In a perfect world all Christians would agree with you. But in real life the world is generally without Christ, thus governments are secular.

However, there is one group of Christians who hold to Dominion Theology. They believe as you are proposing. But that is NOT the mandate given to the Church.

"Dominion theology is also known as Christian reconstructionism and theonomy. Dominion theology states that biblical Christianity will rule all areas of society, personal and corporate. Christian reconstructionism reasons that society will be reconstructed by the Law of God as preached in the gospel and the Great Commission..."

Honestly...i don't know about that group...but king David was the best king even with his mistake...so...we have a president that put the country on just the KJV we would take a excell above any thing we had before...thats what I believe the Bible says..and God wants...for instance I would not force a person to be saved...but I would make all idols and everything contrary to God and Christ illegal

No Chinese idols at restaurant etc..no horoscopes etc..no fornicating in movies..all.porn would be illegal...i would put the military on ending mafia and cartel and drugs etc..

End abortion...end gay marriage and legalized pot etc...get rid of all but wine....limit what people can buy...drunkeness illegal...close casinos and end smoking etc...

so, my take, basically an angry & vain man who doesn't comprehend the scripture anywhere near what he thinks/claims he does, hoping to start a cult.

what do y'all think, was he serious or trolling?

sophisticated trolling, if that.
woefully misguided, if the other.

sometimes i wonder if the CIA/NSA/etc doesn't send trolls to religious forums to try to draw out extremists. i certainly would, if i was in charge over such things.
this guy was pretty darn vague about his religiosity while simultaneously pretty darn specific about contact info and joining a commune, with conspicuous hints about opposing the federal government & lures of $$ & life-of-ease & privileged

Praise God he is the only God.

1 Corinthians 10: 20-21

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Deuteronomy 32:16-17

16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

WELCOME To America! A nation founded on many Christian principles, and yet established as a secular nation so as to guarantee, life, liberty, and the pursuit of property. Edited after passage of the 13th Amendment so as to read, happiness.

What influence, in fact, have ecclesiastical establishments had on society? In some instances they have been seen to erect a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the civil authority; on many instances they have been seen upholding the thrones of political tyranny; in no instance have they been the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wish to subvert the public liberty may have found an established clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate it, needs them not.”
James Madison, [Fourth U.S President, called, "Father of the Constitution] A Memorial and Remonstrance, on the Religious Rights of Man: Written in 1784-85
You asked a direct question, I gave you a direct answer. I would be ecstatic if America was a Christian theocracy in its truest form. Love, forgiveness, brotherhood and sisterhood in the name of Jesus Christ and all that that entails.

Dear soul, as I don't know if you are a sister or brother so I use that term so as not to offend, our churches can't even display that behavior on a constant basis. In point of fact, that's not displayed here in a community dedicated to Christ and His Truth and among those who claim His name as their own.
This country is a free country for all citizens precisely because it is not a Christian theocracy. Christianity does not teach tolerance.
And early Christianity proved that mightily as we see in just the history of the Inquisitions and the Crusades.

Your point is well taken and I appreciate your in-depth view. That said, IMO a Christian theocracy that was truly grounded in the fruit of the Spirit would be wonderful.
