Thanks for the warning Kaylagrl. I've read the song of Solomon and it gave me the idea that Solomon was a sensual guy. You know he asked for wisdom in his prayer to God..I believe that included sexual wisdom as well. Of course eventually his many wives helped to turn Solomon's heart away from God through idolatrous practices. What I'm asking is has anybody ever found a scripture forbidding certain things ?I'm asking before I respond with what I've found in scripture.Thanks.
I also believe he was a sensual guy. However, having 700 wives is like being married to a whole town- that did not come from God or wisdom. Even though God blessed him with wisdom, he still visited the stupidity of sin just like everyone else.

With a thousand women, if Solomon visited one every night he would not see the same one for nearly three years.

I would say that anything hurtful or degrading to one's spouse is NOT okay but I see nothing wrong in wearing something sexy to attract your husband (at home) or perfume or silly games (you- Tarzan me-Jane)

Anything more specific, God deals with us individually.

well u have lust vs admiration ---- two totally different things --- to admire a woman's beauty is one things but when a guy needs help putting his tongue back in his mouth then yeah he has sinned
If you aren't admiring the private areas of her body, I suppose you are doing okay, though I might suggest you be careful around those eyes:

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16 RSV

Well brethren...after searching scripture I've come to believe that other than bestiality, inviting another person into it,sleeping with family members, same sex sex ,anything else goes in the bedroom between marrieds..As long as the other spouse consents to it. And then about lust..well women lust after men too. And some women and men are masters at inspiring lust. I think that if sex becomes boring or all about procreation..then it might cause somebody to cheat. So I believe we have to spice that married bed up from time to time.but that's just my opinion and I'll respect yours.I also think that some people aren't compatible sexually..one may have a higher sex drive or the other might be sexually inhibited for whatever reason..

Hi Pureinheart..thanks for that..but I meant that with the wisdom to run his kingdom..he may have also received some idea about how to please his wives in bed. I just think that Solomon was this sensual guy and sensuality can really add something special into the marriage bed..think candles, soft music, scented oils and a gentle massage..soft silky garments..feeding each other fruit..

I feel you on that Psalm6819..thanks. yeah John832 Solomon probably would have had to neglect some of his wives that long or longer..which makes me wonder what they did to pass the time..in his harem until he could work his way back to the neglected ones..hmmm??? Just seems like too much work to me.
