Peter...Holy men of God in past spoke as they were moved by the Spirit hath in these LAST days spoken unto us by his Son....Paul -->ALL scripture is GOD breathed (inspired) and PROFITABLE....2nd Timothy 3:16-17
Here is a full quote on 2 Peter 1:21
“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but
holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
It says that men who were so “moved” by God (not inspired) in this prophecy of Scriptures, and they “spake” the prophecy of scripture, so this is about speaking and not writing. Paul in 2 Timothy speaks of “ALL Scripture” that is writing not speaking. The writers were only “moved” by the Holy Spirit. The written words of God are given to us by inspiration and writers were not inspired.
Hebrews 1:2
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by
his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
This talks more of the crown of revelation which is Christ and not inspiration. Neither this would be a proof text that the writers of the NT were inspired.
“Paul -->ALL scripture is GOD breathed (inspired) and PROFITABLE....2nd Timothy 3:16-17”
Considering this from a non KJv quote still is not a poof text for an inspired writer. It is the scripture…
God bless
