Well their cause just trampled on God's Word by redefining marriage...big mistake.

It really is such a strategic blunder, for those who thrive on the ability to deceive, put on sheep's clothing to evil ends. Yes, big mistake, but it's something the unregenerate do, really just another of many tells, if one has eyes to see. The blind are going to stumble.

Ugh we live watching what media gives us. We cant help that.
I remember when the death of anna nicole smith got mote coverage than the middle east crisis. Its sick. She was a goldigger prostitute. I gave up on media like since birth lol
I remember that, too. There was also that girl in Aruba, trumping all other things going on, like genocide. And did you see that comedy skit, something like, "Now, with your O.J. news, anchor person... coming up, your O.J. weather, after news from your O.J. sponsor..."

On a lot of fronts, the world is in such a delicate state of peril and depravity, more than ever it's as if the other shoe is about to drop.

Oh yeah, fake teachers and preachers...

2 Peter 2:1-6 (KJV)
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

They want to be accepted ...and.....they want their cause to be recognized .
We may not accept their lifestyle, but we sure do give their cause a lot of recognition.

As Jesus states in Luke 17:25
It will happen. Its gonna happen.

You just pricked my heart, boggled my mind...and gave me a different perspective. My personal 'hangup' over homosexuals is that most of them claim that GOD made them that way from birth. Which means, they want to worship, praise, read the same Sunday School quarterly as me..etc..with NO change in their lifestyle. Why should they? Their pastor lets them take part in all church functions and take various positions within the church business areas. They have it made..They go to church, put an offering in the plate, thinking that GOD is blessing them and smiling down upon them, then they go home with their same sex partner(s) and spend the evening sodomizing, again, with GOD's blessing. They do not plan to changing, for they now have RIGHTS and privileges and GOD has ordained it. What a joke! Where does the Holy Spirit play a part in this? This only tells our young people that it is very cool to 'warm up" and be friendly to gays for they are alright..no harm done..being nice to people is what JESUS would do...so there ya go! Most churches are a cosey club of gays, straights, people living together but not married, making sure offering plate is passed, the bingo games, yard/bake sales are organized, and nobody is offended.

Not surprising but irritating that true Christian people don't write what Bible says. The fake ones are writing books twisting the gospel. More Christians should write books so that the youngster will have something to read when they search for it. I am shocked as not many are writing against it.

Yes the falling away of the church is happening right now, as I have seen some bad twisting of scripture by doctrines being taught not only on here but out in the world.

I don't know how many people I have seen take and put salvation before endurance, but I have not found one scripture in the bible that does that as they all put endurance before the salvation. I would like for once one of those who twist this to put the salvation first before the endurance in the faith to show me just one scripture that does that? I to this day have not seen one person do that yet, but instead they just try to philosophy it to fit their understanding.

Homosexuality is mentioned more than once as a very serious sin,an abomination. People are up in arms about it because of the gay agenda,which you will now see all over the news as pastors refuse to marry same sex couples.Where I came from in Canada most pastors in my denomination would not marry couples who were living together and if you were divorced you could not be a pastor or have certain leadership roles. Yes we all deal with sin but that doesnt make us anymore right.Sex is sacred,marriage is sacred and God takes homosexuality very seriously.

I do not understand where Christians get the idea that they are suppose to live and let live.The Bible doesnt teach that.I dont know if you are a believer or not but the Bible tells us to snatch sinners from the fire.In other words,warn others they are headed for hell if they do not repent and turn around. Jesus told sinners to "go your way and sin no more" He did not say "hey everybody sins so you're good."

Homosexuality tears at the very fabric of society,the family,Gods foundation blocks. When he made man and woman he had an idea in mind,and it was a sacred union. Sex has been twisted by the world and misused. Now its about doing what makes you feel good,if you have an itch scratch it.Song of Solomon makes clear how sacred God considers sex.And homosexuality is outside Gods law,so much so that it is an abomination.Id take that very seriously.

OK so do you also take this seriously also?

Deuteronomy 25

[SUP]16 [/SUP]For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Do you sin? If so then you are unrighteous. All who do unrighteousness are an ABOMINATION BEFORE THE LORD. That puts us all in the same boat. Without God's mercy NOT ONE OF US CAN CLAIM NOT TO BE AN ABOMINATION BEFORE THE LORD.

God KNEW this would would happen. You don't believe mankind can pull a fast one on God, right?

On a side note, If you read around the threads, l get the idea man believes he can ( even his job to) change the outcome of what is written.
Stall it out even?

As much as l disagree with it, does it get any worse with what they can do now? Now marriage? They can already adopt.
How much "gayer" does it all have to get for people to see that we are close to a peak with homosexuality? Like the Bible warned us/ it would come?

The consequences for it in this life are worse than many other sins. That is a reality.

Yes it amazes me how some have been taught that they are fine in their sins because it isn't as bad as theirs.

Wait a minute isn't that the same thing the Pharisee said;

Luke 18:11
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

All sin is enmity to God and unless one admits their own sins and repents of them they will perish as well (Luke 13:3). We are not to look as others sins as worse then are own as the bible does not make that difference.

[h=1] Pornography in the Church: A New Epidemic [/h]
The use of pornographic material among Christians continues to rise, reaching near epidemic proportions in the church. Shocking statistics released by Net Accountability reveal that 50 percent of evangelical pastors viewed pornography last year. A study by Internet Filter Review revealed that 53 percent of Promise Keeper men viewed pornography the week before the survey, and 17 percent of women admitted to struggling with pornography addiction. Focus on the Family recently reported that one in seven calls to their pastoral care line concern Internet pornography. Why the recent rise in pornographic use among Christians?
Many blame the Internet, which affords users anonymity, affordability, and accessibility. Individuals reluctant to purchase pornography at a local convenience store where others might see them can now indulge their fantasies in the privacy of their own home, sitting in front of the computer. Some delude themselves into thinking that it's "no big deal."
Maryanne would tell you otherwise. Her husband, a pastor and "a brilliant scholar of the Bible," battles an addiction to pornography. She and her husband have not had a physical relationship in years. When I asked her whether her husband shared his struggle with anyone, she replied, "Absolutely not! We'd probably be tarred and feathered and run out of town!" While that may sound dramatic, it may not be too far off the mark in some churches.
This raises the question, "How do committed Christian men and women become addicted to pornography?"

[h=1]How Many Porn Addicts are in Your Church?
[/h]
Could half of Christian men have a problem with porn, as so many of the statistics say? Porn is reported to be a 12 billion dollar industry in the U.S… 50 percent of men viewed pornography within one week of attending a Promise Keepers stadium event… 54 percent of
pastors said they viewed porn within the past year in a Pastors.com survey… in a 2003 Focus on the Family poll 47 percent of respondents said porn is a problem in their home.

12 billion… 50 percent… half. My eyes glaze over at numbers like this. Are we supposed to buy into the idea that half of the men in the church are porn addicts? Maybe it’s just more sensational rhetoric meant to rouse us for battle against the culture.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]But In My Church?

Certainly half the men in my church couldn’t have a problem with porn. Most the men in our body of 600 are in their late 30s to early 40s, married, and the father of little ones. They have successful careers making good money and are involved in ministry. I couldn’t picture so many of these men I sit next to every Sunday leering at porn.

Wanting to prove the numbers wrong, in the spring of 2004 I approached the leadership of our church and asked if we could survey the men on the topic of pornography. Our numbers will be different; “half” can’t be true here, I thought. Of those who responded, 25 percent had looked at porn within the past 30 days, 44 percent within six months, and 61 percent within the year. The real statistic is probably higher; I heard later that a number of men didn’t fill out the survey “because they were afraid of how it would be used.”

Because a Christian commits a sin does not make that Christian an unrighteous sinner. The Christian is to continually walk in the light where Christ's blood then continually cleanses away all sins (1 Jn 1:7) leaving the Christian "holy and without blame", "without spot" (Eph 1:4; 2 Pet 3:14). Therefore the Christian that faithfully continues to walk in the light is not an abomination before the Lord. But those that quit walking in the light, that refuses to repent of their sins but instead to choose to continue to live in their sins no longer have the blood of Christ to continually wash away all their sins and those become unrighteous before God.
