Understand that there can be severe consequences for disobeying his commandments.

Fearing the Lord, is not the kind of thing of being scared or afraid - but of respect and reverence. Knowing that God will discipline and rebuke you if break His commands but also knowing if you break them you are not condemned..

This leads to respect and reverence.. respect for His boundaries, reverence for His saving power and grace

I never understood that term guys, thanks for clarifying...I always thought, wouldn't He want us to follow Him out of love and not fear???

It makes sense now...

The Lord’s commandments are for our own good. For example, if I kill someone, I can be executed or spend my life in prison. The Lord gave us the commandments because he loves us and doesn’t want to see us come to harm.

WE ARE JOINT-HEIRS WITH GOD
WE ARE TO COME BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GOD
WE HAVE RIGHTS
WE ARE IN VICTORY
but even in all of that.......THERE IS A LINE WE DO NOT CROSS
for we are saved ONLY by GODs LOVE and MERCY and GRACE

TO LOVE IS TO HONOR TO OBEY TO RESPECT TO SUBMIT TO UNDERSTAND WHO GOD IS
