Neither one of these choices pertain to our eternal inheritance; Those that God gave to Jesus to die for were given the promise of an eternal inheritance by Jesus death.

Those that he died for experience an abundant and joyful life here on earth, which is a part of their eternal inheritance, by patient continuance in doing good and following God's commandments.

But to those, who have the promise of an eternal inheritance, and are self-seeking, and do not follow God's commandments, will suffer a separation from God's fellowship, temporary, until they repent, but they will not lose their eternal inheritance.

Please share the scriptures that pertain to your statement.

Here is who will receive eternal salvation according to the scriptures.
…. all who obey Him.

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:9

I believe that the scriptures teach, that if a born again child of God obeys God commandments as he lives here on earth, that he will be delivered (saved) from losing his fellowship, temporary, until he repents,

Great.

Please share the scripture that teaches what you claim.

Meanwhile, here is what the scripture teaches…

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

Those who “claim“ to have eternal life, yet do not obey Him and keep His commandments are liars.

They are good and profitable for the child of God as he sojourns here in this world, but do not cause him to be delivered eternally.
Excellent.

“Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.”—Galatians 6:18

:) we do realize we don't save anyone right? Be it just confess Jesus as lord or you best obey you name it. He draws them and what He starts He finishes. Now we can really mess people up though because they have to come to Christ our way and believe confess work obey as we do blah blah blah. Not how this works. No offense it does make one wonder do we really truly believe in Christ. Well then just trust in Him. Anyone can just call on His name and will be saved. He God, Christ, sweet holy Spirit are the best at what they do and they don't need us to goof it up even more.

"Those who “claim“ to have eternal life, yet do not obey Him and keep His commandments are liars. "<--- that is not what 1st John 2:4 says. AMP "Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him. " Here and before (verse 3) key word "know" Him.

Amp 1st John 2:3 "And this is how we know [daily, by experience] that we have come to know Him [to understand Him and be more deeply acquainted with Him]: if we habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings "

KVJ "He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." Can you believe in Christ and not know Him? I would be a liar if I said when He found me I knew Him or said that a month later or 6 months later. I didn't know Him I believed He was who He said He was and for that the new man was created aka born from above (Born again). Its like saying I love JESUS. How can you love someone you don't know? How much time had passed when Jesus told them if you love me you will keep/obey my words/commands? Yeah was not on the 1st day nor 6 months later. The thief on the cross didn't know or love Christ he just knew Christ did nothing wrong they did.

What I trying to say and most likely not good is we don't know Him love Him when He first finds us. Look what He says here in John 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? " You going to tell me up that point Philip was not saved? Who was Christ talking to when in John 14 says if you love me keep my words? All of Israel? No just the 12. What about all those that did hear before His words and just believed? He didn't says this to them. Again back to verse 9 “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me". See I think some treat new believers as if they have been walking with Christ for years. So all here who He found and its been years and you say "I know Him" yet your not keeping His words then the truth is not in you. HAHA I don't expect a new believer of this. I was listening to acid rock music years after He found me. See what He started in me. No preacher no one told me ooh thats not the best music a believer should be listening to. I still remember it was at work (INS company at that time). With in me out of no where I just didn't want to any more. Never have since that day. As I said it does make one wonder do we really trust in Him nor are we trusting in self that we must say this or that or they wont be saved?

What I am saying is we lead (He through us giving HIM along all the glory) them to Christ. Just like the 12 did. Then your out there and come back to them months maybe a year later and now you can talk about "keep His word". "your talking as if you know Him yet your not living like that". Don't say this to a new believer. This how I believe and have no problem saying I could be wrong. Yet its just not coming out as clear as I would like sorry.

HAHA I will say after 52+ years I know He could have said to me "know you know me?". Sorry lord.

The way to be saved is by hearing and believing the Gospel message of salvation.

How can a person become saved, without hearing and believing the message of salvation; salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14

JPT

The gospel message are instructions to his born again, instructing them how he wants them to live their lives, as they sojourn here on earth. It informs us how we were saved eternally, but it is not instructions telling us how to get saved eternally.

Here is one of the scriptures that refer to obeying the Gospel.

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” Romans 10:16

Here is some context —

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:9-17

JPT

According to Greek interpretation, salvation=deliverance, saved=delivered, and save=deliver.

If you apply all of the salvation scriptures to eternal salvation, they will tend to teach eternal salvation (deliverance) is gained by your good works.

Most of the salvation scriptures are informing us how that we can be delivered, as we sojourn here in this world.

The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, cannot discern the things of the Spirit, thinking them to be foolishness.

Repenting, confessing, believing, accepting, hearing, obeying, etc. are all products of the born again believers.

Your answer is in the bold print phrase you have given in your post.

We have to consider who is it that "WILL OBEY HIM"?

We know by 1 Cor 2:14, that the natural man, before he has been quickened to the new spiritual life(Eph 2:1-5) cannot obey spiritual commands of a spiritual God. So, therefore, it would have to be the spiritually minded person that has been born again.

According to Greek, salvation=deliverance, saved=delivered, and save=deliver.

By obeying God's commandments the born again person is saved (delivered as he sojourns here in this world) from God's chastening..

Imagine where we would be if the emotion of the fear of God was present in the minds of those in the Garden of Eden.
Imagine how many people would have eternal salvation if the fear of God was present in the their minds.
The fear of God tempers and precipitates Biblical and spiritual intellect.
The fear of God empowers or relationship with Jesus.

"After preaching a sermon on the necessity of the fear of God in public worship, a friend reminded me, “If you want a nail driven in, you have to hit it more than once.” With that in mind I set about a survey of the Bible’s teaching and found forty truths about fearing God to help hammer in the nail. Brief expositions of some of these verses can be found in Pastor Al Martin’s The Forgotten Fear: Where have all the God-Fearers Gone? After living 47 years of adult life the past 2 years have been in fear of the Lord.
The first 45 years was lived with a complete lack of fear and it took a toll.
Out of love for yourselves and others fear the Lord Brothers and Sisters.

Consider the difference between intellect and fear. A state of mind verses an emotion.
Emotions run deep and can have tremendous powers in learning God's Word and relational knowledge of our Creator.

Those are amazing outlooks upon this particular fear - the references to life, to eternal life...thanks.
The fear of the Lord was the first time in my life that I received a pleasant experience with fear, justpassingthrough.
Fear of any type was always a negative omen. A negative situation...
Is the of the fear of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus the Lord the same as a fear toward the Holy Spirit ? Or is this in poor text.
It would appear to be.
