Do we need to prove to God we are ready for getting into a relationship that might, or, might not, lead to marriage?

Or, will God just let us go find someone on our own?

What do you think could/would happen IF you seeked a mate for relationship before seeing it God's will?

In other words, how IMPORTANT do you view God in your choosing your mate?

Scripture to back your point, or, your opinion, whatever is important to you :)

Good Question Bro. First, It is best for a Converted Christian to date a person who is also a Believer, and Loves and Respects The Lord and his World. Dating Un- converted is asking possibly for future trouble especially if you decide to Marry this person. There is an old saying.....If You are a Christian and Marry a Sinner who does not want to learn and Convert.....You will have trouble with your " Father in law" Satan!!
If you date a Sinner...always remember Satan' s Job is to destroy your witness to others, and to destroy your testimony to others.....Better to Date Girls/ Boys who already have an established relationship with Jesus.

I am proof of what life is like with a unbeliever. I think it is UTMOST important to be with someone that loves God just as deeply as you do. The devil uses the man I am with against me because of his unbelief and quiet honestly some days it is pure hell to be with him. It truly really honestly sucks so badly to not be able to share my heavenly experiences, my faith, my complete joy in God with my mate. He is blind and just doesn't get it. He thinks worldly, he feels worldly, he acts worldly. I hate it honestly. I question his character, his honesty, his faithfulness, just everything because he doesn't have God influencing him but the devil because he is of the world and not of God. So if you are a child of God I strongly so so so strongly suggest you seek Gods will in finding the right mate. When we do something alone and on our own green we usually are doing our will and not Gods if that helps. I say wait on our Lord and he will direct your every path.

The best thing you could do in this situation is to pray about what God wants you to do at this time and he will answer you and if he says a certain person is not right then you should just trust in him bacause he will lead you to the right match.. Just trust in God to lead you toward the right path (in this case the right woman) and he will never lead you astray. Just some red flag to try and stay away from when findin a person: Deal breaker 1: Nonbelievers- 2 Corinthians 6:14-16
Dealbreaker 2: Bad believers-2Timothy3:1-5 and 1Corinthians 5:11
Dealbreaker 3: Angry people- Proverbs 22:24-25
Deallbreaker 4: Haters- 1John 4:20-21

But there is also some green flags to - Galations 5:22-23, Colossians 3:12, Matthew 16:24-25,Ephesians 6:1-3,Proverbs 25:28, Proverbs 15:22, Proverbs 22:1
I hope some of this will help you find an answer. these verses have helped me pick out who I should date so I hope it helps you.. I wish you luck in findin out what you are lookin for, just keep prayin and God bless =)
