If we wiped out all the propaganda about Christmas and only had the word of the Lord to go by, we wouldn't know just when Christ was born. The word doesn't tell us that, it as if it isn't very important. What the word tells us is exactly when Christ was born in spirit, when Christ gave His blood for us, when Christ was the first fruits, the first human to have eternal life and sits on the right hand of God the Father.

Well the angels seemed to think the birth of God's Son was something to celebrate.
8And there were shepherds residing in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks by night. 9Just then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: 11Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! 12And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
13And suddenly there appeared with the angel a great multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying:
14“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men
on whom His favor rests!” Luke 2
and the word gospel means good news. Passover is over. Jesus instituted the meal wherein He said 'this do in remembrance of Me'

Yes, and what should we do about that? Look down our noses at them because they only go to church once or twice a year? Or perhaps plan on making it an evangelistic event to reach them with the Gospel so that they will be translated into the Kingdom of God and become part of the true church. It is good to use Christmas for a reason to invite people.

The Christmas and Easter attenders?
If you use Christmas and Easter as an excuse to invite people that only come that time of year they are likely to say yes and come with your correct? If they get saved and filled with the Spirit then they will come the other weeks won't they?
If having a Christmas play with kids will get the kids extended family members to come watch them, you have an evangelistic event. Include a Holy Spirit empowered revival preacher with the play and see what happens.

I am not some big religious holiday celebrator, I use these dates to reflect on these events in the Bible.
But it's hilarious how God patented ALLLLL these symbols for Himself, in advance. The pagans were not the first, and they can only sit down and cry, nothing is theirs ALL of it is God's... I think it's funny, really

A lot of criers against Christmas don't even know what evergreen tree is, in the Bible. It's the righteous.
I love how even the star is above the tree just like above Jesus... And also gifts are there...
Psalms 1:3 And he [the righteous] shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Ephesians 4:8 ...he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Any excuse to invite someone to church will do. Think of some others that might cause a once a year type to say yes to your invite.
You could try Passover if they are Jewish. I've never tried that, but maybe it will work. Plan communion on the Jewish Passover day and if you can get a Jew to come, you can explain communion to him when he tells you "this is not the kind of Passover I was expecting"
