Go read Ezekiel 23 yourself, go stand in the gap! :)

Anyway, I've said my say, the ridiculousness of women never called to preach to a congregation is seen in the reality that women, even highe density churches, like Joyce Meyers, just a simple example (i know their doctrine is controversial to some, and, I could care less :) , too, they LOVE the Lord, the other stuff is your opinion :) )
Joyce Meyers loves pocket books.

Since the fall of man, society has been patriarchal, but Eve was intended to be a "helpmeet". Miriam, the sister of Moses was also a spiritual leader of Israel.

Yes, this is the 'order' paul speaks of in 1Timothy 2:14.

Man is first CHOICE for leadership teaching and positions of authority in a church.

The word ' preaching is not mentioned though, that is important to keep in mind.

What is 'preaching?' It is teaching and prophesying combined. It is exhortation, edification, revelation to those listening. And, let's add to.these three, not I speaking here but Paul in 1 Corinthians 11-14 all these things said, but also comes deliverance for ones from unbelieving death they were of . Praise God for all this. THAT:)

Don't put God in a box, EVER, He could use a mute to preach out of a pocketbook if He wanted. or, a deaf, dumb and blind kid named Tommy to build a mean pinball machine , right :)

Our God reigns. Prophets, prophecy, people called (sent) by God to seminaries to become pastors, peole called on short trips, long trips to persecuted Christian towns, blah blah, blah, you name it, yada, yada, yada, yafda, God not only can use people today to further His kingdome through these gifts, He IS doing it today, not some weird, unnatural way either but by His Word and hisvwords unto believer receiving His 'word' to them by faith and going as to righteousness, like Abraham, like Joseph, like ALL who knew and know now the living God of yesterday is aliVe today in believer's hearts everywhere, working things doing things, as they follow Him because of His grace given them through Son Jesus they have the power knowledge of Him in them .

I think we can all agree that the 'Prophets' and 'The Law' that passed were speaking of the great prophets of our time who said prophecy like Isaaiah and prophets like Joel spoke of 'the last days' which are considered now by most, depensing on your amillenial, etc. eschatology to change your 'Satan on earth now' views. Whatever.
The Lord liveth and justeth be MY ROCK and His Word is ALIVE and also sharper than ANY two-edged sword. :)

I preach Christ and Christ crucified and IF you EVER see anything I say as revelation then, just as Paul said, then that is 'prophesying,' and, I am, --all glory to God--a prophet to.....

.....you :)

Anyone can be a real life 'prophet,' today, that is someone God uses, by YOUR FAITH IN HIM, to gain another unto Christ.
Through what:

1. Exhortation
2. Edification.
3.Revelatiion.

Deliverance! And, read 1Cor. 14 if you don't think prophesying is POWERFUL to the unbeliever.

And, all can speak out , which is 'prophesying,' we're not talking weird preduction, holy horror kundalinha spirit worship stiluff, oh, NO, test all spirits, but, as Scripture says after this 'Thessalonians verse, DO NOT DESPISE PROPHESYING :)

1 Timothy talks about this very thing. 2: 11- 14. The Lord has an order for which we need to live. The men are the spiritual heads of the household. Women can however teach other women which is found in Titus 2 : 3-5.

If the Lord calls a woman to be ordained it's a God thing, oh my spelling is terrible ...I ment, it's a good thing. Check out the women of the old covenant. Start with the book of Ruth etc..

By the way did you know the Apostle Paul was a womanizzzzer. There is a couple women on this CC that would make great ministers of the gospel. I've learned quite abit from them in the short time I've been here. Considering the world we live in, and what the bible teaches us, it's a blessing to hear the word of God from a man or a woman. As one day soon, we may not have the freedom to hear it at all.

Obviously there are different views, but we just need to quote scripture here. In I Timothy 2:12 it says "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. FURTHERMORE, in I Corinthians 14:34 it says "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also said the law." Verse 35 says "And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. END OF STORY. What is the question or discussion? This CLEARLY states it that it is NOT okay for a woman to teach or preach in the church, and not even speak in the church. It does say that women have prophesied and helped out Apostle Paul in his services, but this was not preaching or teaching.

Don't be ignorant friends. People are trying to twist the word of God around to suit these times, these days, and it doesn't work. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and His word, The Bible, is the same as well. It does not change. The Bibles tells us what pleases God and what does NOT please Him, and women preaching in the church does NOT please God, and HE has instructed for the women not to do this. All we need to know, is that God said so. Amen.

I feel that women are major players in the church...Maybe not as head pastor or elder positions but most definitely in prayer ministry, praise and worship, grief counseling, Bible Study classroom teachers, and maybe even giving a sermon from time to time from a woman's perspective and point of view...
Sometimes we as men don't keep our eyes open to what our women of the church have in potential and it does go quite hand in hand to have them involved in many hands on ministries...

This argument again, who keeps asking these things???
There are a million threads about this . And nothing new is said.

I pose a simple question :

If a woman pastor teaches All of the Bible, in alinement will all of the word, peoples minds being filled with God's truth.

But on the other side

There is a man pastor that does not teach all of God's word, peoples minds are not being filled with the truth from God's words.

Who would you rather have ?

So who you gonna listen to, Jesus or Paul? Cause Jesus said ALL the law is fulfilled on these two commands:Love the Lord with all...and love your neighbor as your self. And I'm sure God supersedes Paul any time any Year.

Well would not be possible for a woman to have a position of authority and teach in alignment with all the word if the word itself says that women shouldn't have that position. That would therefore make what you suggest impossible.

Sisters can be as Spirit filled as Brothers, in my opinion. I've sat and talked with some wise Spirit filled Sisters. i believe God uses both, men and woman, to keep His Word flowing.

The question isn't about whether sisters are as spirit filled as brothers. Of course they are. No doubt in my mind. I myself am a Christian sister and know many sisters that are spirit filled and have a great knowledge of the truth and the Bible, plus are extremely wise in their counselling. I too believe that God uses both men and women for His purpose in different things. However, the question is whether it is right for a woman to preach or speak in the CHURCH. The answer is No, according to the scriptures I quoted above. Teaching Sunday School with children is not preaching in the church. I believe the subject is about women pastors. It clearly is not pleasing to God. Read my scriptures above.

The Biblical usage of 'Pastor' is always as a local elder and bishop of a congregation and never used to refer to a local evangelist, as that is a different office. There was always a plurality of 'pastors', that is to say of 'bishops', 'shepherds', or 'elders' as these terms are all refering to the same office of oversight of the local congregations.

So, no, there is no room in the church for a female, since one of the prerequisites for a pastor is that he be the husband of one wife, and a female cannot be a husband of one wife, unless you believe the New Testament teaches homphiliac marriage and allows a woman to be considered a husband of a wife.
