So Adam was made in the image of God
God is Love
So Adam was made in the image of Love.
One characteristic of "Love" (as described in the bible) is that "Love never fails..." (1 Corinthians 13:8)

Therefore, Adam was made in the image of Love and Love never fails.

So if Love never fails, why did Adam fail? Was he not in the image of love?
brother OwenHeidenreich...

the image of GOD... GOD'S OWN HOLY WORD isn't speaking of GOD'S CHARACTERISTICS but of his IMAGE/ APPEARANCE...

JOHN 4:24...
[SUP]24 [/SUP]God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

THEREFORE the image of GOD HIMSELF IS A SPIRIT FORM and man was made in that very image as well... a spirit man...

Moses himself saw GOD LIKE THIS IN SPIRIT FORM...

EXODUS 33:18-23...
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

do you see... GOD HAS A SPIRIT BODY BUT IT'S IN A MAN'S FORM OF A BODY... that's how we were first made... in the very image of GOD... SPIRIT FORM...

GOD BLESS... AND I PRAY THAT GOD FILLS US WITH HIS HOLY SPIRIT AND GUIDES US TO HIS GODLY TRUTH...

and as for Adam failing... he had too... GOD HIMSELF states this in HIS OWN HOLY WORD...

ROMANS 8:16-21...
[SUP]16 [/SUP]The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

verse 20 is the verse that shows Adam had to fall to sin... this is just another part to GOD'S HOLY STORY...

yet there is so much more GODLY HIDDEN TRUTH WITHIN THESE FEW VERSES...

GOD BLESS... AND MAY GOD FILL US WITH HIS HOLY SPIRIT AND GUIDE US THROUGH HIS GODLY TRUTHS...

A lot of these attempts at answering my question are either implying that God is imperfect, or they say God can't be viewed in a perfect way (I cant view God as a math equation)

Our Bible should not have contradictions, so yes, i should be able to read it like a math equation.

Our Bible the word of GOD does not have contradictions. Where you think you have found one it is only that your mind does not understand it. Like the verse you have on your posts, " For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."

God is Spirit and when we are like him we will understand, things will be revealed to us. We see things most of the time in the plain that we live on but all believers know that the mysteries of God are revealed Spirit to Spirit. Ask God for his Holy Spirit to come into your life and teach you. Then get a quite place your Bible paper and pen and learn to know your God.

no, I am using scripture to make my claim. i'll simplify it

God is love
image of God
image of love
what is love? 1 corinthians 13:4-8
man made in the image of god
man made in the image of love
man didn't have love because he didn't trust God.
"Love always trusts"

If man didn't have love, then man wasn't made in the image of love
That is an extraordinarily narrow understanding of man being created in the image of God.

ok but why does evil have to be included in free will? could there be a free will in a world where no evil exists?
Yes its called heaven...but humans are inventors of evil things, our thoughts and desires are evil and are prideful just as eve and Adam when they desired to be like God. It was their free will to be as gods and the same with Satan when his pride got in the way to overthrow God. But because God is love, he looks beyond our flaws and enables us to look beyond other peoples flaws and to love others. But as for now until all sin is rid of...evil will be in our free will...that's just how it is. Satan is the God of this world and dwells in us just as God does...it our choice who we want to live for.

Actually, the Bible never mentions the "fall of man."

Nor does it mention "sovereignty," but it is everywhere presented.

Nor does it mention "Trinity," but it is nevertheless presented
