I feel kind of strange today. I think I had a dream about the sky turning red and it seemed to be judgement day. And the feeling I was feeling was a combination of happiness excitement and terrible fear. I still kind of feel that. I read Revelations today to see if anything matched up. Nothing that I could see. I have a different feeling for God now. I feel like im more afraid of him, but its a fear that doesn't scare me for whatever reason. Is the holy spirit finally working in me? I really dont have the lustful desire I usually do. At least not now. Actually part of me wants to read the bible more because I want to know more. Or has all this talk about nuclear war and deadly climate change effect me. Still I could have had a stroke or something...Im just wandering if anyone else feels this way?

What did G-d tell you about your dream? Did you ask Him? G-d gives to some dreams, some word of knowledge, some gift of tongs…. And so on. Those that don’t have them will tell you you’re stupid, some people might feel the way you do. What does it matter what other people think? What matters is what G-d said to you about your dream. I had a dream once. I did the same thing found the scripture to back it up. To see if it was really from G-d and I talked to Him about it. I will not share it, it is between my Dad and I; it will either come true or not… so be it either way. The main thing is feelings are so fleeting. If your feelings are turning you to G-d great. I never get up at 5:00 am for work because I feel like it, I get up because I want to keep my job. Sometimes I cook dinner for my family because I feel love for them, usually it’s because it’s my “job”. So it is with reading the Bible. I, many of time, have to read because that is what I do then…. Many times more than not He shows up and I have a fun date with Him. Don’t read because you feel like it, read then you’ll feel like it.

Sounds like God is convicting you. Don't try to rationalize it away. When you finish reading Revelation, keep turning the pages.

I really do hope thats the case. Ive been praying to get rid of this constant sin. I think its finally starting to go away. I had some temptation last night but it seemed easier to control.

hear the gospel of the grace of Christ! Jesus is the answer!

Romans 1:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

The gospel is the power of God for salvation.

We need to hear it every day! Christ is the gospel! Hear about Him and sin will drop off of us like dead leaves.
There are 2 aspects to grace.

1) acceptance grace - which has nothing to do with our behavior - as seen with the woman caught in adultery. Our Lord beautifully says " I do not condemn you". It is in knowing you are not condemned that releases the other aspect of grace.

2) now, go and sin no more - this is empowering grace. Empowering grace enables you to be who the father sees you are in Christ now.

There is the self-performance-based christianity = which says.."Go and sin no more and we will not condemn you"..you do it!!..it's all about what you must do...

grace-based Christianity = in which Jesus says "I do not condemn you...first we need to experience His grace )

As we look to Jesus as in 2Corth 3:18..we become like Him and HIs life ( He is the vine ) in us flows out to us ( we are the branches ) and the dead and diseased leaves ( sin behavior..wrong beliefs..etc.) drop off us naturally and are replaced with HIS fruit being produced in our lives!

I really do hope thats the case. Ive been praying to get rid of this constant sin. I think its finally starting to go away. I had some temptation last night but it seemed easier to control.

We don't turn away from sin..we turn to Christ and believe what He has done for us! His grace and life in us causes us to walk away from sin. The "fruit" of repenting are seen outwardly. Repentance is not turning from sin. Repent in the original language simple means " (to change your mind )

Acts 20:21 (KJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Change your mind from living your life by your own independence! Turn to God Who sent His Son Jesus to take away your sins and give you abundant life. Faith in Christ and His finished work will bring forth the "fruit" of His life that is in us now!

I really do hope thats the case. Ive been praying to get rid of this constant sin. I think its finally starting to go away. I had some temptation last night but it seemed easier to control.

Monnkai, I can assure you God is drawing you closer. We all go through different and seemingly strange trails in our pursuit of immortality. Jump into that bible with your whole heart and you'll find the heart of God.
....and never surrender to your sin, that's our enemies number one weapon

~[h=3]1 Corinthians 10:11-13

[SUP]11[/SUP]Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. [SUP]12[/SUP]Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. [SUP]13[/SUP]There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].[/h]

Another part of the dream was when it was Judgement day and I was terrified that I wouldn't be saved because of my sin. It seemed to have scared me straight. Even if its for a little while its a good start.

Amen brother!....well said!

One way God has ordained us the learn of Christ through the Holy Spirit in our hearts is by...

Ephesians 4:8-13 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] ... AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN."
[SUP]9 [/SUP]
[SUP] [/SUP] And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,
[SUP]12 [/SUP] for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
[SUP]13 [/SUP] until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

The Lord uses apostles, prophets, evangelists pastors and teachers...to teach us all things concerning Christ..so that we can grow up in Him!!!
