Not being snotty here. Whose fault is "the fall"? I've seen Eve blamed. I think that is lame. Isn't Satan responsible for our state? I fail and sin but according to Jesus repentance draws God's forgiveness.
I am relatively new to the Bible but I sort of think you are on to a reasonable and possibly accurate understanding about the Garden and I wonder if this scripture fits in with the blame going to the devil. Ephesians4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. If Eve would have known to be angry with the tempter she may not have succumbed to the temptation. It seems to me that the Garden was such a joyful & delightful place of carefree living that the thought of being angry would never come to mind. Take this with a grain of salt as I might be way off.

A friend recently told me that the book of Revelation frightened her. I am so in love with God (Allah to some Christians) that I feel I have righteous fear of God. The punishment I receive I will have earned. I spent many years in a denomination where shouty pastors did their best to put terror of God in our hearts. I don't think that was his intention.
The word Revelation means to uncover, reveal or make known. Knowledge is nothing to be afraid of.
