You started off good identifying Lev and Deu as they related to the punishment Israel received in 66-70 AD, then you went sideways with your final sentence. The age that was ending was the Mosaic Age. We live in the Church age and there are no predictors of when our age will end. It could be tomorrow or another thousand years.

That is, even without punctuation, one FIRST has "Messiah cut off", THEN "the people" who shall destroy the city and the sanctuary shall do their work, THEN comes a Prince of THOSE people.
Matthew 24 confirms this. FIRST the Temple will be destroyed, THEN the gospel of the Kingdom preached to all nations, THEN the abomination of Desolation of verse 27 in Daniel 9.
2nd Thessalonian confirms this in that the Beast is yet future to the queries by the Thessalonian saints and is connected with "the gathering" of saints to the Lord (2:1)
Revelation 4:1 gives the events of that Book "AFTER" the Laodicean Church

Revelation 13 gives the Beast as man - not an empire. It is true that in one single Chapter of Daniel a Beast speaks of an empire, but every where else he is a MAN. He is a King, a Man of sin, has the number of a MAN, comes out the abyss, sits in the holy of Holies of a Temple and called "he" throughout Revelation - none of which could be an Empire
Revelation 17 gives the Beast as a PAST Emperor to John's writing in 95 AD - one of five who are dead
Revelation 17 gives the Beast as the eighth, and as FUTURE to John in 95 AD, but one of the five dead
Revelation 19 gives the Beast as defeated at Christ's coming at the end of the age

There are more proofs, but these are simple and plain to put the Beast, a Man, at the end of the Church age. But I'm open to hear your proofs too.

Read it again. Messiah cut off after the 62nd week, therefore into the 70th week. Then the people of Titus destroys the city and temple. If you know history (which is in doubt), you would know that after Titus' legions broke into the temple complex and burned the temple, the war wasn't over. He still had to take the rest of the city. Thus until that war was over, desolations continued.

You must be reading a different Bible because the one I have says the Abomination of Desolation stands in the holy place. The holy place refers to the temple, so it has to still be standing. If you read the text, Jesus makes His statement about the temple to be destroyed while they were still at the temple, then later on the Mt of Olives, the disciples ask about the timing and the signs of the return of His presence which they linked to the temple destruction and the end of their age.

Not future to us, future to the Thessalonians at the time it was stated. The saints have been gathered. They were in Hades, now they are in Heaven.

Revelation was written during the reign of Nero according to the Syrian version of it. Only one original source dates it to Domitian. All other claims refer back to this source. This root source was a third hand account of a conversation had by a second century French clergyman recalling this conversation which took place 35 years earlier. It is triple hearsay and unreliable especially since the source himself has made many discredited statements on other matters.

Daniel speaks of 4 beast empires in Chapter 7. The 4th was the Roman empire which matches the beast of the sea of Rev 13. Nero was the 6th head of that beast.

You are confusing the heads with the beast. The beast had 7 heads, 5 had fallen and 1 is. The one who was at the time of the writing was Nero. Vespasian was the 7th.

I did a long post on this issue and it would take too long to repeat it here. In short, the beast is returned to whence He came in Rev 9:11.

This was to happen at the end of the Jewish Age, the Mosaic Age and the end of the Law. The church age is on-going. Thanks for hearing my views. I would be happy to explain further if there are areas I didn't fully cover.

No my friend. Messiah is not cut off after 62 weeks. He is cut off after 69. You did not add the first seven. Then there is a gap. Messiah was cut off in 30 AD. The Temple in 70 AD. It is impossible to have no gap as you said "62nd week into the 70th". That .. is history.

I wish you would quote the scriptures for what you say. Were does it say "they linked Christ's return with the destruction of the Temple at end of the age" The questions were, in verse 3, (i) when shall these things be, (ii) what will be the SIGN of your Coming, and (iii) what will be the SIGN of the end of the age? Our Lord does not address the Temple again AFTER these questions. He list a number of other SIGNS ending with the SIGN of the Abomination of Desolation, IMMEDIATELY followed by the Great Tribulation, IMMEDIATELY followed by the SIGN of the Son of man in the clouds. Thus, the Abomination of Desolation, the Great Tribulation and the Lord's bursting forth from the clouds RUN CONCURRENTLY.

For this theory you will not find a single verse. Don't bother with 2nd Corinthians 5 or Ephesians 4. They do not say that dead men went to heaven. You might like to read that into them, but the wording does not address this issue at all. Added to this, 1st Thessalonians 4:15-17, in agreement with 1st Corinthians 15:23 has the dead RISING at Christ's Presence (Parousia - Gk.) IN THE CLOUDS. How could they RISE if they were in heaven? And further, a dead man is naked and unclean. How does he thus appear before the Living God who could not look upon nakedness nor the unclean? Finally, the saints are not gathered to heaven. They are gathered to the AIR where the CLOUDS are.

I am aware of this theory. Let's not debate this as, as you say, there is argument for both sides. It will not bring us further in our argument - either way.

My only statement was to identify the eighth as one of the first five. But seeing as you bring it up, you have defeated your argument yourself. Titus was not a Caesar when he destroyed Jerusalem and Vespasian was FOUR from Nero, making him the TENTH. But there is no HISTORY of him sitting in the Temple of God. Added to this, the Temple at Jerusalem in 70 AD was NOT the "Temple of God". Our Lord Jesus sad in Matthew 23:38: "Behold, YOUR house is left unto you desolate."

my Bible does not say that the Beast RETURNED anywhere. It says that he came out of the Abyss and went into perdition (Rev.17:8, 11). But again you defy your own argument. You said the Beast was an Empire, but Revelation 9:11 says Abaddon was AN ANGEL. My understanding is that THROUGHOUT Revelation the Beast is designated a MAN.
