What is it with people that call themselves Christian, who condemn anything that does not suit their way of thinking. It only shows, to me, that they have no faith in what they believe themselves and can only support their thoughts by dragging other folk's thought down to that level.

Honestly, if this is really a Christian forum, how about a little Christian love and acceptance.
Yes love and acceptance, because what was the warning
14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, [b]which thing I hate. 16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
There are some 53 verses about teachers of false doctrine.
I don't think Christ is very keen on accepting the spread there of.

Isn't it ironic when someone does not want to repent they call on the old Christian love and acceptance?

Idk if you r comparing Jonah to outright sinners who shun God?
No I am comparing the living suffering of the Son of man, Jesus to the living suffering of Jonas. The living suffering is called hell.

As the Son of man in Mathew 26 began the three day demonstration called the "heart of earth" or the "belly of the whale"( same thing) Like Jonas crying out in a living suffering unto death. (God cannot die) the Son of man Jesus the same way

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Mathew 26:38-39

Continuing the demonstration God having heard him and strengthened Him to continue the living suffering called hell. The Son of man in that parable is shown sweating to indicate he was working pouring out His promised unseen Spirit sweating as if it was blood.

Having finished that part of the demonstration the Holy Spirit woke up the disciples who could not help Him seeing the work must be performed in respect to the father and Son alone .Just as God strengthened Jonas to finish the living work of suffering called hell vomiting him unto dry land. Then the Son of man ,Jesus moving to another part of the three day demonstration the cross.

And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Luke 22

Here are a few Scriptures from God's Word: Mk 9:44 'their worm (maggots?) dieth not and the fire is not quenched' this also in Isa 66:24. Mt 24:51 '..there will b gnashing of teeth..', Ps 55:23 'But You oh God shall bring them down to the pit of destruction' and more Scriptures. You should watch the video, it is Scriptual what this brother experienced, and remember he's a dear Conservative friend who after this vision 'young men shall see visions' left his successful realty business and w/his wife goes around testifying of this and NOT for profit. God bless.
God is no longer brining any new revelation to confirm what people experience.

Experience is not the validator of spiritual unseen truth. As it is written is. His testimony only proves he experiences those who believe him and he does not charge them for the experience

When a person dies their flesh returns to the dust and their tmporal corrupted spirit returns to the father. Dead people cannot gnash their teeth in anger towards God . and its down to the pit of destruction or annihilation , not a pit of suffering. Again Christ offered a living suffering sacrifice not a dead one

Lk 16:19-31 about the rich man in hell asking the poor man to warn his brothers. You said the living suffering is hell. We can survive living while suffering, those in hell are those sinners who rejected God's offer and 'slip down into the terrors of hell. I know of two sound Christians that the Lord revealed hell to just so they could testify that hell is real. Those two Christians are Dr Eby and Bill Weise both online free vids.

why do JW's call all who are not of their beliefs goats? and in fact all JW's are not sure they are not goats

why do the JW's have their own translation of the Bible, translated by JW's who took upon themselves the job of translating, having no knowledge of the actual methodology, and out came the New World Translation in which Jesus is now a created being rather than who the apostle John says He is? (reference John 1)

why do JW's condemn everyone but themselves and then seem amazed anyone should question that and come here and look for 'love' while the entire time, the whole effort is geared to proving (which cannot be done) they are the only ones who actually have the correct Bible?

you don't believe in Jesus as He is revealed in the actual scholarly translations of scripture and now you are all in a snit because people call you on your attitude and your desire to try and prove Christianity inferior

Christians will never accept JW beliefs. any doctrine that denies the divinity of Christ is not Christian and the Bible itself says that if Christ is denied, there is no salvation

hmmm

my favorite is "and you call yourself a Christian?" like it is the biggest insult in the world. see, even there they give away the fact that deep down we all know God is real and His Son is real

As far as I know they don't.

I don't think you know much about the subject.

why do JW's condemn everyone but themselves and then seem amazed anyone should question that and come here and look for 'love' while the entire time, the whole effort is geared to proving (which cannot be done) they are the only ones who actually have the correct Bible?

from what I have seen, they don't condemn anyone, they just get on with what they know and need to do.

you don't believe in Jesus as He is revealed in the actual scholarly translations of scripture and now you are all in a snit because people call you on your attitude and your desire to try and prove Christianity inferior

Are you saying I don't believe in Jesus if you are you are wrong again. You seem to be fumbling along with no reason.

Christians will never accept JW beliefs. any doctrine that denies the divinity of Christ is not Christian and the Bible itself says that if Christ is denied, there is no salvation
I do not know what you are saying here, it is an accusation with no merit.

Let us determine the definition of a Christian:

1. Hands up all those that celebrate Xmas in December.
2. Hands up who accept that homosexuality is all right for a Christian.
3. Do you consider Easter to be a Christian festival?
4. what is the significance of the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs.
5. Where did the word Easter come from.
6. What scripture or scriptures uses the word crucify,
7. What is the system of crucifiction, who used i mostly, and what was the Jews method of killing a criminal?
8. The cross, as we know it today is represented in Egyption Hyroglyphics as symbol of the pagan deiety of those times...True or false?
9. Getting back to Jesus' birth: How many wise men visited Jesus?
10.The star that showed these wise men, or maggi, part of the way to where Jesus was produced by whom?
11. how old was Jesus, and where was he when the Maggi, wise men, finally came to give Jesus gifts?

This is just for starters.

How somebody answers these questions would be a poor determination of faith. It shows their knowledge, not their homage. Agreed many follow blindly, unaware of the origins of symbols and traditions. However, what is placed on top of our Christmas/Yule tree will hopefully be less considered on Judgement Day compared to the obedience we showed in Christ’s name.

As far as Hell is concerned, you make a lot of literal assumptions when reading Scripture. How would you explain electromagnetism or chemistry to a kindergartener? Answer: You wouldn’t. They don’t have the basics understood to teach it. You would have to dumb it down. The details of Creation, physicality, the meaning of life and the immortal soul are still debated today in the highest realms of academia. Christ didn’t have time to educate everyone on metaphysics, biology, and quantum mechanics. He just wanted them to follow The Almighty and treat fellow man with respect and love. You don’t need a Masters degree, just a contrite heart. Follow Yeshua: good, follow your own carnal pleasures: bad. Your decisions aren’t just for the temporal, but will effect your eternal. No need to debate what nobody can prove or disprove.

Ok yes, let's qualify what is a Christian?
Understands he is a sinner with no ability to save himself. Hopelessly lost and separated from His Majesty God.
Learns who Jesus is ( God manifested in the flesh as the only living son, best sumed up in John :1 ), and what he did; suffered the indignation of this life with out committing any sin, called disciples that would teach this and establish his church, and then accepted the punishment for sin, layed own his life, took it back up again and asended to the Father.
Places his faith in the afore mentioned Jesus, by submitting to his Lordship.
Received the righteousness of Christ via imputation. Then as an act of submission is ceremonially baptised in water. Received the Gift of the Holy Spirit who comes to reside, and guide, and train the now Christian.

Love people..

Hate and reject false doctrine..

Hating a false doctrine is not the same as hating the one who holds that false doctrine..

We can love the one who holds the false doctrine but totally reject the doctrine that they hold..

It’s easy to see why the writer has a false concept of Hell, his notion of Jesus has a basis in Gnosticism. Creation and humanity have one purpose and with a flawed view of the Christ, Jesus, humanity substitutes their own view of how things ought to be, assuming the role of God Himself.

Ok I'll bite.
1. So what...
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Colossians 2:16‭-‬17 KJV
2. Nope. It's sin.
3. Nope
4. Pagan symbols of fertility
5. amalgamation of a bunch of European spring celebrations,
6. There are 52 scripture verses that use the word crusify or crusified.
7. Romans nailed people to a wooden cross of some kind, the Jewish way was to stone some one to death generally speaking.
8. So what, the Egyptian symbol is an aunc which is similar to a cross but has a loop at the top.
Wooden cross crusifiction was used many many cultures, even native Americans. The reason it is a symbol in Christianity is the crusifiction of Christ which is atonement for our sins.
9. No one knows how many wise men.
10.God created all things
11. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, on the 8th day they had him circumcised in Jerusalem, then they returned home to Nazareth. It was like after this. There is no way of knowing exactly how old he was at the time of the Magi arrival. All the Bible says is that he was a young child.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11 KJV

However the answers to these questions is not a litmus test to whether a person is Christian or not.

That is a parable. Dead men have no thirst or a tongue. Neither can they cry out in prayer and supplication as did Jonas and the Son of man Jesus and being strengthened by the father finish the living work of suffering. . When they die their corrupted spirit returns to that father who gave it temporally and their corrupted flesh returns to the dust from where it was formed.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

No spirit no ability to work . No living faith no ability to work .

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.James 2:26

Natural Man will not see life. and therefore will not rise to receive the goal or end of our new faith our new incorruptible bodies to be joined with out new incorruptible born again spirits.

Hell is a living suffering that all of this corrupted creation experience in their bodies of death. In Christ we can receive rest from that work of hardening our hearts when we do mix faith (the unseen in what we do see and hear. .He is our daily Sabbath rest. He makes our hearts soft.

those are facts

I once worked with a JW and I got it straight from the source and all her magazines and books

as per your usual tactic, attack Christians and then when someone points out the fallacy of your behavior, you make things up

So! I see that there is truly the Christian Spirit here. One does not know what they say but they spit it out anyway. I would have more to hate the Catholics for than I would a JW, but I am not a practised bigot.
Oh contraire! It appears you are well practiced!

his death as a ransom sacrifice for the sin of Adam. A perfect man sinning and the ransom of a perfect man to redeem the sin of Adam.
The above is pure Watch Tower Society teaching. Since you are of this organization and a JW, please stop being ashamed and just admit it.

The definition of the word Christian .The new name God named His people as a result of the first century reformation. Without any other meaning added it denotes residents of the Holy City of Christ the new heavenly Jerusalem prepared as Christ bride, the church. Named after its founder Christ.

It is called a demonym it is used through scripture to help identify people with places .

Don't you think that this is hoping for more than God requires? He wants us to work toward perfection. Jesus showed us what his Heavenly Father requires when he was on earth, Jesus was the epitome of a Christian. Be Christlike, in other words. If you are going to allow a continual 'Yule Tree' until you are to be judged, what else of the pagan rituals are acceptable?

I accept what you say here, and agree that there are many things that we will have wait until our minds become perfect before the sciences you mention will be second thought to us, however I don't see what it has to do with the use of Hell, the blaming Yeshua or Jehovah for its creation, and for the use of this imaginary place to cast fear into those seeking some sort of Christian Faith.

I also agree with you on the use of the 11th Commandment. If that pervaded the world, this world would be such a different place, Hey?!

Do you wish to discuss "Your eternal?"

Ain't I so much more agreeable in the mornings?!!!! LOL

So, is that a threat to being a Christian???? There is some scripture that says, I think, man comes and goes but the earth stands forever, do you really think that the Grand Creator is going to let his marvellous design go to waste. Mankind was always going to destroy his habitation once he followed Satan and lost the nightly visits from God who explained the magnification of creation.

About Hell, I am saying the finite mind, ignorant to matter, and energy wouldn’t be able to comprehend what the reality of an afterlife void of God would be. To give a location and perceivable punishments, the simple mind can grasp there are consequences for not following our Creator in this life.
