It is spelled Didache, it is a historial source of what the early church believed!!!! One who interprets the Bible from their own culture and background will make big mistakes like you my friend, Brother were taught.
I make no mistakes and can make .o mistakes sticking solely with the simple truth of God's inspired word. Believe whatever junk you like. Goodbye 👋

erk these new translations " as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God"

they slip that "have" in there [subtle as snakes are they] because it gives the distinct idea that the receiving was something they did, of their own freewill, their choosing. YOU read it that way and so would anybody. And they say "gave the right" and once again it creates the perception of something they have the right to "should they choose"

You will say it is pernikity something we free gracers have to put up with. But it is all the difference between God doing a work in us and us doing it. God is gracious, His grace is overflowingly abundant, I'm not saying at all that nobody gets saved through such skewed preaching. Folks get saved.

But they start off with God on the wrang foot. Always believing that THEY must do something in order for God to work.
Adding the word have doers not change anytthing

the word recieve means to grab ahold. To grasp.

this is who God gives the right or power to become his children.

Rather than use common labels, let me put it this way. Everyone is in one of these three groups as far as contribution to Salvation:

1. Solely God.
2. Part God, part me.
3. Solely me.

Perhaps that is sufficient to remove the "misrepresentation", labeling, and "slandering."
It is solely God

But man still has to say yes.

Me allowing someone to save me does nto mean I have taken part in or saved myself

So once again, you’re stuck trying to put everything in a calvinistic vs arminian view. And yet you have allienated many who believe in number 1 which reject calvinist fatalistic thinking

But read a bit further in 1 Cor to chapter 3 to understand Paul's statement you quoted from one.
Paul was the great orator, preacher, and convincer. Paul preached, Apollos baptized, and God gave the increase.

1 Cor 3:6

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase
If Apollos' water was literal, then Paul would have to have been planting literal seed. Don't get him mixed up with Old McDonald. :)

I'm sorry you don't care enough about doctrine. I guess 43K denominations isn't enough. Everyone wants to be a doctrinal island to themselves these days.
You can search among those 43K denominations, and you won't find a single one of them that you perfectly agree with on everything. You're entitled to your God-given uniqueness and freedom of exploration.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

I believe the church is far more divided now, than it has ever been in church history.

There seems to be a deeper misunderstanding of what the gospel itself comprises, adding fuel to the fire.

I completely agree with you. I wonder how God talked to you.
I've been saved just over 50 years. God has spoken to me about 40 times over that time. It is a noiseless yet clear word, usually very concise. Another time the Lord asked me, "What is your righteousness?" I thought about it. My definition is, "The best I can do". Then I remembered what God has to say about my righteousness - filthy rags. That was all for that time.

It's not in the mind, it is deeper than that. It's hard to describe. I know what thoughts are. I know too that when God speaks, it is in my spirit man. Sometimes the Lord simply reminds me of His word. I was wrestling with a sin that I could not overcome. I asked the Lord to help. He said, "Resist the devil and he will flee". This was the answer. I thought that the sin originated with me. I was fighting the wrong enemy. I started to resist the devil every time the temptation came. I had the victory in a few days.

Sometimes God speaks in answer to a question. From time to time, He breaks through my thoughts to talk to me about what He sees I need to know or be reminded about. I'm well aware that Satan can implant thoughts that may seem to be from God. I always check against God's word. I've had to reject some thoughts because I realised they were not from God. We need discernment all the time.

this is who God gives the right or power to become his children.
But your neighbour [scenario] was stood right next to you and he did not "grab" Jesus

You must be a better person, smarter, more righteous.

This is why Christians pass by the beggar in the doorway thinking "They shoulda have done what I did when they had the chance, they shoulda "grabbed Christ" they have made their bed and now they must lie in it"

Unbelievers perceive that Christians think themselves better than themselves.
