They do, but it is my understanding that they added them later (don't know when). They are called the Apocrypha. I have read them either, I have thought about it just to see what's there. As I understand it, they cover the period of time between the testaments.
There is many more books of scriptures that was not put into the finished version of the bible we know today. The reasoning is some were rejected cause of the traditions that were not accepting back then, others they deemed did not have any additional moral values to teach, some they said like what is in the catholic bible are just side stories to the other books already in the bible, and finally they did not deem them to apply to those at that time or future generations.

I have read the list that they used to confirm each letter/gospel that they included, but I do not remember what they were. I know some were not included because they repeated information that was in the already included gospels.
