Its pretty easy.
Galatians 3:10-11

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Everyone who works at the law in their own understanding and strength DOES NOT submit themselves to the Righteousness of God.

If they are working at the law then they are under the curse. If they are under the curse then they cannot be Righteous.

Do you just pretend not to understand these scriptures or do you really not get the simplicity of this?

2 Peter 3:16-17

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Solution;
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Seems like you are stuck in a cycle Grandpa? I posted this before for you maybe you did not read it? If you did read it why are you repeating the same old things that have no relevance to anyone or the OP?

I love all the scriptures you have quoted. Although I am not sure what your point is? No one here is telling you that we are saved by what we do apart from faith. So your trying to build an argument that is not there. If you have no argument and people believe and agree with the scriptures you have quoted you have nothing to argue about.

We are talking about SIN however and how it will keep you out of God's Kingdom. If we do not repent of our SINS and our faith does not work by love that produces the fruit of obedience you WILL be lost. The fruit of Love is the Gift of God in those that walk in His Spirit and a sign that they are the true believers because they follow God's WOrd by faith in love.

For example God's Word says...........................

Hebrews 10
26, For IF WE SIN WILLFULLY AFTER THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, THERE REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS,
27
, BUT A FEARFUL LOOKING FOR OF JUDGEMENT AND FIERY INDIGNATION, WHICH SHALL DEVOUR THE ADVERSARIES.

Hebrews 6
4, For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7, For the earth which drinks in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8, But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

1 John 2:2-4
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 3:3-10
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

Psalms 1
5, Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6, For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2 Peter 2
3, And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.
4, For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5, And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6, And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly;
7, And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

Jude 1
14, And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Ecclesiastes 12
13, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14, For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Isaiah 1
28, And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Isaiah 13
9, Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isaiah 33
14, The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15, He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16, He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Proverb 8
36, But he that sins against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death

Ezekiel 18

4, Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
20, The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21, But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22, All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23, Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24, But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25, Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26, When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27, Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28, Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
29, Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
30, Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
31, Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
32, For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves , and live ye.

Proverbs 28
9, He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Ezekiel 33
10, Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
11, Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
12, Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
13, When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
14, Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15 , I f the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
16, None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

Romans 6
23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we break any one of the ten we stand guilty before God of SIN (James 2:8-11) and need to repent and seek his forgiveness (Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 2:1; 1 John 1:9). Those that continue a life in known unrepentant sin will not enter into God's Kingdom (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

their are 31,102 verses in the Bible. one cannot just pluck out 1300 and ignore the rest. the Books of the Cannon were not divided into chapters until the mid 1300's. then verses came in the 1600's. so, when you mention " who should we believe , God or men? ", well men did the chapters and verses hundreds of years after the Cannon was assembled. by men.
Who is ignoring the rest? All the scriptures are in harmony with each other. If you find your interpretation of the scriptures are in conflict you need to seek God because this should be a WARNING to you that your interpretation of the scriptures may not be correct. Trying to say God's Word is of men is something else and to say that God is not in control of His Word. The scriptures tell us that; ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16) we are to live by EVERY WORD if it because that is where we have LIFE (Matthew 4:4). It is God's Word and we should BELIEVE him and follow him.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in God's Word that says God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

God bless

Hi TMS, Absolutely, I am amazed how anyone would actually think Sunday is the Lord's Day when God's Word says the Sabbath is the Lord's Day.

Where does the New Testament teach that the Sabbath is the Lord's day? You just assume it.

Amen! Sabbatarians maintain that the "Lord's day" is the Sabbath and maintain that Jesus said he was Lord of the Sabbath. However, this is a very weak argument and the actual evidence for the first day (Sunday) is MUCH stronger! :) The Lord's Day - Revelation 1:10 ... The First Day!

Hi mailmandan and valiant,

Great question. I am glad you asked. Can you show me from God's Word where it says Sunday is the "Lord's Day" ? Revelations 1:10 certainly does not say Sunday is the "Lord's Day".

What does God's Word say is the "Lord's Day"..............................

Matthew 12:8
For the SON OF MAN IS LORD OF THE SABBATH DAY.

So according to scripture it looks like John was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day alright which according to God's Word is the Sabbath day.... Now if your opinion, is that this is a weak argument when Jesus is telling us himself that the "Lord's Day is the Sabbath day"

Please by all means show the scripture that says the "Lord's Day" is Sunday and if you cannot should you not believe God's Word?

hi Hebrew roots/ seven day Adventist,

can you show one verse, just one, that says gentiles were ever under the law. because, the law was given to Moses on Sinai , to the nation of Israel. note how many times in the Torah God says.. it shall be a statue forever to/ for the nation of Israel...,

in Hebrews 8, the writer says of the Old Covenant - what is old is about to disappear.

and, once again, in 1st John chapter 3- John says the commands for N. T. believers are believe in the Son and love one another.

so, will you believe these truths, or just write commentary of your denomination, and plug in out of context whenever you need?

we'll see

Amen! Sabbatarians are unable to produce ONE Scripture that states plainly and clearly that worshipping God on Sunday violates His commands.

In regards to the SDA church, what is it with this perverted Sabbath gospel, as taught by Ellen White? Keeping the Sabbath in order to secure salvation is certainly a "different" gospel and is a disturbing false doctrine to say the least!

Ellen White has written much in regards to keeping the Sabbath and salvation:

It means eternal salvation to keep the Sabbath holy unto the Lord. God says: "Them that honor Me I will honor." {6T 356.4}

But if we turn aside from the fourth commandment, so positively given by God, to adopt the inventions of Satan, voiced and acted by men under his control, we cannot be saved. We cannot with safety receive his traditions and subtleties as truth. {RH, July 6, 1897 par. 4}

No one who disregards the fourth commandment, after becoming enlightened in regard to the claims of the Sabbath, can be held guiltless in the sight of God. {RH, July 6, 1897 par. 14}

As persons become convinced from the Scriptures that the claims of the fourth commandment are still binding, the question is often raised, Is it necessary in order to secure salvation that we keep the Sabbath? This is a question of grave importance. If the light has shone from the word of God, if the message has been presented to men, as it was to Pharaoh, and they refuse to heed that message, if they reject the light, they refuse to obey God, and cannot be saved in their disobedience. {RH, January 5, 1886 par. 2}

But if we turn aside from the fourth commandment, so positively given by God, to adopt the inventions of Satan, voiced and acted by men under his control, we cannot be saved. We cannot with safety receive his traditions and subtleties as truth. {RH, July 6, 1897 par. 4}

All will be judged according to the light that has shone upon them. If they have light upon the Sabbath, they cannot be saved in rejecting that light.{HS 234.3}

Another disturbing teaching by Ellen White is..... those who reject God's memorial of creatorship--the Bible Sabbath--choosing to worship and honor Sunday...will receive the mark of the beast.":rolleyes:

Hi MMD,

You must follow the word of website to follow your own traditions because you do not know the scriptures. For me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him. All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that see that do not see. These are they that have once known him or do not know him. Who am I that he should choose me out of the world? I am no one but he is all. If I did not believe him I would not know him. What can I do without him? He is love and now I love. I follow him now because I love him who first loved me. I do not judge you but His Word will judge us because they are there for all to see. All are welcome to see and hear God's Word, however many are called but few are chosen.

It is given to the blind to have eyes to see and ears to hear and the lame to walk while those seeing see not. Those hearing hear not and those walking walk not. This is because spiritual things are spiritually discerned. They that be whole do not need the physician but those that are sick seek him. Many do not know the meaning.

Who can know the mind of God? As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways from your ways and so are my thoughts from your thoughts. But the Spirit of truth is given only to those that are poor. He is the teacher of all the poor in spirit, he knows them all by name because he reads the intent of the heart that is sick. Who can look into the mirror that God gives to see who they are? These are those the look into the mirror and see God. The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God neither can he know them because in his mind they are foolishness. Now you say you see therefore your sin remains.

Come let us reason together; Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Call upon me while I am near, tomorrow may be too late and why will you die when by my stripes you may be healed. With an everlasting love have I loved you and with loving kindness have I drawn you therefore why will you turn from me? It is hard to kick against the pricks.

Hello gb9,

Well I do not think there is any need for name calling as I do not think it is a fruit of the Spirit. What are you talking about gentiles for? There is only BELIEVERS or UNBELIEVERS in God's Word.......

THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: FOR YOU ALL ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS and IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN ARE YOU ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (Galatians 3:28).

No explanation needed, believe God's Word, and again..........................

FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED (Romans 9:6).

FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29)

Believe the scriptures......................................................................

Galatians 3:28-29
,
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Colossians 3:11,
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Romans 10:11-13,
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 2:28-29,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel..........................

Jeremiah 31:33-4,
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:10-12,For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 10:14-17,
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Galatians 3:29,

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

The New Covenant is for God's Israel which represent God’s followers the believers. If you are not part of God's Israel you are not part of the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Israel are those that believe the Word of God and follow it and is why Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15)

This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11). If we break one of God's commandments we stand guilty before God of breaking them all (James 2:8-12)

Romans 2:12
For AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Romans 3:19
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and ALL THE WORLD MAY BECOME GUILTY BEFORE GOD.

If you are not a part of God's Israel (those that BELIEVE and FOLLOW GOD'S WORD) you are not a part of the NEW COVENANT..............

Hebrews 8:10-12
10, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:5 and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11, And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

It is Unrepentant SIN that will keep you OUT of God's Kingdom.

Hebrews 10

26, For if we SIN WILLFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Very clear to me that God's Word is only for the "BELIEVERS" in God's Word. "UNBELIEVERS" have no part in the Kingdom of Heaven.

God bless

In Hebrews 8, the writer says of the Old Covenant - what is old is about to disappear.
To understand Hebrews 8 you need to understand the Old and the New Covenant. We talked about this earlier. Maybe you did not read my post to you. How can you understand Hebrews 8 if you do not understand the Old and the New Covenant and the purpose of God's Law and the Mosaic laws for the remission of sin and what their purpose was in the Covenants?

Let's have a look at the Old and NEW Covenants from God's Word. What was the Old Covenant.........

Deuteronomy 4
13, And he declared unto you HIS COVENANT, which he commanded you to perform, EVEN THE TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

God's Law was part of the Old Covenant and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin written in a book................

Exodus 24
5, And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
6, And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7, AND HE TOOK THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT AND READ IN THE AUDIENCE OF THE PEOPLE: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8, And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, BEHOLD THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.Deuteronomy 29
21, And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, ACCORDING TO ALL THE CURSES OF THE COVENANT THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THIS LAW:

Deuteronomy 31
24, And it came to pass, when MOSES HAD MADE AN END OF WRITING THE WORDS OF THIS BOOK, UNTIL THEY WERE FINISHED,
25, That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
26, TAKE THIS BOOK OF THE LAW, AND PUT IT IN THE SIDE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF THE LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee

So it is very clear that God's Law (10 commandments) and the Mosaic laws written in a book together made up the Old Covenant to God's people. The Ark of the Covenant was the home of the covenant to God and His people which God's Word says includes both (1) God’s Law (10 commandments) written on stone and (2) The laws of Moses written in book. Together these made up the Old Covenant.

God's Law (10 commandment) written on stone as well as the Mosaic Laws for remission of sin. Both had a different purpose under the Old Covenant. God's Law was the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS. While the Mosaic laws were for the remission of sin if someone broke any of the 10 commandments.

What does God's Word say about the purpose of God's Law and the Mosaic law............................

(1) God’s Law (10 commandments)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (right doing) is and the describes the penalty for sin (Romans 3:20; 1 John3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the saviour of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

More scriptures on this subject here linked, showing the Shadows of the Mosaic laws linking Old Testament and New Testament scriptures...........

Just as the Mosaic laws were temporary pointing to Jesus, God's Law is forever and the standard of the Old Covenant the New Covenant and the Judgement to come......

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16 ) whatsoever God does is forever n othing can be added to it or taken away ( Ecclesiastes 3:14 ). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7). It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12). God's Law w as spoken by God himself to His people ( Exodus 20:1-22 ). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words s hall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today ( Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour ( Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4 ). It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of Go d and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5).

The New Covenant of LOVE.............

Hebrews 8
10, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of ISRAEL after those days, saith the Lord; I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEART: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11, And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

In the New Covenant Jesus sacrifice is for our remission of SINS we are no longer under the Law of Moses. God's Law however remains the same as it always has as the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and leads all who would seek forgiveness to our Savoir. God's Law under the New Covenant for the BELIEVER is no longer written on stone but on the heart because they BELIEVER walks by faith through LOVE in God's Word (Spirit) and LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW in the BELIEVER. (Hebrews chapters 8-10; Galatians 3:24-25)

Jesus says; Now you are CLEAN THROUGH THE WORD which I have spoken unto you. ABIDE IN ME <the Word>, and I IN YOU. As the branch cannot BEAR FRUIT of itself, except it abide in the vine; NO MORE CAN YOU, except you ABIDE IN ME. I am the vine, ye are the branches: HE THAT ABIDES IN ME AND I IN HIM, the same brings forth much FRUIT: for WITHOUT ME <the Word> YOU CAN DO NOTHING. If a man ABIDE NOT IN ME <the Word>, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye ABIDE IN ME <the Word>, and MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, THAT YOU BARE MUCH FRUIT; SO SHALL YOU BE MY DISCIPLES. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, YOU SHALL ABIDE IN MY LOVE; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love (John 15:3-10).

God's Law (10 commandments) are still the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS. If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:26-27; 31)

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

once again, in 1st John chapter 3- John says the commands for N. T. believers are believe in the Son and love one another. so, will you believe these truths, or just write commentary of your denomination, and plug in out of context whenever you need? we'll see
CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23.................................

1 JOHN 3 [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. [4] Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW sin is the transgression of the law. [5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. [6] WHOSOEVER ABIDES IN HIM SINS NOT: WHOSOEVER SINS HAS NEITHER SEEN HIM OR KNOWS HIM. [7] LITTLE CHILDREN LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU: HE THAT DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS IS RIGHTEOUS, EVEN AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS. [8] HE THAT COMMITS SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; THE DEVIL SINS FROM THE BEGINNING. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9], WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD DOES NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [10] IN THIS THE CHILDREN OF GOD ARE MANIFEST, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL: WHOSOEVER DOES NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loves not his brother.

[14] We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
[15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that NO MURDERER hath eternal life abiding in him.

LOVE is indeed however the fulfilling of God's Law in those who walk not in the flesh but in the Spirit......

The CONTEXT of v 23 is that SIN is breaking God's Commandments v4. His followers do not practice SIN. Those that do practice SIN are not GOd's followers. Why are we talking about God's Law (10 commandments)? You cannot separate LOVE from GOD's LAW (10 commandments. v.15 Shows what we are talking about with LOVE and HATE and uses MURDER as an example of hate (thou shalt not kill; 6th commandment Exodus 20:13)

It's all about the CONTEXT not PLUCKING up scripture out of nowhere let's compare scripture with scripture............

You cannot separate God’s Law of love from the 10 commandments because they are connected to each other. There is no need for confusion here. God’s Word makes it very clear.

Let's have a look.............................................. ..

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.................

Matthew 22
36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer........................................... ...........

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
1 7, And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God>

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James............................................. ...................

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.
12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word...........................

Romans 13
8, Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbour: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:26-27; 31)

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Romans 2:12
For AS MANY AS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

God bless

you quoted Galatians 3 v. 28-29. well, you know, since Galatians is a letter, and meant to be read as such, if you go to the start of chapter 3- Paul said - does God give you the Holy Sprit and work miracles among you because you obey the law- no because you believe the message you heard about Christ ( v. 5 )

he goes on to say that the Scriptures look forward to a time when God make the gentiles right with Him through faith. (v.8 )

he also says that those who depended on the Law are under a curse, (v. 10 )

here is my point - most of that chapter Paul makes it very clear that we are not under the Law, gentiles never were, nor were they put under ( made right by faith ). so, what you did was cherry pick the last verses, which in context Paul was saying that we are the same in Christ through faith , but you attempted to use them to make it seem we are under the law, while the whole chapter said we are not. deception at is finest.

now, I do not have time to prove you wrong on every thing your cult believes, but that is a good example of how you attempt to operate. but it fails when you get to someone who has read the Bible through many times. we know what it says. you try to change it. you fail.

Hello Snoozy,

There is only life in the living Word. These are his Words and not my own. Freely I give because freely I have received. Your Words are not directed towards me but to the one who the Word belongs. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? There is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. I must speak in the light and what I hear preach in the housetops. Many will not hear because they do not know Him. He is the Word of God and those that believe him are those that he has chosen. They follow him because they love him and are loved by him.

You say that I have not answered you in deception, but I indeed answered you with His Word but you do not hear him because you have chosen not to hear his Word to you and you do not know him. I do not judge you but His Word will judge us because they are there for all to see. All are welcome to see and hear God's Word, however many are called but few are chosen.

Do you know the scriptures?

why does this website allow the deception of the accursed adventist gospel? why can they preach it? are the owners what denomination if any? i hope God is merciful and no new believers gets trapped in this cult.
PS. God's Word is not deception. If you believe what I am sharing is deception then why is it you cannot show from scripture that anything I have presented to you is not correct? If you cannot show from the scriptures anything that I have presented is not correct why do you not believe God's Word? They are His Words and not mine and will judge us all in the last days...........

John 12
47, And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48, He that rejects me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
here we see the accursed gospel of keep the sabbath or else ur not saved and hebrews 10:26 is for u. false gospel.

There is only life in the living Word. These are his Words and not my own. Freely I give because freely I have received. Your Words are not directed towards me but to the one who the Word belongs. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

Do you know the scriptures?

i do know the scriptures. u know how to quote em, but u dont know how to rightly divide the word of truth.

you quoted Galatians 3 v. 28-29. well, you know, since Galatians is a letter, and meant to be read as such, if you go to the start of chapter 3- Paul said - does God give you the Holy Sprit and work miracles among you because you obey the law- no because you believe the message you heard about Christ ( v. 5 )

he goes on to say that the Scriptures look forward to a time when God make the gentiles right with Him through faith. (v.8 )

he also says that those who depended on the Law are under a curse, (v. 10 )

here is my point - most of that chapter Paul makes it very clear that we are not under the Law, gentiles never were, nor were they put under ( made right by faith ). so, what you did was cherry pick the last verses, which in context Paul was saying that we are the same in Christ through faith , but you attempted to use them to make it seem we are under the law, while the whole chapter said we are not. deception at is finest.

now, I do not have time to prove you wrong on every thing your cult believes, but that is a good example of how you attempt to operate. but it fails when you get to someone who has read the Bible through many times. we know what it says. you try to change it. you fail.
Hello gb9,

Yes Galatians 3:28-29 was indeed quoted in Post # 632. There was a lot of scripture quoted in this post to you as well as Post # 633 and Post # 634

God's Word tells us All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ). When studying topics in God's Word we should be comparing scripture against scripture; line upon line (CONTEXT); here a little there a little; precept upon precept ( Isaiah 28:10-13 ) but spiritual things are only Spiritually discerned and without God's Spirit being our teacher (John 14:26), who can know the Word of God? For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)

You quote your own words over the Word of God and say..............

now, I do not have time to prove you wrong on every thing your cult believes, but that is a good example of how you attempt to operate. but it fails when you get to someone who has read the Bible through many times. we know what it says. you try to change it. you fail.
There is nothing new under the sun. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub,6 how much more shall they call them of his household? (Matthew 10:25)

Here is my point to be "under the Law" also means to be convicted by God's Law (10 commandments) of breaking it. Only the "BELIEVERS" and "FOLLOWERS" of God's Word are NOT "UNDER THE LAW" because by faith that works by LOVE they have the fruit of OBEDIENCE to God's Word because by their FAITH in God Word they have power to walk on water because Jesus bids them come (2 Corinthians 2:5; Romans 1:16; John 15:3-10; 2 Peter 1:4)

SIN is the transgression of God' Law (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). If we are still in our SINS we do not know HIM who loves all and need to be born again (1 John 3:3-10)

God bless
