You do not include the reference, which is always helpful, but you are talking about Isaiah 45:7. That particular verse has been discussed at least 6 or 7 times by more than one person and if you had knowledge (I know you think you do) of what is really going on in this thread, you would know that.

So what does the Hebrew actually say then? Not evil. It states CALAMITY.

rā‘;calamity

Nothing to see here.
I recall something about the die hard Tora fans and añd Tanaka fans not even realising the Jewish faith sees isiah 53 as a forbidden scripture. Which is a prophecy of the coming of our lord.

Rabbis even ignore isiah 53 completely and consider it forbidden,

But really rabbis are no different to anyone else and only gain knowledge of what they here in the synagogues but yet isiah 53 has been removed from the Haftarah which is a book of selective readings from the old testament they use in synagogues if my memory serves me correctly.

Must be a blue moon tonight cause I agree with you. LOL!

Further, many Jewish Rabbis are into mysticism. That is not the gift of prophecy. ;)

Lol ok sweetheart, angels can refer to the heavenly but it doesn't matter
I don't get in to the debate about angels Just being about a Catholic debate and I'm not catholic, they mean so much more than that. Theres also your guardian angel you have from a child as written in the bible.

The point I was making was if God is telling us to not repay evil with evil, why would we he do the same by using evil to destroy evil
Or using evil to discipline people behaving bad, surely the power of his Good can destroy evil or discipline bad.

Or God could could send an angel to punish us badly if where behaving bad which would feel like a evil spirit,

So there's an angel you would have choice but to follow because that angel would follow you 😍👍
I enjoy your posts… you’re very open, honest and sincere when sharing your thoughts and beliefs.

Vengeance belongs to God alone because His judgments are correct… ours are bias. God knows the thoughts and intents of our heart… His judgment is just.

I do love angels very much, I just don’t follow them. I see them as fellow laborers with us…. they operate in the Heavenly and Spiritual realm and we, in Christ operate in the Heavenly and Physical realms. However, God does send some angels on assignment in the physical realm… like Gabriel, the angel that spoke to Joshua concerning Jericho….

True, God has assigned every heir of Salvation an angel(s).

this comes from the Tanakh that can be traced back to what was used in the Ark of Covenant, which was placed into the Holy of Hollies, not some masoretic text that is literally half assed!

An evil, trouble; something bad.

but let's be kind and use Calamity:

What is calamity mean biblically?

Purely an Old Testament term, signifying adversities--natural, but more often those that [[[result from wickedness or moral evil]]]. (Proverbs 19:13); (2) disease, poverty, bereavement, as in Job's experience (Job 6:2; 30:13);

You sure 'bout dat? I'm obviously aware of what the verse actually states because I am guilty of pointing it out....several times in fact.

It does not say EVIL!!! :alien: :devilish: :geek:

I'm wondering tho.......can you sit on a half ass? Just love your use of colloquial expressions. They show no distain whatsoever. :censored:

He also tells us how His ways are not our ways.
He may choose to do anything to further His redemptive plan and not clue me in:unsure::):giggle:(y):coffee:
So true! I love your joy in being humbly content with God and His Ways concerning us!(y)

It’s so peaceful and relaxing to just simply trust in His Love for us….

I do find it great fun to wonder why He does what He does…. I always seem to arrive at the conclusion… because He loooooooooves us and did it for our good! :giggle::love:(y)

i don't care what you are, use the wrong text and i will correct you!
Oh my. That's so cold. And yet...and yet...I don't feel at all threatened

You are so eager to have some kind of authoritarian dispute with yourself in the driver's seat, you missed the point I was making that the word ra is not readily translated as evil. That, was all I was talking about. Your pedigree was not the topic (not to me anyway) yet you sprung it on us with the sound of trumpets and angels flapping their wings. (forgive my humor...it's just like that on some days)

Otherwise, y'all are just humpty dumpty to me. In other words, I am not impressed. It takes an awful lot to impress me and huffing and puffing about one's genealogy with an air to importance just kind of leaves me...well...cold actually.

So sorry you had to wait all day though, to only find out your bulletin had already been addressed.

Did God create the Adversary?
Did the Adversary Sin against God?
Did the Adversary attack God's Creation?
So, God Allowed it and Knew it would happen.
God, could have stopped it, could have started over, but instead, had a Plan for Salvation [[BEFORE]] God created the Adversary.
Therefore, God created this!

This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

So God made the Day that Satan sinned against Him and the Day that Satan deceived Eve, and the Day that Satan appeared before God before being able to plague Job, GOD has made Every Day that Evil has triumphed and lost.

What is this in your mind? I don't see what hidden gem it is you are so enthusiastic about

The adversary was a beautiful created angel at one point and he rebelled against His Creator

I have no clue why you seem to believe I don't think God knew what would happen.

Paul knew what would happen when he went to Jerusalem but he went anyway.

God could have done many things different then what we in our arrogance mistakenly assume He might have/should have done but since He is the perfect One, I will accept His actions over anyone else's including my own

I do not assume that God had to go with plan B either since the adversary had become the earth's god and God had to correct that through Christ by sending Him as a human/yet very God baby, who became the first born and we, through Him, defeat the devil and his friend death so that adversary is conquered and the God given authority first given to mankind is returned so that we are able to stand firm against the god of this world and rebuke him and his hatred of all things God's.

Take a chill pill

God knew Joseph’s brothers would sell him into slavery and lie to their father Jacob that Joseph was dead…

I wonder if those dreams God gave Joseph before the evil happened with his brothers… if those dreams sustained and comforted Joseph through all the evil he endured…

I’m sure they did… for those dreams to come true… his family would have to appear before him… Joseph knew he would see them all again.

God is so good! Joseph overcame evil with good, he overcame doubt with faith.(y)

awe thanks nice of you to say 😊

I do not know if im a dream world at the moment tho 😂
Just kidding,

The 3 wise kings followed an angel 😉

That angel was known as the star of Bethlehem.

But no your quite right angels follow us lol.

I feel a bit disrespectful saying that somehow It should be the other way round since angels where created to be ministers
For God's people . 😊

but the song lyrics said call on a angel to guide you wouldn't that be a minister.
In Welsh land Wales we also see the holy spirit as an angel of light.

Amen!
God created the Day Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery.

notice something here:
God made the Day Eve was deceived
God made the Days Job was attacked
God made the Day Joseph was sold into slavery

but then look at the Day God made for Eve was saved by the Blood of Jesus, when Job was twice as Blessed than before, when Joseph became Pharaoh's second man.

God has made Every Day!
