Does it matter if it was a cross or stake?

Does it matter if Jesus died on a cross or a torture stake? I think the Jehovah witnesses believe Jesus died on a torture stake instead of a cross, because I have bibles and one of them is the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures and it says toture stake instead of cross....I don't read this translation but I believe this is a Jehovah witness bible. I am not Jehovah witness either just have their bible.

Well I would not want to hate them, after all there humans. But that doesn't mean I accept there doctrine, because I don't.

The method of Christ's death was crucifxion. He was tried and sentenced under Roman law. The method of this type death penalty has been described by numerous reliable historical sources as being a cross shaped like a T. It doesn't matter in terms of salvation, but i think a bell should go of in anyone's head about WHY the NWT would even bother to change somewthing like that .

I agree. they are a cult, full blown 100% and not Christians.

I think they are wierdos. I didn't say they are not human! I just think they believe stupid crap! Why would anyone want a Bible translated in like the 1800's that didn't read anything like all the other Bibles in the World? Suposedly Jesus came back invisible. Stupid crap like that!

A JW once told me that he believed Christ was nailed to a tree, that is how the crucifixions took place in Jesus day. I was suprised as I had always believed it was a cross like you see on the films. But I guess Peter would know, he was there when Christ was crucified

I was not hostile, you just blasphemed the Lord's resurrection! If you can't stand being disagreed with then don't chat. No one is here to hear you talk bad about Christianity. You should go to worldly chat. I don't know how you found this site but if you are going to say that our beliefs are dumb you need to find something else.
