there church was spent reading the word. having fellowship with each other, breaking bread (eating) and praying together.

they met more than on Sunday morning and wed night, the met often

They did not meet in a temple. they met in homes. The did not put on a production They had a gathering.
Part of satan's deception was/is to redefine what a 'church' is by making it into a building and by doing so, weakening the effectual fervent love for one another.

Satan loves politics and politics loves buildings and men's admiration.

God has never changed his will/plan as outlined in Acts for us to follow.

While this has much truth, the opposite side is that God commissioned the building of a temple in Jerusalem, and even provided the "blueprints". Furthermore, there will be a fourth temple in redeemed and restored Jerusalem, which will be according to the blueprint given in Ezekiel. God will have an eternal sanctuary in Jerusalem on earth, whereas there will be no temple in the New Jerusalem (since God and Christ are the Temple) -- And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (Rev 21:22)

There is nothing wrong with having a building in which Christians may gather. The sin is to make the building more than a simple meeting place, and to fail to remind people that the church is the assembly of saints, while the building is simply a structure for the meetings.

We must remember that all through the old testament the Lord communicated with man through fleshly things. We are under the new covenant, and Christ showed the spirit of what God was teaching. Marking a man as belonging to Christ was done with a physical cut in the flesh, now the mark of belonging to God is done in the heart.

Sometimes we read the old testament and get caught up in the physical examples of the spiritual truth so we don't look for the spirit of what was shown physically. When we do this, the building plans of the temple was profound teaching. Just reading about how the ark was placed in the temple becomes an exciting teaching of how God operates.

being circumcised meant nothing because they never kept the law

“For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

like the entire Old Testament law it’s all about what the person under the law does if they broke the law even once

“For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭

You sin one time and you are now considered as uncircumcised and a law breaker already condemned that’s everyone

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:19, 21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the law can’t give life or justify us knowing sin can’t save man but without the law we can here it’s witness in Christ

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭

It’s not righteousness under the law or of the law it’s without the law and through believing the gospel the gospel belief is what circumcises our hearts the flesh had nothing g to do with it just a foretelling of the truth
