It IS interesting, though, that the wording of Rev4:2-3a is thus:

"2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: […]"


"Jasper" and "sardine [/sardius]"... the LAST and the FIRST stones on the breastplate of the high priest:

--Exodus 28:20/39:13 "the last row [and last stone]"

--Exodus 28:17/39:10 - "the first row [and first stone]"
