I have, dozens of times all the way through. I was simply stating the point that no one has submitted scripture stating Jesus drank wine.

I'm very familiar with the passages. Why would you say this? All I was stating is that no one in this entire thread has posted any scripture stating the facts. That's all. I wasn't saying he did or didn't.

I thought it would be obvious that He drank wine, not that it's an issue. I also assume He took bathroom breaks. But if you want to split hairs, go ahead. No wonder why there are 45,000 denominations.

I don't. This is a very important forum for the maturing of the body, if used properly. Sigh.
I admit, I either put people on ignore, or eventually pick up stones and throw them back so people will stop throwing them at me. What do the young people think?

"Everthing Jesus did was scripted"?!! If that were true, the Bible would be much larger book.
Somewhere, it even says that if everything Jesus did was recorded, there wouldn't be enough room - or something like that.
John 21:25

“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

Thanks. I thought was in John, but I wasn't sure.

A complete description of Jesus can be had from the "foreshadowing " of Old Testament characters....things He would do and not do....even the ruddy appearance and coloring. (Slight reddish tinge to his hair).

The prophecy about Jesus started in the Old Testament with "Let there be light" and went all the way through Malachi.

Even during the Hasmonean period with the Festival of lights getting started by commemorating the siege. (Which Jesus clarified by saying "I am the light of the world" during the Hannakah festival)

This has nothing to do with the thread's subject: did Jesus drink alcohol.

Actually it does....
Jesus drinking of alcoholic beverages is already covered in Old Testament scriptures. Jesus drinking wine is covered in Genesis because Jesus is Royalty...."Royalty drinks wine and working class drinks beer"

The two Testaments are completely dependent upon each other.

I think if we act like the stone throwers in our own defense that they win. Because that ignorant hateful behavior they exhibit is a warning.

Unbelieve are mounting an offense against the people of God. Seeking us out in our own communities to mount an offense.

We're a threat. They're afraid.

If we cast stones in return they'll think they win over us living the truth of Christ.

If we abandon his teachings in order to get down in the satanic trenches with them and stand toe to toe. Making our regeneration from that worldly fault a myth. Given how easy it was for them to goad us down to their level. That's what they want.

They're lost and damned and they know it.

They're just trying to get satisfaction now to satisfy their belief.

That the gospel is a lie. Which is why they disrespect it by insisting on lies, false doctrine, as the truth.

Ignore them, or openly pray for them here.

Because we will never ever reach them with the gospel truth because it isn't up to us to lead the dead into the light of life. It is God who leads those he calls to himself.

Those type devils are in every Christian and Bible forum on the Internet. Browse and see.

🙏💕 God protects us. They know this and hate that too.

One thing we know for certain. It was common to dilute wine with two to three parts water. It is documented in many sources from the time. All historians agree that it was the culture. I don't find many interested in diluting their wine today which suggest that their motives are not good. So never let anyone tell you that Jesus or the Christians drank the same strength of wine you buy today. Unless you dilute it with two to three parts water which was the common custom at that time.

This can be discovered with a Google search. That is how plentiful the ancient documentation is to support this cultural fact. Even Plato wrote about it. There are lots of documents from the time about it. It is not even a debate among historians. Only uneducated debate it.
Ubiquitous......
If I am not mistaken even the young were drinking diluted wine. They had no choice.

Personally I find all alcoholic beverages revolting. I cannot believe people actually drink that stuff.

Show me where in this post it addresses Jesus drinking wine...

... You talk about skin and hair color, Genesis 1, Hannukah, etc. then say that Jesus drinking wine is covered in Genesis because Jesus is Royalty. So are all the OT kings who had multiple wives, lived in luxury, waged wars, etc.

Why are you claiming that you're discussing the OP subject, when obviously you're not?

I'm trying to clarify and you seem to be missing it all. FB_IMG_1448880341809.jpg

Matthew 26:29 “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”

Henceforth. i.e hereafter.
Jesus drank wine.

What this question entails is someone wishing for a codified fence to stand next to....

If you put children in a fenced playground they tend to gravitate to the fence....
But
If you put them in an unfenced playground they tend to hang out by the schoolhouse.

So....which type of playground do you think God gave us?
