8 “How are you spending your dash?”
From the phrase “God loves you,” we are reminded that in order for us to benefit from God’s love for us, we have to respond to Him. Jesus was the Perfect man who was without sin, because of His remarkable virgin birth; so He is our example to pattern after. The great verses say in John 3:16 “For God so ‘loved the world’ that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” --- So I end these eight entries with this simple desire, that in ‘spending your – dash,’ you will consider that ‘time’ should be given to this truth, that ‘God loves us.’ --- And without us responding to Him we remain outside of His fold. There are different word pictures of sheep in the Scriptures, and Isaiah said in 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him, Jesus Christ, the iniquity of us all.” Blessings

I thought I would include the first post again to get the 8 posts close together, as the other 6 are near the bottom of page 1.
I have nieces, nephews and grandchildren that I had in mind when the Lord led me to write this, to post in another place, and I thought also with our present pandemic and the world being 'brought to its knees' there might be many who will pray for the Lord's guidance, while they are down there. Since this life is fragile, we know that the Lord has the answer of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
--- When all posts are read together, they follow a theme. --- I thought there may have been some comments or discussion.

When we go to a cemetery we notice that a tombstone will say 1940 – 2010, and we realize that the dash – refers to the life between the two dates. The reality of life is that ‘we didn’t ask to be born.’ --- Usually our parents wanted us, or accepted us when we came along, but we didn’t have a choice in the matter. --- Job said, “Life is short and full of trouble.” So here we are. We have made mistakes and tried to correct them, but the things that come upon us from the outside can destroy us and our best intentions. --- This new virus might say, “I’m coming for you.” --- But we say, “Oh no, I’m not ready to go, I have my whole life ahead of me.” And James 4 says, “What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” --- But before it vanishes away, we must find the right answer. The Bible says that ‘God loves us,’ so He must have the answers. Blessings
