I believe it is Gods will to heal and Jesus does not turn anyone away. I do not like the way the faith preachers teach it though. It is full of condemnation and they blame it on you for your lack of faith. You need to ask God for yourself and ask him to reveal truth not people's opinions or theologies. He will speak to you in your own unique way.
at least [I'm s'posing] it was hearing some faith preacher that caused you to digga little deeper . :)

That is foolish

Plenty of folks died while Jesus was ministering, at the pool of Bethesda only one was healed out of the multitude.

Nobody came to Jesus seeking healing failed.

How do you know Lazarus was raised from the dead? or that Jairus' daughter was raised up? or that 10 lepers were healed?

It's all stories, testimonies.
Well, God's word was inspired by the Holy Spirit and we can trust it; it's more than just stories. I don't trust anyone who makes false claims, which is what faith healers have done consistently. And besides, if no one who came to Jesus failed to be healed, why do so many today fail to get healed when they come to Christ through faith healers? Why not just bypass the healer and go directly to the source?

Still waiting for the ones that didn't fail. A lot of grand stories. But why are the hospitals still full? Why did so many people die from COVID? Why do the faith healers avoid people with real problems. Sure, maybe they've cured a few colds or some backaches; I'm waiting for some real healings, not stories.
all the people Jesus and the Apostles healed or raised still died do you call that failure as well? do they have to be alive today to make the claim valid to you? It was before my time but According to an elderly gentleman in the 90s Our Church had a woman healed from stage 4 cancer.

Of course you can and Scripture does say what it was. "Weakness" in this context comes from PHYSICAL DISBILITIES (or "infirmities") and this is what Christ said and how Paul responded: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Cor 12:9). The "flesh" in this context is the body.

People simply have to carefully read what is written instead of making up their own ideas. We should keep in mind that Paul had suffered many beatings, and may even have been crippled.
God's strength was never more perfect than in our Lord Jesus ... was He sick too?

Paul tells us exactly what his thorn in the flesh was and none of it was sickness.

The testimonies contained in the bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit ... you'll be in trouble if you make a mocking of it.

..... You'll be in trouble if present day testimonies are inspired of the Holy Spirit.

Being overly proud can be considered prideful.

I've heard being prideful is considered a sickness of the mind that leads to a fall.

But for a Christian if you do have that fall God's Kingsman can put you back together again

Well your mind that is 🙂

It's case of being numpty Dumpty, that one I believe

This is a ridiculous argument. We're not talking about eternal life; we're talking about healing. Jesus healed everyone who asked Him of all their problems; faith healers are luck if they heal a stubbed toe.

It was before my time but According to an elderly gentleman in the 90s Our Church had a woman healed from stage 4 cancer.
Dude, you just proved my point.

Have a nice day Evmur. You have no good arguments and what you're saying is getting more an more ridiculous.

Sickness is not the same as a physical disability. Paul was never sick. But he had INFIRMITIES.

and what do you make of the Azusa street interview I posted yesterday? eyewitnesses accounts one of which a pastor himself. Whatever happened at Azusa street it was etched on those old folks minds 70years later. It must have been something significant

So would you if you had been beaten and stoned out of every city, shipwrecked, naked and hungry.

What caused all this? Paul tells us. It was a messenger of Satan sent to buffet him.

You clearly have much to learn. More than I have the time to teach you.

I don’t deny that I have much to learn. Learning is ongoing and never ends. I’m Willing to learn of course both in knowledge and learning to be a better worshiper which is why I’m headed to my church service in 30 mins but I’m going to ask the tough questions to those teaching me every step of the way especially ones online suggesting a different position than the church body God had called me to. I may not be convinced of your position but I’m teachable to be convinced if the spirit of the teaching is of good heart and the teaching agrees with the written Word of God in context.

There comes a time when you have to stop relying on teachers and teach yourself.

Scripture does not say what it is. Weakness does not have to be physical, and often is not.
In this context weakness is DEFINITELY physical hence the term "infirmities" was used. A person who is physically weak is said to be infirm. So there was no need to make this ridiculous response, since Paul did not have any mental weakness! Sometimes it is better to accept what is posted without further argument. And then to add "total fabrication" to suggest I am lying is really cheap.

Read the chapter on AA Allen . I remember being at one of his meetings. Mid 50s . learned a lesson on discernment in that meeting.
I've never actually read Liardon's book from cover to cover, but I've researched most of the people in it and read other books about them. I read a lot about Allen in All Things Are Possible: The Healing and Charismatic Revivals by David Edwin Harrell.

Jesus always said it was the person who came for healing their Faith alone is what healed them.

If someone today wants healing but has no Faith, no matter if I believe God will heal them, they will never be healed.

100% of failed healing began with no Faith to begin with.
