This here
There wouldnt be any swearing, in this context
Mat 5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Mat 5:37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
You shouldnt need the strength of an oath for your yea to be yea or your nay to be nay,
But if there was some form of communication on an upcoming trip,
and I was asked are you going? Yea or nay?
I might say, Yea, If the Lord wills (anything more than that didnt come of evil) as we know it
You continue....
I would think you would be including yourself in that statement because you said,
And I think you two agree
Well, maybe not
He doesnt really care its all the same to him what you do lol
As he said,
I might not get why all pleasantries must fall under what comes of the forsaking oaths and not swearing here, applying that to another man to answer yea or nay to your own mouth that way (seems a little odd)
Because it really is like wanting a "yea or nay" ruling on your own mouth crack, whether you should crack a smile or not, it would be fake and not sincere asking another to dictate such a thing, see what I mean?
And a Yea or nay (from another) concerning your mouth cracking (or not cracking) a smile is even reduced to
Do you feel Jesus applies this to others having the answer to your smiling (or not) in the same?
Is it that you feel you will get confused and full of strife if he doesnt dictate to you (one way or the other, yea or nay) in respects towhether to smile? Because that was where you placed the mention of the same. Or does the verse (to you) make him as one full of confusion, strife, misunderstanding, and seeking a conflict by not caring (or being unwilling to answer with a "yea or a nay") concerning dictating to you what you should do with your own mouth? As far as smiling goes that is.
And it says here,
James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Is that the verse you mean to quote?
What if he doesnt want anything to do with deciding for you whether your lip cracks are turned up at the edges or downward?
Because he simply says to you
In otherwords work it out for yourself
And to that you respond
Your own interpretation of letting your no be no and yes be yes (outside the realm of swearing) would very similarly carry over into an area of further explaining since whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
You gave more then that (so in a similar instance if that is the way you regard it for yourself )
And what he suggested had nothing to do with him wanting you to follow him but to get you to figure out what to do with your own. He is advising you to figure it out on your own but that is met with"I dont really care to follow men" and yet before that your asking him to tell you what to do with your own lips (as far as smiling goes)
But after the "I dont care" in the above
I wouldnt avocate doing so neither would he
That should be a given seeing the former statement, same answer
I probably couldnt make that interesting for you.
There you go, you have shared a little with us about yourself, thank you for that.
I can't agree more and I certainly wouldnt want you to do so.
But when ISIT mentioned looking at my avatar that is "not me" (personally) he wasnt suggesting to" look at" me ""but the avatar" of little girl hanging upside (according to the smile he was speaking of, of the "frown upside down)
But if his little yellow CC smilie got your goat the little girl's will likely push you over the deep edge (so definately refrain from beholding the same) if only for your own sanity
There are those you wont, everyone has a few, and Im not exception, that is probably where we both might feel mutually unedified by the other, its no biggy the board has different sections, and a wonderful ignore feature for our convenience.
