When you add to somebody's words which they did not say - you do this from an evil heart, seeking to make that person out to being dishonest/liar, which you did against my words.

You were given kind words and you trampled them under your feet in pride.

You followed in Eve's footsteps in the Garden - repent
I think you may want to re-read studentoftheword's message--it was very gracious --she disagreed with your position respectfully---I can see if she misunderstood --as you wrote quite a bit, but she didn't attack you--she even called you Precious brother, but you in turn called her a 'liar' , said she needed to 'repent', that she was 'prideful' and was 'following in Eve's footsteps'--who is being unkind here? who is being prideful? And you asked Magenta to forgive you and said you reacted out of 'Sorrow'. Seriously?

Grace doesn't seem to be working that well for any of you--you may want to try obedience,

A new commandment i give to you, "to love one another."

23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

Don't follow her ways, which you just did by repeating a false accusation.
Better go back and read her posts carefully - she pulled a Judas and i was not expecting it.

She added words to my words which i did not say - her attempt to make me a liar, which backfired on her.

Her heart was not in the right place and she was building this up for her chance to find fault with me, just as the pharisees and scribes did with our LORD.

My error was not seeing it coming and responding heatedly as i hate when people add to God's words what He did not say and to my words what i did not say - the Eve moment in the Garden with the Twisted one.

For me, it would be not reverencing my Father like I should.

You're going to have to come to your own conclusion on that one.
Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

We are free to worship the LORD any day and everyday of the week - Saturday is no longer in effect before God.

But know this - if you seek to work on the Sabbath Rest of God you commit sin for God Rested from His works and His works are the bringing forth of what we read in Genesis to Revelation = which is CHRIST, the REST of GOD.

It is either the Law or Christ - only One pleases the Father

As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven said,
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”

Matt 3:16

Compare Matthew 3:16 to John 3:16

There is only One Sabbath Rest of GOD

I have a saying that I've adopted. "You may not agree with me, but I'll defend your right to disagree with me."
I think here, for the most part, you're not understanding where I'm coming from. I'm not a legalist and I hate man-made religion.
I choose to honor the Sabbath, not because it was part of the Mosiac law, but because He instituted it during creation.
It's a personal thing...I don't push it on anyone else.

Do what you think best, according to scripture.
"In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Judges 17

Do we not now, presently, have a King in Israel that we should obey?

Why did God say this: "For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD.
Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must surely be put to death." Exodus 31:15

Did the LORD Jesus Christ, the King of Israel say we must follow the Law?
OR
Did HE say:

But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

I have read your posts and do understand you, and i DO NOT question your faith in the LORD - AMEN

i started this Thread so that the Body of Christ may understand FULLY the Will of God concerning His Sabbath Rest.

i said to you, and to everyone - We are FREE in Christ to worship any day of the week = Saturday is no longer in effect before God.

But if anyone thinks that the commandment under the Mosaic Law (Exodus 31:15) is still in effect and thus seeking to please God in honoring this commandment, they have erred from the Truth and are seeking to resurrect what God nailed to the Cross and left for Dead.

TWO were nailed to the Cross = Christ and the Law = only ONE rose from the Dead = the KING of Israel

We are FREE to worship the LORD on Saturday or any other day. Saturday is not God's Sabbath Rest = CHRIST IS.

There is a difference between God's Commands--the 10 Commandments that God wrote in stone with His own finger--this signifies they are into perpetuity and the Mosaic Law--which keeps getting quoted here to refute keeping the Sabbath. Scripture says if you break one of the commands, you break ALL of them. Why does it say that? It is because they are a package deal. Works and works of the law in the New Testament is referring to the Mosaic Law, not the 10 Commandments. All 10 Commandments are mentioned in the New Testament, though not in list form.

I have never kept the Sabbath and had recently began to wonder about it--why we believe we are to keep the commandments, with exception of the Sabbath and why do most churches meet corporately on Sunday when in Acts the believers gathered in assembly on the Sabbath (as well as everyday).

Also, even though we have explained our position-- for example, we are asked if a person can work on Sabbath. Well each person must follow their own conscious--a doctor or restaurant owner, many occupations may need to work on the Sabbath--it is a day of set aside by God for rest and remembrance-not a law to be kept--there is no doing in that.

Note too, Jesus as our Sabbath rest means we are not under the Mosaic Law--as in animal sacrifices--He was our final sacrifice. He does not replace the DAY. Even if no one were to keep the Sabbath, it is still the Sabbath! It's nonsensical to say He replaces the Sabbath--it is talking about our rest in Him, not that he actually replaces the Sabbath Day. (btw, new moons, a sabbath day--'a' sabbath day is a special/high holy day--this not speaking of THE Sabbath Day)

"For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things,I 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once [a]purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins."--Hebrews 10:1-3

This is speaking of the Mosaic Law--where do you see anywhere spoken of animal sacrifice in the Commandments?

The first day is mentioned in a couple of verses, but it is noting time that something occurred, not that it was a special day to worship--Constantine is actually the one who instituted Sunday as a day of rest.

"He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws."--Daniel 7:25

I keep hearing in a variety of ways--"I worship God everyday"--first of all, if that were really the case, I would think one would be more mature in their faith and would be exhibiting the fruit of the spirit, e.g.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."--Galatians 5:22-23

I think that the Sabbath day and the sabbath rest are being mistaken for the same thing. One enters the sabbath rest, accepting by faith that Christ's atonement is all that is needed to free one from the results of breaking God's holy law.
Any effort at all to gain God's acceptance outside of what Christ did on the cross is unbelief. I've been guilty of that before.
I don't honor the Sabbath to gain God's acceptance...I already have that.

Can we just lay this down? We're getting nowhere. We both agree that we are to love God and each other. We have a lot in common.

Where are the Ten Commandments right now at this very moment???
The point I was making was differentiating between the Mosaic Law with its animal sacrifices and the Commandments which we are called to OBEY>

David, true believers know the Commandments are written on our hearts via the Holy Spirit--even unbelievers believe in many of the commands--and they are also in Scripture for us to study and meditate on----again--it makes no sense that Jesus told us if we love Him we will keep His commandments and John says if we love God we keep his commands and they are NOT BURDENSOME.

This idea of 'it's all about grace' and we don't have to OBEY has gotten us a church rife with sin, that looks like the world, that treats Jesus like a mascot and God like a genie in a bottle--only taken out when they have a need.

I see little of any reverential fear, any notion that God is Almighty, the Awesome Creator of the Universe. So few read their bibles--I see people in the church--who SERVE in the church--accept couples living together, gay marriage, getting drunk, looking at porn, watching movies, some of which even unbelievers would not watch. Unloving, unkind, selfish, self centered-on and on...

People actually believe because they are covered by God's grace they are free to lo live how they want, even though Christ and the apostles were constantly exhorting the believers to obey--to 'walk in the light as He is in the light.'

"Should we continue to sin, that grace may abound? May it never be!"
