! Yet at the same time, God is angry at sin every day, and He doesn't choose to bless the unbelievers of the world to the same degree that He blesses His people.

I think maybe you and I think much the same on the subject, but just express our views on the subject in somewhat different ways. I agree that no works is able to save anyone before they can get saved. But they at least need to be willing to accept the lordship of Christ in their life, in addition to accepting Him as Savior in their life, in order to be truly saved. Though yes, the living for Christ and serving Him comes after having done so.

True, salvation through Jesus must occur before one is capable of doing any works that are satisfactory to God. But one must repent and accept the Lordship of Christ, first, before he can be saved.

True, those who reject God, can't help but reap bad consequences from that. Unbelievers are unable to experience the full level of blessings from God in their lives, because they have rejected God. God sends rain on the just and on the unjust. That's one example of how all people good or bad - are under God's blessings to an extent. But those under God's care receive greater amounts of His blessings, not only because they choose to live in obedience to God in daily life, but because they also pray for His help and guidance in daily life - and this is a great improvement, I believe, compared to the lives of the unbelievers. Unbelievers have no supernatural power of God in their lives, while God's people do.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
