However, porn addiction is something different because in that case things get more physical (through masturbation, or even more with sex dolls). With porn addiction, there is definitely a physical component and is not purely adultery of the heart.

You are good with beating one's wife?
Perhaps he thinks he should beat his wife the way he beats himself?:unsure:o_Oo_Oo_O:cautious:o_Oo_Oo_O

Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

I've never thought about that aspect of it. Good thinking. Thank you for making that correlation and sharing it.

One time on OT God want Jews divorce their foreign wife

Ezra 10

1While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites—men, women and children—gathered around him. They too wept bitterly. 2Then Shekaniah son of Jehiel, one of the descendants of Elam, said to Ezra, “We have been unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women from the peoples around us. But in spite of this, there is still hope for Israel. 3Now let us make a covenant before our God to send away all these women and their children, in accordance with the counsel of my lord and of those who fear the commands of our God. Let it be done according to the Law.

But on NT, only when your partner commit adultery

Paul say in 1 for 7
If unbeliever wife leave, let it be so but if she want to stay don't divorce her

12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
These verses you quote here are oft ignored, I observe. I remember Jesus was never one to be " in a box"

Matthew Chapter 5

31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced subteth adultery.
What of the man who hurts his wife, sleeps around, is oft high on prohibited substances , deals in these substances, and has at times attempted to kill his wife? how does this address the situation of subject wife?
