We are not saying man should abandon the Sabbath. What we are saying is that we don't have to have it on Saturday. Jesus never said what day of the week we should assemble.

Did you know that the Old Hebrew Calender was based on the New Moon? Did you know that The first month of their year was based off of the first new moon after the barley and flax opened? So they didn't even know when their Sabbaths were going to fall from year to year. Yet here you are trying to dictate exactly what day of the week to worship God on.

You swallow a camel and strain at a nat.

The sabbaths little “s” you speak of are the monthly sabbaths not the same as the weekly Sabbath “S”. Pulse Jesus lived in the time of the Romans. So he was around at the same time as the calendar we have today. They did not even finished the burial because of the sabbath. Paul both keep the Sabbth each week. All through Acts.

so, you think keeping the law and Sabbath is freedom. well, Paul said not to become entangled in the yoke of bondage ( the law ) in Galatians 5.
No. Letting Christ, the Spirit, the Faith work through us is freedom and the premise of Galatians.
Galatians has 6 chapters.

Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

To reveal his Son in us, that we might preach him among the heathen; that they glorify God in us.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed into Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

We are crucified with Christ: nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us.

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ.

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ.

But before faith came, (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.(The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) But after that faith (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (even we have believed into Jesus Christ). There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ)

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ). For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) which worketh by love.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ)

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual (of the Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) , restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ)

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit (The Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

But God forbid that we should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto us, and we unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (of the Faith which we now live through Christ that is of Christ) For We are crucified with Christ: nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us.

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

For the LORD our GOD will circumcise our hearts and the hearts of our seed. For righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ (GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law. In other words the Word; the Divine utterances. The Word manifested in the flesh; Christ) down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law. In other words the Word; the Divine utterances. The Word manifested in the flesh; Christ) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The Word (GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law; the Divine utterances; Christ, the Word manifested in the flesh manifested in our flesh) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart and in thy hand: (that thou mayest do it) that is, the word of faith, which we preach. And that my friend is the GOSPEL. Christ in us the hope of Glory; GOD!

(Gal 1:4,16,24;2:20,16 3:2-3,11,23-28; 4:4-6,19;5:5-6, 14, 16-21,24-25, 6:1-2, 7-8,14-15; 2Co 3:3-5; Rom.10:6-8; Deut 30:6,10-14)

Hi laymen,

Welcome here and nice to meet you. Yes absolutely! I can imagine though it would be a shock to many however that are use to following what the preachers of the day say instead of seeking God through prayer and the study of His Word fo rthemselves.

Many do not know that they are following a man made traditions and sincerely think they are following God.

I believe those that are truthful, honest and sincere will here God's Voice because they KNOW Jesus and Jesus KNOWS them. God's sheep hear his voice *the Word. Not everyone will hear of course because it is written; many are called but few are chosen.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Absolutely, the same as man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matt 4:4) It is ALL the Word of God we are to LIVE by and have LIFE but many want to pick and choose.

(I started off this post by debating a point, but it ended up becoming something totally different, I feel it's better this way)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRPpmeZ-bGA also new song again... yay xD

Something to think about...

He's command that Jesus gave to the disciples and command he gave on Sinai are one in the same.

James 2:
8If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

Now think, Likewise, the one who said to Moses

Exodus 3:14: And God said unto Moses,
I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Also said

John 9:5 As long as
I AM in the world, I AM the light of the world.

And he that told Israel Leviticus 11:45 For
I AM the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

And to his disciples

John 14:
5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

And the God that proclaimed himself in one time, also proclaimed it in another...

John 14: 10Believest thou not that I AM in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11Believe me that I AM in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

So Lastly, The God Commanded his Chosen People To...

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Also Commanded his Chosen 12...

John 14: 15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

So, God doesn't change Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
,Jesus is identical to the Father John 14: 7+23-24

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

The same God that wrote on tablets of stone, yes God, not Moses, Wrote in the Mud for the Pharisees (Or sadducees, Can't remember the exact ones in question, probably both)

GodBless..

Yes He did.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. Therefore:Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(Joh 1:1,3; Ex. 20:9-11)
Subtle conjoining of scripture! (Bad)

Neither was the earth made in 6 literal days, it took place over billions of years. H3117 yome means a period of time.

That did not affect the order of the days of the week. They have never changed. The Seventh day has always been the Seventh Day.
The Hebrew calendar is incorrect. It places Creation at 3761 BC. If they cannot get the age of the earth right, then no way can they get the day right.

Jesus corrected the calender when he rose on the Sunday: Mk 16:9, when he was crowned king on a Sunday: Acts 2:33-36, when the Holy Spirit first fell on Sunday Acts 2:1-4, when salvation was first preached on Sunday: Mt 16:19; Acts 2:1,38,40-41, when Jesus entered Jerusalem on "Palm Sunday"), and when he was first worshipped on a Sunday.

About the law I go with what jesus said about the 613 rules of the law in the Torah.
Matthew 5:13 to 20 NIV
Jesus saying he came to fulfill the law and the prophets.
Jesus did not come to fulfill God's Laws so you are free to break them. Those who practice KNOWN SIN (breaking God's 10 Commandments) will not enter into God's KINGDOM (Hebrews 10:26-27) because they have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son (Romans 6:23).

...................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

do you see salvation as kind of an on again off again kind of thing? you're saved until you practice known sin then you're unsaved til you repent them saved again until known sin
Salvation is a GIFT of God's Sacrifice to save MANKIND FROM SIN not IN SIN through FAITH in God's WORD in those who BELIEVE. If you are still in your SINS you do not KNOW him who calls you in LOVE to LOVE another and FOLLOW him who bids you COME walk on water...

If you continue to practice KNOWN SIN then you have rejected the GIFTof God's dear son (Hebrews 10:26:26; Romans 6:23) and need to seek him again in REPENTANCE and FAITH in his promise of FORGIVENESS (1 John 1:9).

1 John 2
1,
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

.................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Did I ask you a what a legalist was?
Proverbs 21:3

So what about Abraham? The Mosaic Law wasn't even given yet and yet he was counted "Righteous" because he believed on God's word. What do you think he believed on that saved him?
Don't think he kept a dedicated Sabbath day because the Bible doesn't mention that. LOL

Where does it say in God's Word that no one knew about God's laws before Moses? I think there is more evidence in God's Word showing that he followed ALL of God's laws if you know where to find the scriptures. According to many the Sabbath was not given until Sinai but scripture says differently as well.

are you using the same source of evidence that cannot produce one N.T. verse that commands Sabbath for Christ followers? ( not one ).

you and needs to study man certainly have no problem cutting and pasting and assuming and inserting. I think we should be very respectful of God's Word, but that's just me........

It is given to the blind to have eyes to see and the deaf to have ears to hear and the lame to walk while those seeing see not. Those hearing hear not and those walking walk not. These have closed their eyes and ears so God cannot heal them. The prophets say; Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Do you know the scriptures gb9? If you know the scriptures what do you think they mean?

THE SCATTERING OF THE SHEEP AND CHANGING TIME AND LAWS

DEUT.4 [27] And THE LORD SHALL SCATTER YOU AMONG THE NATIONS, AND YE SHALL BE LEFT FEW IN NUMBER AMONG THE HEATHEN, whither the LORD shall lead you.[28] And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.[29] BUT IF FROM THENCE THOU SHALT SEEK THE LORD THY GOD, THOU SHALT FIND HIM, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.[30] WHEN THOU ART IN TRIBULATION, AND ALL THESE THINGS ARE COME UPON THEE, EVEN IN THE LATTER DAYS, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;[31] (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

The Lord scatters the 10 {lost}tribes of the children of Israel amoung the gentiles for being disobedient. The lost sheep? Look what happens in the latter days.

MATT.15 [22]
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.[23] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.[24] But he answered and said, I AM NOT SENT BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP of the house of Israel.

Jesus said "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel". Do you believe Jesus?

JER.50 [4]
In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.[5] They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in A PERPETUAL COVENANT that shall not be forgotten.[6] MY PEOPLE HATH BEEN LOST SHEEP: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THEIR RESTINGPLACE.My people hath been lost sheep

they have forgotten their restingplace (they sure have)

let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten (remember the sabbath…)

Well, In Jeremiah we can find the sheep that Jesus came for. The remnant of the lost 10 tribes of the children of Israel, who believe they are nothing more than gentiles. Have the many been decieved, just as the new testament says. The sabbath rest has been forgotten, but as you can see, the lost sheep that Jesus came for will return to the “perpetual covenant” and keep Gods sabbath day. Do you believe these scriptures? If so, where do the gentiles fit in?

MATT.15 [24]
But he answered and said, I AM NOT SENT BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP of the house of Israel.Jesus said "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel"JEREMIAH 50 [4] IN THOSE DAYS, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God. Why? They forgot their resting placeISAIAH 2[2] And it shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS, that the mountain of THE LORD'S HOUSE SHALL BE ESTABLISHED IN THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAINS, AND SHALL BE EXALTED ABOVE THE HILLS; and all nations shall flow unto it. [3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of zion shall GO FORTH THE LAW, and THE WORD OF THE LORD FROM JERUSALEM.Look what happens in the last days
In Jer.50 we see how Gods people went from the mountains to the hills and had forgotten their restingplace? The sabbath. But in the above scripture it says “in the last days” the Lords house will be established on the top of the mountains and exalted above the hills. Jer.50 [5] also says that Gods people (the lost sheep Jesus said He came for) will return to His sabbath.

Who will hear the Word of the LORD and the call of him who calls us?

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

MATT.15 [22] And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.[23] But he answered her not a word.

I wish they would do as the Canaanite woman did and seek Jesus.

If you know the scriptures what do you think they mean?
the Gospel- believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.

greek word for believe- pisteuo- definitions- to have faith in, to entrust, commit, put trust in.

something seems to be missing from these things, hmm , what could it be? what could it be that you always push that is not in the Gospel?

Where does it say in God's Word that no one knew about God's laws before Moses? I think there is more evidence in God's Word showing that he followed ALL of God's laws if you know where to find the scriptures. According to many the Sabbath was not given until Sinai but scripture says differently as well.
The Sabbath was first observed by all Israel in Exodus 16. In general it was not observed by all Israel until then as the context clearly demonstrates. There is no expectancy that man as whole will keep it. It was given to ISRAEL only.

Besides the Creation Act of God show me where before Moses man was commanded to keep the Sabbath on Saturday?
