yes, being able to copy passages and then paste them into other applications is handy :)

posthuman: thanks for the feedback. By "cross-referencing" do you mean between different Bible versions or different languages? Or something else completely? :)

I use eSword, but I'm not into modern phones.

If you'll be advertising your app, contact the site's owner. I have no idea if he'll accept your offer to pay him for advertising, but advertising, in general, isn't allowed.

(It would be cool to find out if he would accept us advertising our wares though.)

I mean having a list of related passages, linked by such things as the topic of a particular verse or specific words being used. For example i have a large leatherbound scoffield and the margins are full of little notes and references to other verses - where Christ is speaking about heaven there may be notes pointing to other places He also does, or where some prophecy is fulfilled or an OT passage is quoted there may be a note telling me where that is first written about or what is being quoted.

i'm told ((i don't have one)) that the Thompson Chain Reference Bible is one of the best examples of what i'm talking about. biblehub.com has it built into their website on a side bar; it lists verses related to whatever particular one you're looking at:

i don't think i've ever seen something like this in an app, but i appreciate it alot in the Scoffield issue that i do have. seems to me like a lot of coding to do!

I wonder if they do cross-referencing on the fly with some approximate string matching or they do statically; e.g. each Bible verse would have a list of cross references, though that would require a lot of time manually setting this up. Either way very interesting, I will look into this.

Yes I saw that advertising isn't allowed here, that's why I didn't write the name of my application or post a Play Store link. Some advertising would definitely helpful for my app, but I don't have the financial means at the moment. Maybe in the future...

Judging by how some of the results don't appear very relevant, my guess is that it's on-the-fly matching strings to a set / library
