5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. (Psalm 5:5)

So our first principle in this thread is this: God hates all workers of iniquity.

Who, then, is a worker of iniquity?

2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. (Psalm 14:2-3)

2 God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. (Psalm 53:2-3)

10 As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." (Romans 3:10-12)

Psalm 14:3 tells us that there is none who does good.

Psalm 53:3 tells us that there is none who does good.

Romans 3:12 tells us that there is none who does good.

No, not one. Not a single person who has ever lived does good.

Back to our question: Who is a worker of iniquity?

The answer is clear: Everyone. Everyone who has ever lived, is living, or ever will live is a worker of iniquity, and God hates them.

23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil. (Jeremiah 13:23)

Wrong.

Read Ezekiel 23, the workers of iniquity are those that hurt (don't help, heard of The Good Samaritan?)

Workers of iniquity . Are all kinds, but not everyone, they are though people who 'oppress' others, thst, of course, would be where you would need to list yourself , by virtue of the venom spewed in this thread. :(

No?

No.

At least, not "by virtue of the venom spewed in this thread," though I am, of course, a worker of iniquity.

A worker of iniquity is, by definition, someone who works iniquity. Therefore, everyone who works iniquity is a worker of iniquity. And as I showed, everyone works iniquity (Psalm 14:2-3; Psalm 53:2-3; Romans 3:10-12), and is therefore a worker of iniquity, and God hates them.

20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin. (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

PROV6:16-19
"These Six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto HIM: A proud look;
a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked
imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among the brethern."

If you fit into any of these categories, then the Word says with certainty that GOD Hates you. And these are all iniquitous thoughts or actions. But, the bigger picture is this: GOD HATES THE FLESH!!!! And all these things are just manifestations of the FLESH, which became accursed because of ADAM. The FLESH must die for ALL, then the JUDGMENT. (HEB9:27). Even Jesus said that HE should not be called Good, because he spoke of the flesh He dwelt in, knowing it had to be 'put off' that the HE might be Born Again, the First of many, the Hope of Glory and of the saints.

For God so loved the world....
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

While we were still sinners (in other words, while He hated us), Christ died for us (that is, He loved us).

God loves (John 3:16) and hates (Psalm 5:5) the whole world (everyone). He loves those whom He hates, and hates those whom He loves.

I'm always confused when people act like this is some sort of contradiction. It's not really hard to think of situations where someone might hate someone they love. In any case, God's ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9) and He does whatever He pleases (Psalm 115:3).

Sleep in your own 'oppressive' bed of iniquity, I am not who I once was, and that goes for ALL who elected Christ into their life, to follow Him forevermore.

Workets of iniquity do a continuous turning in of bad deeds, totally turned from God,, which is DEFINITELY NOT EVERYONE.

You are a worker of iniquity when you say 'God hates everyone,' but this, trustinHisname is just a momentary wrong thought of your thinking out wrongly God''s Love to those who choose Him once He's chosed us, WE may have times of iniquity, for saying you have no sin is wrong but being with The Spirit of God in us we will ALWAYS,escape that iniquity.

Workers of iniquity will NOT turn from their oppression of others.

They are NOT God''s elect ( those whom elected God Lord of their life when He drew them in).

While it is true that Christians do not continue to live a life of unrepentant sin, this is not by any means their own doing; it's God who is doing good in them and through them.

Remember, there is no one who does good. Not having our own righteousness, instead we have the righteousness which is from God. This is God's righteousness, not ours.

9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; (Philippians 3:9)

So, is there anyone who does good?

No, not one.

You are not listening, stop up your stopped thinking.

You're talking about 'workers of iniquity.'

In your opening post you equate everyone hating God with being 'workers of iniquity.'

Answering that question: Those who God hates are NOT everyone (not even close), 'those' are those who oppress others, rob others, mistreat the poor and the needy, that is my short list, and, you're being a 'worker of iniquity' by denying that God is love to those that believe in Him, again, God does NOT hate everyone, not even close.

_________
TrustinHisName: While it is true that Christians do not continue to live a life of unrepentant sin, this is not by any means their own doing; it's God who is doing good in them and through them.

Me: Yes, He who began a good work in you will complete it.

It's God's Holy Spirit who is doing good in the believer and through them, all their life.

So, yes, that is correct, NO ONE can sin born of the Spirit, and, therefore, no one can do bad for long, scripture does state that our flesh breeds weakness but His Spirit breaks free that bond with strength. Sin has no claim on the saved, therefore, through the Spirit they are only able to DO GOOD :)

But, back to.original.point, 'workers of iniquity' are ferocious and longsuffering in their work. God HATES them in Ezekiel 22 ,in fact His indignation reaches a boiling point on them and His fire consumed them, a whole bunch of them. Workers of iniquity, God hates. Workets of the field, sowing souls, GOD LOVES :)
Oh how He loves you and me.

God loves us; John 3:16 and Jesus dying on the cross to pay the debt for our sins is positive proof of the love of God for humanity. God hates sin but through Jesus Christ we have power over sin.

Is this thread a subtle way of asking about eternal justification? Since those who advocate that believes that God never hated the elect at any time. Which isn't wholly biblical.

I think a lot of the problem here has to do with definitions

1
if "God hates" means continually, I believe the OP if way off, even unbiblical
If it means that at some point or another God has hated the person (because of actions) then, sure : God hates sin

2
as has been said, one can both hate and love: If a kid does something terrible, you will be upset,
but you still love the kid. (A teacher of mine once said that you cannot hate someone unless you in some way care about them, if they mean nothing to you, you just ignore it)

Still, claiming God hates everyone makes no sense whatsoever, the bible is FULL of statements of Gods love.

I wanted to vote Hanashimasen Igirisu because it sounded like something a samurai would say. But I don't know what it means so I voted no instead.

I know He doesn't hate me. So you must be wrong about Him hating everyone.

Your whole reasoning is flawed due to your misunderstanding of the redemptive work of Christ, and that is why you are coming up with a false conclusion.

If the scriptures say God hates all workers of iniquity, then he does.

I could go into the word hate, and show how it's used with different meaning depending on the context, but that's really not necessary for this particular point.

Psa is declaring how God views sin an sinners. In the book of Romans chapter 3, Paul is speaking of this very subject, emphasizing the fact that none is righteousness, nor could be under the law of Moses, read the context.
Because this was the case, and because of God's mercy and HIS LOVE for us, he made a way that we can be made righteous, this way is through His son Christ. You Must read the whole context so you can avoid such invalid conclusions.

Rom 3:
Romans 3:19: Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Romans 3:20: Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:21: But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Romans 3:22: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:24: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Now we see, Paul is saying, no man could be justified by the law of Moses, for it was only to bring them unto Christ, and give knowledge of sin --the blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin, so all have sinned, all are guilty, all need the grace of God, that teaches us the righteousness of Christ and justifies us by our obedience to Him - Heb 5:9

So, none were righteous, no NOT ONE, None were deserving of God's son, that's why it mercy and grace, IF we deserved it, it would not be grace but debt.

So again, none are righteous that is without the grace of God through faith in Christ. Keep reading Romans:
Romans 6:15: What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Romans 6:16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Catch that? Rom 3, none are righteous, Rom 6 - we can be righteousness because of grace by OBEDIENCE UNTO Righteousness".

So the problem fixed thanks to God, we COULD not be justified, WE Could not obtain righteousness, but now GOD has given us the ability to be justified by the example of HIS son's righteousness, we can obtain the same through obedience to our God. I Pet 2:22

So the meaning of hate does not matter, what does is that God hates all workers of iniquity, thanks to HIS LOVE he made a provision so he did not have to hate us all, through the life and death of HIS dear son. IF that does not show you the ultimate example of love, nothing will.

When Paul said "none are righteous" and IF that meant there would never be none, then these passages below make no sense. But in fact they do, and they show that all the passages you cited, to teach that God hates everyone, teaches the opposite, God has made a provision for us all, because he loves us.

Matthew 25:37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Matthew 25:46: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These are not called righteous because they deserved God's grace, they are righteous because of God's grace. Without it, no matter how great a person was, he would be just another sinner waiting for death. But the gift of God is life through Christ - Rom 6:23
