

James 1:14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.

I don't think Judas was ever saved and the Holy Spirit didn't come on the church until Acts 2.

A believer can not be possessed bodily by a demon for they have been sealed until the day of redemption of their body. However, the believer can give place to the devil by giving place to thoughts and doctrines of demons. This type of possession takes place in the mind and emotions and can put the believer in terrible bondage.
No. This is called sin.

Except the Holy Spirit has taken up residence.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

We are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the word sealed comes from the word signet and it means we are fenced in from misappropriation.

Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
The Holy Spirit didn't indwell believers until the formation of the Church in Acts 2. The second reason is that Peter wasn't converted until later according to Luke 22:32:

Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

I dont care what Pen lifters say. I talk from experience and the way it is. The man at the synagoge (if he wasnt a believer he would have not been in the synagoge, nothing is written there without a reason) had a LEGION!!!! 6000! Dont try to teach me anything brother

the man with the legion wAsn't in the synagoge,

Mark 5:1-20King James Version (KJV)

5 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

Judas allowed satan to use him. That did not mean he was possessed.

John 6

69"We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God." 70Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?" 71Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.

Luke 22:3

Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

John 17:12

12 vWhile I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have wguarded them, and xnot one of them has been lost except ythe son of destruction, zthat the Scripture might be fulfilled.

do remember none were sealed by the holy spirit until pentacost. even peter needed to repent of denying christ

luke 22

31"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; 32but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."…

The woman with back problems was not posessed, but it was demonic influence.
Just bind them and kick 'em out in Jesus' Name, but first there has to be repentance (if it has to do with sin, not with physical problems), otherwise it's no use.

What harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (vv. 15–16).

There is no where in the Bible where there is a case of a Christian being possessed and demons being cast out of them.

1 John 5 ... but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

James 4...Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Yes,I said Judas gave satan control in the end.

That does not mean there was demon possession. There can be oppression, a Christian can be used of satan if they are not living in the Spirit. But they cannot be possessed.

I dont know, I think Judas may have been saved in the beginning. But I don't believe OSAS. In the end he gave satan control and was lost.

If you backslide then you can become possessed. But you are no longer a Christian at that point.

None of the verses you mentioned are saying a born again Christian can be possessed.

Can a believer be demon possessed? Can a non-believer be demon possessed? Can a believer or nonbeliever have a demon in them? How do you cast out demons?
I am so sorry you landed in a church that apparently focuses on demons. Judging from this thread, lots of young people seem stuck on demons, which makes me wonder -- who is teaching them to focus on this junk?

I used to explain this from an episode of Frasier, but now I have something more poignant to use. My husband is relearning how to stand and walk again. Yesterday, his physical therapist (PT), had him standing. He was doing pretty good, but then the PT gave him great advice on how to stand successfully: Stop watching your feet or the ground.

He said, "The only people who fall when learning how to stand again, are the people watching their feet. It's guarantee they'll fall. Look at something ahead of you instead. No one falls once they start looking ahead."

Our focus ought to be Jesus. He is what is ahead of us. Watching demons at our feet or nipping at our heels is a great way of falling. Keep your eyes on Jesus. What you focus on is where you'll end up.

And, if some time in the future you do need to learn about demons, well, you've been focused long enough on Jesus that he already started to equip you for that task and he's already taught you to trust him, not some man's interpretation of all-things-demon.

Find a church that will teach you where to focus by example. You'll learn faster.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Matthew 18:22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Proverbs 24:16 for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

Whom ever controls you, is the one that possesses your soul. They are the ones that you can considered them as being your father, king or lord, because they reign over you like if they were your King , father or lord.

John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
