Here is a few I have thought about concerning our abiding in Jesus Christ which is in Him AND in His words, because some say they abide in him but they dont abide in his doctrine. But you can see the same principle through the scripture
I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:
For without me ye can do nothing.
Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine;
No more can ye, except ye abide in me.
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousnessunto them which are exercised thereby.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
Jesus answered them, and said,
My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee,
And they have believed that thou didst send me.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us.
Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
