Pleaee help I’m trying to figure out if I can be saved according to Hebrews 6
I was born again at 19 but fell away into unbelief for 30 years into new age lies.
Sure you can. The only ones who can't are those who don't want to. God loves you. God desires that every prodigal son and daughter come back. If your heart was hardened, then you would have no interest in coming back home.

The same Greek word translated as "impossible" in Hebrews 6:4 (adunatos) is used in Acts 14:8-10 to describe the helpless condition of the crippled man's feet just before he "sprang up and began to walk."

You're good. No worries.

And...when something shows up in the Bible in only one place that is not supported anywhere else and that seems inconsistent with the rest of the Bible (God's overwhelming grace and mercy so big that he would send his son to die vs. someone being locked out of salvation) - I am comfortable that I've missed something and probably have gotten something wrong.

I think there are other verses which say you shouldn’t fall away or turn away or reject Jesus but I don’t know if you only get once chance to be born again, if you fall away into unbelief can you come back

A good rule of thumb, if you are worrying about being lost the Holy Spirit is working for your salvation and you are responding.

Were you making sacrifices at the temple believing that was going to save you, after believing on Jesus?

That verse is directed at Jews who did that very thing... and they are being told, those sacrifices do not save and
Jesus is not going to die again for them. His was a once-for-all sacrifice, fulfilling the law and ushering in a new
covenant with mankind whereby we are saved by grace through faith. Have you any faith? Exercise it, and it will
get stronger, and you will be a more effective witness for the gospel unto others due to what you've been through.

I definitely didn’t do those things! But isn’t all scripture for us today as well ?

And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

Pleaee help I’m trying to figure out if I can be saved according to Hebrews 6
I was born again at 19 but fell away into unbelief for 30 years into new age lies.
"4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 [c]if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame." - Hebrews 6:4-6

The "falling away mentioned is not just backsliding or temporarily going back into the world for a while and then being retrieved. For individuals who have this experience, the flesh is destroyed so that "the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (1 Cor. 5:5). Hence, they are retrieved and do not fall away" in the sense of the context here in chapter 6.

Proverbs 24:16, which reads, "A just righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again," refers to a different kind of falling, whereas verses 4-6 refers to a permanent falling away from the Lord of "falling." 6 unto extinction, or Second Death. For example, although it is dangerous for brethren to stop attending meetings, that action in itself does not indicate a Second Death condition in which it is impossible to return to the Lord, that is, a falling away from the brethren is not necessarily synonymous with a falling away from the Lord, for He may take certain other circumstances into consideration and be merciful in His judgment. Paul was speaking of a class whom it is impossihle to renew unto repentance because they have committed the sin unto Second Death.

How do I know if I committed that sin

Hebrews was written mainly to the Jews, and they were used to a sacrificial system and had
other practices such as circumcision which were never meant to be binding on others. After
Jesus fulfilled the law, which was under the old covenant, and shed His righteous blood, He
instituted a new covenant. Jews who tried to have one foot in each covenant as it were, were
doing themselves a disfavor, and they were being called out on it, for:

Robo has to activate it. Is he on? If not, you will have to wait until he is.
