Now that this is here for you to view and see for yourself, look at a few interesting things here so you can see for yourself.

Look at the names of YHWH, and Yahushua, then notice the name Baal and what it means and then maybe you will think twice about the names written in English translations more, especially since some of them have no real Hebrew meaning.

This was answered at the beginning of my post.

....

I found this on the net somewhere and forgot to mark where I got it from, but it might be very helpful anyway.

Good question... if I remember correctly I saw something in the word about calling man our father. It had something to do with our Father being in heaven and not man. Maybe it was in reference to calling man Abba.

I did catch the Lord one and that I already knew from other studies when I was looking at why the names of Elohim being removed from the Word by the Sanhedrin to keep people from saying the names.

I was really surprised they would use such a title in place of the names of Elohim.

That just goes to show you what happens when man thinks his own wisdom is better than Yah.

abba is a term of endearment, its use in english would represent going to your father and calling him Daddy.

God was adam's daddy (not sure what language adam spoke, so do not know what word he used) when adam sinned, God became Adams judge, then became his savior, and leader.

I think the language used is what the context is.

God is the YHWH (hebrew) or Lord. As a title. he is also for those who are his children (or wants to be) their abba.

I did not know they did that.

Elohime is just the plural form of the word translated God in english.

it is said to that of pagan Gods, or our own triune God (God created the heavens)

again I guess context is required.

I'm just wondering what the whole point of this thread is??

I read Hebrew, some of the words are similar, but wrong script. The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew, the few exceptions being Aramaic in Daniel.

If you really want to learn Hebrew, I suggest you start with a beginning Hebrew Primer, I can give you a few names if you want.

The important thing, if you had ever studied Hebrew is NOT the nouns. Hebrew is a VERB language. The tenses and aspect and stems are totally different than English, and this is what you need to study to really understand Hebrew. For example, the same word in the
Qal stem can have the opposite meaning in the Piel.

Another good source for both the Hebrew and Aramaic is Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon, which you can download on-line here:

The part you translated to mean lord God is incorrect, which is actually two titles one right after the other, and no name mentioned.

YHWH Elohim is to mean Yahuwah Mighty One

The point of the thread is to get people interested in what was really being said in the native language for better understanding.

You also mentioned Aramaic and Hebrew, where our Mashiach spoke Hebrew, specifically Paleo Hebrew, the Semetic language at that time.

Aramaic is one of the Semitic languages, an important group of languages known almost from the beginning of human history and including also Arabic, Hebrew, Ethiopic, and Akkadian (ancient Babylonian and Assyrian). It is particularly closely related to Hebrew, and was written in a variety of alphabetic scripts.
Thanks for the additional resource!
