We may have many friends in our life time. They may come and go out of life, here today and gone tomorrow. However we have a friend in our life, we call Jesus. A true friend, he is our friend in good times and in bad. A friend we can trust, one who will never leave us or turn his back on us. A
true friend to the end, a friend for life.

Psalm 100:5
For the Lord is good
and his love endures
forever;
his faithfulness
continues through
all generations.

Psalm 107:1-2
1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

2 Chronicles 5:13-14
13It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

John 15:15
15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Romans 8:37-39
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.

Friend.
Jesus replied, "Friend, do what you came for." Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. Matthew 26:50

A friend of sinners.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Jesus teaches us what friendship really is. He teaches us by showing, by example.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
(Heb 13:5-6)

Gee, this kills two birds with one stone...covetousness and the fear of man.
