It would seem that he does hate some people, as much as most modern Christians do not want that to be so.
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.

Is this about the 'God hates gays' post here? If so did you bother reading it first or just look at the title and jump? Or are you taking isolated extremists that don't reflect, or are not even accepted among most Christians, and trying to throw their crap at us as if it has anything to do with us?

God said honor your parents. Love your children and spouse.
God also said, if we do not hate our parents, children and spouses. we can not be with him.
Ever think the words "Hate" do not mean hate as we see the word?
God Loved jacob, as to Jacob was given the promises.
God loved esau, but not as much as jacob, because God did not give the promises to esau.
notice also, he is not talking about children, but nations which came from these Children.

They will know we are christians by our Love, by our Love. And they will know we are christians by our Love.

If it is, and, the Sprit is leading you to say this statement, you will know. God be with you, I pray. And, I am not fluffing things up, as I think everyone already KNOWS how I feel about a thread like this....

I'm not trying to stir anybody. I see photographs hither and yon featuring people waving placards that say "God Hates Fags", and I am disgusted.
Not only is the Christian God known by many to be a loving god, moreover the term is "homosexual", with the accepted vernacular being "gay".
I always thought the religious sect of Christianity to be one of compassion but to see followers of Christ waving signs bearing the words "God", "Hates" and "Fags" on them... well, I am a little bit distressed. This is far from being conducive to a loving, compassionate faith.

It isn't easy, but when it comes to how you view God, you can't rely on man to be a perfect reflection. Naturally, we'd rather look to someone (or look some where) else for answers.
The Bible is the only place where we can look at God and say, "This is who He is," and know for certain that is who God is.
If we look outside and see a "Christian" (now, that person may very well be a Christian who has a wrong view, don't get me wrong with the quotes) holding a sign that says, "God hates fags", that certainly does not reflect God's character.
The Bible is clear on the issue of homosexuality and what God thinks of it; He does not approve even one bit.
And the Bible is also clear of how God views people; He loves them to death (His death, seeing as Jesus is God, might I add).
