Are you saved, being saved, or to be completely saved? According to James White, it isn't about the prevention of death, but about the afterlife. Perhaps, it isn't my faith/trust, but others misfaith in things unnecessary.
Those who are saved are completely saved from the penalty of sin (justification)
Are being saved from the power of sin (spiritual maturity or sanctification)
Will be saved from the ability to sin (glorification)

Where does faith in your doctor coming from?
You're equating natural faith with spiritual faith? Okay...let's play that game.

Can the physically dead have natural faith in their doctor? If not, then how would the spiritually dead be able to have any faith in the Great Physician?

Salvation is the gift in Ephesians 2:8 not faith. There is some myth that faith, an act of free will, is a gift of God.
The myth is in your head, sir. You have the mind of a natural man.

Phil 1:29
29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him
NIV

And,

Matt 16:17
17 Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
NIV

And,

John 6:44
44 "No one can come to me [in faith] unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
NIV

And,

John 6:65
65 He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."
NIV

And,

John 8:43
43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.
NIV

And,

Acts 14:27
27 On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
NIV

And what God opens no one can shut, and what He closes no one can open (Rev 3:7)

P.S. Don't forget to also ponder Eph 2:8-9).

Nothing wrong with my interpretation. All the NATURAL descendants of Abraham are NOT truly of Israel. What is so hard to understand about that?
But thats not what romans 9 is about. it is about the question did God make a mistake chosing Israel as his elect nation.. Actually romans 9 - 11 discusses pauls thinking on this.

The physically dead can not do anything, good or bad.., they are dead

Thats not the same as a spiritually dead person who can actually do some good deeds..
