The events following the Second Coming of Christ, based on Scripture, particularly as it pertains to the final victory over sin, the establishment of God’s kingdom, and the restoration of the earth. Below are some key stages of events following Christ’s return, as outlined by AI:

1. Resurrection of the Righteous Dead
The resurrection of the righteous dead at the Second Coming is clearly taught in Scripture:
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
  • 1 Corinthians 15:52"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

2. Destruction of the Wicked
The destruction of the wicked by the brightness of Christ’s coming is a significant aspect of the Second Coming:
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:8"And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming."
  • Matthew 24:30-31"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

3. The Judgment of the Wicked
The judgment of the wicked, as part of the final separation of the righteous and unrighteous, is a theme in Scripture, particularly in the context of the Second Resurrection and final judgment:
  • Revelation 20:12-15"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."
  • Matthew 25:31-33"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats."

4. The Millennium
The 1,000-year period during which the righteous reign with Christ in heaven, while the earth is desolate, is described in Revelation:
  • Revelation 20:4-6"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."

5. Final Destruction of the Wicked (The Second Death)
After the Millennium, when the wicked are raised and attempt to take the New Jerusalem, fire from heaven destroys them:
  • Revelation 20:7-9"Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them."
  • Revelation 20:14-15"Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

6. The New Earth
After the final destruction of the wicked, God will create a new heaven and a new earth, where the righteous will dwell forever:
  • Revelation 21:1-4"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.'"
  • Isaiah 65:17"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind."

Summary of Bible Verses:
  1. Resurrection of the Righteous Dead:
    • 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
    • 1 Corinthians 15:52
  2. Destruction of the Wicked:
    • 2 Thessalonians 2:8
    • Matthew 24:30-31
  3. The Judgment of the Wicked:
    • Revelation 20:12-15
    • Matthew 25:31-33
  4. The Millennium:
    • Revelation 20:4-6
  5. Final Destruction of the Wicked (Second Death):
    • Revelation 20:7-9
    • Revelation 20:14-15
  6. The New Earth:
    • Revelation 21:1-4
    • Isaiah 65:17
These verses provide a biblical foundation for the sequence of events, from the Bible, following the Second Coming of Christ. They highlight the victory of God over sin and death and the eternal restoration of His people.
I know this is the adventist pattern but the chronology is not the one laid out in the Bible.

The destruction of the wicked occurs first in Rev 20, THEN there is a resurrection.

I'm trying to build the kingdom now, because it will know no end.
I just see the whole "pre-trib rapture/future to us ", belief to be so wrong on so many levels that it's becoming more dangerous by the day.
You fail to understand that there will be a FINAL IRREVERSABLE DIVIDING that God has planned.
And it must happen and will happen dramatically and completely.

Light from darkness.
Good from evil.
Righteousness from unrighteousness.
Sons of light from sons of darkness.

That is why God created the lake of fire prison in Genesis 3 for Satan and all of his.

Your eschatology falls along the lines of @Cameron143 , both of you being woefully wrong.

[Isa 24:19 KJV]
The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

[Isa 24:20 KJV]
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

[Isa 24:21 KJV]
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones [that are] on high (fallen angelic beings), and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

[Isa 24:22 KJV]
And they shall be gathered together, [as] prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited (GWT judgement).

Excellent. The kingdom of God came decisively with the resurrection when Jesus showed up with the keys of death and hell and all authority. It is coming progressively as you suggest as the mustard seed grows into the largest of shrubs. And it will come consummately when Christ returns and time is no more.
You are ignoring massive chunks of Scripture. EVERY VERSE AND WORD must be integrated for any doctrine to be true.

I don't understand what you mean here exactly. Is Jesus not seated on His throne now, with ALL authority in heaven and on earth and must reign until everything has been put under His feet? My King reigns right now, and His kingdom will grow until everything is under Him. Like the mustard seed, or the leven,
"The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened ".

His kingdom coming is like a seed growing into a tree, it's a process, and I understand we see evil all around us every day, but this world has been on a overall blessed" waiting for destruction first. The judgement on the people He warned of the coming judgement fell on the people who He warned. I'm trying to build the kingdom now, because it will know no end.

I honestly think many Christians today are making the same mistake the Jews of Jesus day were making without even realizing it. They are waiting for a flesh and bones Messiah to show up and physically beat the wicked world into submission. Jesus said His kingdom was not of this world, or one you could point to and say "there it is". His kingdom is of the spirit, and we enter into it when we are born again. I just see the whole "pre-trib rapture/future to us ", belief to be so wrong on so many levels that it's becoming more dangerous by the day.
Flood of Noah, end of the age, rapid and cataclysmic.
Exodus from Egypt, beginning of the nation, rapid and cataclysmic.
First Coming, rapid and stunningly dramatic.
Second Coming.......you ain't seen nothing yet.

So you say that you cannot fit Matt 24:21 into your eschatology?
Well then you had better toss it into the dumpster and start over from scratch.

[Mat 24:21 KJV]
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

All of us must drink the cup whereby we CHOOSE to enter the marriage covenant.
There are no other options, correct?

[Mat 26:27 NKJV]
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, "Drink from it, *****all of you*****.

[Mat 26:28 NKJV]
"For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

[Luk 22:20 NKJV]
Likewise He also [took] the cup after supper, saying, "This cup [is] the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

[1Co 11:25 NKJV]
In the same manner [He] also [took] the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink [it], in remembrance of Me."
That leads me to my follow up question, now that the times of the gentiles have been fulfilled in the sense that jews are in control of Jerusalem, what age are we in now?

What? Time to jump off of that crazy train that you are on.

[Luk 24:39 KJV]
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

I see Isaiah 24:22 as a mini Revelation 20. The shut up in prison part is clearly the abyss into which they are locked in during the millennium, and after many days is after the millennium as you suggested, it is the GWT judgment when they will be judged.

Yeah if you look up what the SDA church believes it is precisely in that order as he laid out. I am not sure if he is one, but he has bought that explanation for sure. I wouldn't have a problem with it unless it reversed the order of events in Rev 20. They have the resurrection occuring and then the fire comes down from heaven and devours them, yet the chapter says the rebellion occurs, fire comes down from heaven and then there is the GWT judgment.

It's still the time of the nations (gentiles) and will be until Christ returns with his kingdom

The Catholics believe the 1000yrs started at the time of Christ, and is not a literal 1000years, that Rome is the eternal city, therefore believe they have replaced Israel.

I have to admit (maybe wrongly, I need to ask more questions) I was thinking you do the same, that you believe there is not a literal future 1000yrs and do you believe the Church has replaced Israel?
Brother ! I don't have time currently, to address your post appropriately, as the literal world :) ... 7 acre homestead, chickens and a LARGE garden ( a weed and veggie jungle, with all this rain ), are needing my immediate attentions, ... maybe this evening or tomorrow.

I did follow Rob7's scriptural logic pattern on post-Lord's Coming events and agree mostly, with my limited understanding.
I agree, I need to pray for the Holy Spirit, to clarify my understanding and read my Bible for better discernment.

Be back soon, Lord Willing, and the creek don't rise :)

    • Revelation 20:14-15
  6. The New Earth:
    • Revelation 21:1-4
    • Isaiah 65:17
These verses provide a biblical foundation for the sequence of events, from the Bible, following the Second Coming of Christ. They highlight the victory of God over sin and death and the eternal restoration of His people.

Your statement is true; your practice falls short.
Did you miss out on this?

[Luk 24:27 KJV]
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

[Luk 24:32 KJV]
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Nope. Not only do they all apply to Christ, the majority have to do with His coming in the 1st century.

Some people eventually need to finally just grasp onto reality. They held onto the idea when Jesus said [(THIS GENERATION)] won't taste death they took that to believe it meant the Disciples and the people Jesus spoke to just outside of the Temple. But we know for a fact that [(ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE DIED)]!!

In fact, we know how every Disciple that became Apostles including Paul DIED. We know that every person listening to Jesus that specific day has ALL DIED.

And guess what, Jesus [(did not)] return before they DIED.

We know for a fact that He still has not returned for a Second time.

So clearly that Generation Jesus was speaking about is the Generation [(STILL TO COME)]. And if we go by the Prophet Daniel it could be the Generation alive today.

I am amazed that after 2,000 years and death has come and gone how some people hold onto traditions and beliefs that literally were destroyed by the process of elimination called life and death

times of the gentiles ended in 1967?:
I don't believe so, because:

"...In Daniel 2:42 to 44 we learn that “the times of the Gentiles” will be fulfilled
when the King comes from heaven. In Acts 13:23 we learn that Jesus Christ
was born in the house of David, to be Israel’s Saviour.
Now let us read Luke 1:68 and 74: “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for He hath
visited and redeemed His people.” “That He would grant unto us that we, being
delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear...”"

Excerpt from:

Times Of The Gentiles

Amen.

Jesus didn"t say that at the temple or Jerusalem. It was said to the disciples a few days before his transfiguration on the mount in northern Israel during which 3 disciples saw the kingdom of heaven come to earth in power.
