thier are 6 books more in the roman catholic bible they r left out now because they did not suuport the reformation anti-catholic view,.
Exactly!!!!
It was not until 1546 A.D. that the Catholic church added these extra books. They claim that they gave us the Bible in 397 A.D. and then, nearly 1150 years later, they add 7, not 6, extra books to it. So, if they are the "infallible guardian of divine truth", then at which period did they err?
None of these books are contained in the Jewish canon, those giving the responsibility of perserving the Oracles of God. In the New Testamanet, there are 295 Old Testament direct quotes, and still more allusions to others. But yet, not once did Christ or the apostles quote or refer to these extra Catholic Books.
"
Tobias" teaches salvation by works (4:8-11, 12:8-9).
"
Wisdom of Solomon" contradicts the creation by saying, "made the world of matter without form" (11:18). Truth cannot condradict truth. Either God created all things in the beginning or God created with pre-existing matter!!!
This book also mentions dreadful monsters of the imagination attacking and killing people (11:18-20).
"
Judith" is a story of waiting upon the Lord and trusting Him for deliverance. Here, we have Judith telling the Jews to do such, but yet, claiming to be a prophetess of God, thus, God approved, she lied and deceived Holofernes, who was about to lay seize upon the Jews, and cut off his head. This makes God an endorser of her lies and a participant in the same by assisting her in her plot.
Also, there are errors in Judith about historical figures, dates, and events.
"
Ecclesiasticus" also teaches salvation by works (3:32-34). It also teaches not to "be perfect as the Father" in showing your kindness to both the righteous and the wicked (Matt 5:44-48), by saying, "do good to the humble, and give not to the ungodly: hold back thy bread, and give it not to him, lest thereby he overmaster thee. For thou shalt receive twice as much evil for all the good thou shalt have done to him..." (12:6-7). There are many other things which can be found in the book which are contradictive to Wisdom.
"
Baruch" teaches the dead praying to God. (3:4) Perhaps, coupled with 2 Maccbees saying,"sacrifice to be offered for the sins of the dead" thier reasoning behind Purgatory. And that sacrifice of money received for the dead, is perhaps the reason they recieve payment for praying for the dead. This book goes hand-in-hand with 2 Maccabees.
"
1 and 2 Maccabees" are full of chronological errors, that even the Catholic church sidesnotes a lot of critques on these book's accuracy.
