Dear Precious Saints of GOD,
This topic is by far the MOST REVEALING topic for us up to this point........Most of us don't really know what the term FLESH means in Scripture, it has for the most part, been a mystery.......
Most think it is the BODY that they are living in.........and that's not it at all...............
While I agree that our Earthly bodies are not redeemed yet, it has to do with that, but is not IT entirely....This teaching will be a multiple part teaching because quite simply, there is a lot to know.....
Let's start with the Apostle Paul explaining to us his flesh........Now I ask you to pray before you begin to learn this, because if you ONLY lean on YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, YOU WILL MISS THE WHOLE TEACHING............SPIRITUAL TRUTH MUST BE LEARNED IN YOUR SPIRIT, THIS IS CLEARLY TOLD TO US IN THE BOOK OF:
1 CORINTHIANS CH. 2 vs. 12- 14- Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT WHO IS FROM GOD, so that we may know the things freely given to us by GOD.
Which things we also speak, not in words TAUGHT BY HUMAN WISDOM, but in those taught by the SPIRIT, COMBINING SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS WITH SPIRITUAL WORDS.....But a NATURAL MAN DOES NOT ACCEPT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD, FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS TO HIM, AND HE CANNOT UNDERSTAND THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY APPRAISED (UNDERSTOOD).
So if you are not filled with the Spirit of GOD, this will make no sense to you at all.......
VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND A COUPLE OF THINGS HERE.........BEFORE THE APOSTLE PAUL
WAS SAVED, HE WAS CALLED SAUL, IN THE BOOK OF ACTS YOU CAN READ THE STORY, HIS
CONVERSION OCCURS IN ACTS CH. 9, KEEP THIS IN MIND, BECAUSE WE WERE ALSO LOST FOR A
TIME AND THEN WE GOT SAVED......THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER AS WE GO.....
PHILIPPIANS CH. 3 vs.3- For we are the true circumcision, who Worship in the SPIRIT of GOD and Glory in CHRIST JESUS and put no confidence in the FLESH, although I myself might have confidence even in the FLESH. If anyone has a mind to put confidence in the FLESH, I far more:
CIRCUMCISED ON THE EIGHTH DAY, OF THE NATION OF ISRAEL, OF THE TRIBE OF BENJAMIN, A
HEBREW OF HEBREWS, AS TO THE LAW A PHARISEE, AS TO ZEAL A PERSECUTOR OF THE
CHURCH, AS TO THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS FOUND IN THE LAW, FOUND BLAMELESS. But whatever things were GAIN TO ME, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of CHRIST.
More than that, I count ALL THINGS TO BE LOSS, in view of the surpassing value of KNOWING CHRIST JESUS MY LORD. For whom I have SUFFERED THE LOSS OF ALL THINGS, AND COUNT THEM BUT
RUBBISH SO THAT I MAY GAIN CHRIST.......AND MAY BE FOUND IN HIM,
NOT HAVING A RIGHTEOUSNESS OF MY OWN DERIVED FROM THE LAW ......
Ok, it is quite important to read the account of SAUL before his conversion, because he was not a pleasant fellow, then, Christianity was called THE WAY, and because the concepts of this WAY were quite different from MOSAIC LAW, it was not readily accepted in many areas yet..PLEASE READ IT.
THIS WILL GIVE YOU A HANDLE ON PAUL'S FLESH WHICH WAS GENERATED BY SAUL....WHO HE WAS.
WE ARE CREATED WITH A LOT OF NEEDS, ALL OF US HAVE NEEDS, WE NEED LOVE, FOOD,

NOW THE POINT HERE IS THIS, THE THINGS WE LEARNED ON THIS PLANET FROM PHYSICAL BIRTH
TO THE MOMENT OF YOUR TRUE CONVERSION, WHEN YOU REPENTED OF YOUR SINS, AND RECEIVED
JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR AND LORD...........ALL OF THESE THINGS WERE LEARNED THROUGH
INDEPENDENCE , DOING IT OUR WAY.......GOOD OR BAD, IT IS STILL OUR WAY.......
NOW THE PLAN IS QUITE SIMPLY PHILIPPIANS 4:19 AND MY GOD WILL SUPPLY ALL OF YOUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY IN CHRIST JESUS.......IN OTHER WORDS, WE ARE NOT TO WALK IN INDEPENDENCE ANY LONGER, BUT LEARN TO BECOME DEPENDENT ON GOD FOR ALL OUR NEEDS IN THIS LIFE........
