Well none of that is true.........
1 John 4, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

Ellen G White has been tested, found false and should not be believed.

Responded with....

Well none of that is true.........

1 John 2
1,
My little children, these things write I to you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2, And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Nope not what your saying...

3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Nope what you quoted is not even in the cahpter. Do you know him PS?

Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it.

.................

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we continue to knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
Now you say....

1 John 4, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." Ellen G White has been tested, found false and should not be believed.
What has your last post above got to do with you saying that I left the scripture out you are quoting from 1 John 2:3-4 when the preceeding verses 1 and 2 are different to what you are claiming?

None of what you are claiming is true at all. We should BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD.

Do you know Jesus PS?

1 John 2:2
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another. He that LOVES NOT KNOWS NOT God for GOd is LOVE and is why Jesus says; If you LOVE me Keep my Commandments.

Now Jackson was that really my question in the post I sent you earlier?

You posted that because there is a change of Priesthood that there is NO more God's 10 Commandments then quoted Hebrews 7:11.

Then we went through a lot of the Chapter of Hebrews 7 to show you that Hebrews 7 is not even talking about God's 10 Commandments in reference to the scripture you quoted.

So no Jackson let's it is very simple my friend you do not KNOW God's WORD and your teaching others that God's 10 Commandments are done away in order to keep your tradition that breaks God's LAW.

The questions I asked you were in relation to each of the scriptures we looked at in Hebrews 7. I asked you to tell me what law was being discussed. This was to show you and help you to see that the scriptures of Hebrews 7 and v11 are NOT talking about God's 10 Commandments.

Now you post something that is not even relevant to what is being discussed in the post I sent you?

You come back with this post................

Now let's look at what you have posted above...

Your trying to make an argument to say that God's 10 Commandments are Carnel right?

STRONGS: CARNAL is G4559 σαρκικός sarkikos (sar-kiy-kos') adj.
1. carnal, pertaining to flesh. 2. that which is motivated and controlled through the appetites and desires of the flesh.3. (by extension) bodily, temporal. 4. (by implication) animal, unregenerate. [from G4561] KJV: carnal, fleshly
from G4561 σάρξ sarx (sarx') n.1. flesh (as stripped of the skin). 2. (strictly) the meat of an animal (as food).
3. (by extension) the body (as opposed to the soul (or spirit), or as the symbol of what is external, or as the means of kindred). 4. (by implication) human nature (with its frailties (physically or morally) and passions).
5. (specially) a human being (as such). [probably from the base of G4563] KJV: carnal(-ly, + -ly minded), flesh(-ly)
Root(s): G4563

Hebrews v16 The word carnal commandment is in reference v15 that says; And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest; This is in reference to Jesus v16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

This is in reference to Jesus not having SIN. or needing commands for forgiveness because he did not sin. The Word carnal is in reference to the sinful nature.

So please tell me if you believe that v16 is referring to God's 10 Commandments as being sinful how do you explain these scriptures.....

Romans 7
12,
Why THE LAW IS HOLY, AND THE COMMANDMENT HOLY, JUST AND GOOD.

and

Romand 7
7, WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN IS THE LAW SIN? GOD FORBID. NO
, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shall not covet.

SO nope Jackson you do not know the scriptures.

Jackson you cannot see a Spirit and God only gives his Spirit to those who OBEY HIM (Acts 5:29-32).
You need to consider that it is ONLY through FAITH in God's WORD that works by LOVE that anyone can obey and follow Jesus because we are all SINNERS without him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another.

This is why Jesus says; If you LOVE me keep my COMMANDMENTS (John 14:15) because LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW in those who through FAITH walk in HIs SPIRIT (Romans 18:8-10; 8:1-4)

What you do not understand is LOVE that Gods writes in the heart of those who believe. It is only in LOVE that we can follow him who calls us to LOVE. God's people keep his Sabbath the same way all the other 10 Commandments are kept and that is NOT through an outward observation but INWARD through LOVE.

You need to come out of Sunday school my friend and BELIEVE and FOLLOW the Word of GOD. SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

.................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.
carnal has some meaning Dear, I already quote what carnal are from meriam dictionary

carnal not only mean sinfull but also mean non spiritual.

You may worship the Lord in carnal way, mean appear to be worship the Lord, sing and praising the Lord with

Melodious voice, not working oN sabbath, but drive a car, mean kindle fire, but his heart is not.

Then mentions Thou Shalt not Kill and thou Shall not commit adultery from the Ten Commandments and then a few other Statutes from the Book of the Law.

So your teaching that since the Commandments, have no other gods before ME, Idol worship, stealing, bestiality;etc are not mentioned we no longer need be concerned with them?
Wasn't Jesus talking about the Ten Commandments that stand for all time,
No; He mentions a few of those contained in the Decalogue, but also a few contained in the Book of the Law

Here are those to which point to the Ten Commandments.
Matt 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Matt 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Here are those to which point to the Book of the Law.
Matt 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

Matt 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

Matt 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Matt 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

while Paul was talking about Jewish customs that had become enshrined in law?
Depends what you mean by Jewish customs. As seen above many of the laws contained in the Book of the Law (Moses) are still valid. Anything penned that shows us what sin is or prevent us from sinning must be heeded.

However it is more than that. GOD has mandated Laws to protect our physical well being also. Acts 15 prove this.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. For (because) Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
(Act 15:20-21)

A few things should be noted from the above text. First and foremost, the new converts are being commanded to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

These Laws are Dietary health and Moral laws from the Book of the Law (Moses) not the Ten Commandments.

Second thing to note is verse 21 starts with the word "for". This word means that what comes after it is the reason for what was previously stated.

In other words according to grammar and context he is saying, let's not over burden them they will get what they need, because Moses (the Book of the Law) is read every Sabbath Day in the synagogues where and when they meet.

If any thing these verses prove they were meeting on and therefore keeping the Sabbath and that some of the Laws from the Book of the Law are still part of a Christian's life through the indwelling Christ.

Note that no mention of Sabbath keeping is included.
No mention of any of the Ten Commandments. To assert any of them is to assume. These are all from the Book of the Law. The Ten Commandments are not in question here. According to the context of the chapter Circumcision and the Book of the Law are.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. For (because) Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Rom 14:4-6
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
KJV

No mention of the Sabbath Day here. Don't assume what is not there.

Col 2:16-17
6 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
KJV

Verse 14 reads the handwriting to the ordinances that were against us; not the handwriting of ordinances. The Decalogue is of the Ordinances, not the handwriting to the ordinances. The Ordinances are the Decalogue and the Commandments and Statutes contained in the Book of the Law that pertained to righteousness. These are they which let us know what sin is. These Were not against us. The Judgements and Statutes that related to when we sin are.

And having spoiled (stripping off) principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Through Christ there is no need for the principalities and powers; the handwriting to the ordinances contained in the Book of the Law that were mandated due to our sinning because through Jesus we do not need them. They condemned us due to our sinning. We now have victory over sin through Christ. And if we do sin we have an Advocate (Helper) toward the Father; Jesus Christ!

The Ten Commandments are not against us only the statutes and judgement in the Book of the Law in relation to when we sin were.

Take this Book of the Law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

(Deu 31:26 KJV)

Mind you it was the judgements that were against us not those Laws to which showed us our sin. Colossians needs to be understood correctly. Ordinances would be any Law contained there in that dealt with our Spiritual and physical well being. Not all that Moses penned was against us. Not all was judgements (cursing)

For GOD has said, I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
(Deu 30:19-20 KJV)

Blessings and cursings were contained in the Book of the Law. Obviously the blessings are not against us only the cursings in relation to when we sin are.

Nothing has passed from the Law. The Law is still in full force and effect. The purpose of the Law is to persuade people that we can't please God by our own efforts; and that we need a Savior. It also reveals that Jesus is that Savior.
The purpose of the Law is to point us to Christ and show who we are in Christ. That is salvation and that my friend is the Gospel.

Don't forget the 'buts' (But I say unto you.)

Here are the first three you gave:

Mat 5:21-22
(21) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
(22) But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mat 5:27-28
(27) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
(28) But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 5:33-34
(33) Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
(34) But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

Here Jesus is strengthening the law. Below are fifty of Christ's commandments and as far as I can tell, that is the sum total. The commandments of Christ are much harder to keep than the old ones, and they lead to a more harmonious society. What has happened to the other 563 including those that say to stone or otherwise kill? They are GONE.

If anyone professes to be a Christian, then they need to follow Jesus and not Moses. Are you going to play basketball to the rules of baseball? Of course not.

(34) But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

Here Jesus is strengthening the law. Below are fifty of Christ's commandments and as far as I can tell, that is the sum total. 50 Commands of Jesus - Practical Bible study - 15 lessons - What they mean today
And yet if you do not have LOVE and break ANY one of the 10 Commandments you do not keep any of those above.

So how do you know if you really KNOW him?

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another.

Do you know Jesus PS?

..............

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hello DC nice to see you. Hope you are well. There is no such thing as once saved always saved. If you CONTINUE in KNOWN SIN once you have received a KNOWLEDGE of the truth it will keep you out of God's KINGDOM because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son.

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

31, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Matthew 7
22,
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?
23, And THEN I WILL PROFESS TO THEM, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME YOU WHO WORK SIN (INIQUITY)

KNOWN SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

Yet your not BELIEVING or LOVING God or your fellow man if your breaking any of God's 10 Commandments.

so, a man writes a letter, you regularly cite part of that letter, then when the man , same man, explains what he is referring to, you dismiss it, because you are only interested in the part of the letter that you can bend toward Sabbath keeping.

John was not referring to the Ten, he said believe in the name of the Son, and love one another. not Sabbath.

Don't forget the 'buts' (But I say unto you.)
As Jesus said, Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
(Mat 5:17-18 KJV)

To fulfill is do to the uttermost. To show the full extant of what GOD had wanted from the beginning. That is the reason for the buts. To magnify the Life in which GOD had intended from the beginning. A life in HIM and HE in us. For it is HE that wants to work in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure.

The Law is pertaining to what sin is. That would include those in the Decalogue and the Book of the Law (Moses). This is brought out in the post to which you responded.

Below are fifty of Christ's commandments and as far as I can tell, that is the sum total. The commandments of Christ are much harder to keep than the old ones, and they lead to a more harmonious society.
This is the sum total:

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang (depend) all the law and the prophets.
(Mat 22:36-40 KJV)

In other words everything in the Decalogue and those laws contained in the Book of the Law that deal with what sin is depend on us Loving GOD and our fellow man with all our heart, mind and soul. For GOD is LOVE and as HE is so are we in this world. For it is He THAT works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure. With out this LOVE; Christ in us, moving and empowering us with HIS heart and mind we are obeying in our own efforts devoid of the Spirit; devoid of GOD; LOVE. For HE doeth the Work.

What has happened to the other 563 including those that say to stone or otherwise kill? They are GONE.
Those laws that pertained to when we sinned, and the Holy Days and Sabbaths that related to them are done away with. As are those that made Israel distinct from others. For we are now one in Christ.

If anyone professes to be a Christian, then they need to follow Jesus and not Moses.
Those of GOD never followed Moses they followed GOD through what HE gave Moses to pen.

Yep....and there is such a thing as context....Hebrews 10 and the context thereof does not support your conclusion no matter how much you try to twist it to fit friend....
