Some members have suggest I’m going to a hell of fire. The devil, and his demons are going to jab me with pitch forks. My flesh is going to bubble, and burst in the flames. You will hear be screaming to high heaven. I will do anything for a drink of water. My oh my, I will be burning forever. I'm a Christian, I don't believe those things. If you don't believe these two scriptures, well, you get my meaning.

I don’t know what comic books some of you guys have been reading in your church, but here is
what the Bible says about the condition of the dead. The dead are those in the grave.

Ecclesiastes 9: 5
For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they
are conscious of nothing at all. Neither do that have wages, because the remembrance
of them is forgotten.

Psalms 146: 4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground. In that day his thoughts do perish.

WOW…no fire. No guy in a red suit with a pitch fork. No bubbling, or bursting of the flesh. No dreaming…just sleep. I guess that’s why Jesus said from the moment of death to the resurrection is like walking through a doorway.

Why is it every time I open the Bible, somebody starts throwing stones

According to Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Solomon here describes what he sees, not what he believes; there is no reference here to the fact or the mode of the existence of the soul in another world, which are matters of faith.

Revelation 20:10 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Two here, the beast and false prophet

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
Here it says no rest day or night and includes those who receive this mark

The lake of fire means an end, that something, or somebody is no more. It means the second, or final end.
Hades is the word for hell. Hell will also be destroyed. It will be no more,

Revelation 20: 14 And death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.

Physical death is not the end of all existence; one will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell.

What do you make of these?

Rev 20:10, 13-15
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Hades is currently the temporary abode of the unsaved dead. After the final judgment it will be cast into the lake of fire (the final and permanent destination of the unsaved).

I believe in Gods written word. I do not change it to fit my wants. If you believe your thinking how the Bible could be better than God made it...your up against a rock, and a rock. Your fight is with God, not with me.

You quoted two verses from the OT where revelation was still partial yet you seem to ignore tons of Scriptures on hell and the torment involved as described by Jesus...One who has been there and back.

Then why do you say Adam and Eve had sex with an animal? Please quote the book chapter and verse that says this.
Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
Adam was Cain's father not some animal!

The lake of fire is the final judgment. It is at the end of the 1,000 rule under Jesus. There is no adobe for the unjudged dead.
What kind of Christian religion are you in?

It is easy to tell a group of Christians from a pack of wild dogs...the dogs should go outside, and look up into the heavens...you will see there are more of us, than there are of you.

I believe hell exists. I believed that when I was a christian as well. I am guessing you will ignore anything I say because I am not a christian now so I provided you a christian point of view.

[h=3]Mark 9:43-48[/h]English Standard Version (ESV)

[SUP]43 [/SUP]And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell,[SUP][a][/SUP] to the unquenchable fire.[SUP][b][/SUP] [SUP]45 [/SUP]And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. [SUP]47 [/SUP]And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, [SUP]48 [/SUP]‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched
[h=3]Luke 16:23[/h]English Standard Version (ESV)

[SUP]23 [/SUP]and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.

I do not ignore people who give me their time. Thank you for it. Not all Christians beleive in a hell of fire. It is against the Bible. I do believe in Hell. Hell is the common grave of man. Why did you turn your back on God?
