HOW DO YOU KNOW GOD IS REAL???

Hi, I'm new to this Chat-site, and I'm looking to make new friends here. If you have read my title "How do you know God is Real"? Well you see, I like to hear your story of how you encountered God from the beginning. Lets face it, we all encountered Him in different forms and shapes, and I would Love to hear your story. When was it exactly when you came face to face with Him? How do you know He even Exists??? I'm not a non-believer, trust I believe in the Heavenly Father, I have encountered Him in a way, where you would fall on your face and bow, because of His awesomeness, is what I called it. Let me hear your story, and Ill tell you mine.

For me, I knew God was real from a long time ago. Tell me, who has the can mimic creating a planet and has it sustained, people and animal therein. Who started the world? Can a big bang theory be mimicked to create a new world? Who can arbitrarily change seasons/weather? People are always trying to investigate how to produce (lab experiments), but how many of those were successful? God came to earth as Jesus, but people had no faith and refused him regardless of the miracles he performed. Can we perform the same miracles in the amount of time God (Jesus) did? All my questions are thought-provoking. If you cannot find anyone to accomplish these things, you have your answer.

Then there are some of us who were "born" into a relationship with Jesus. As a little girl, everyone said He was real, and I believed it. I first found Him in the bible which I began at a very early age to underline various sentences. Faith really did come first. Then there were those "moments" as I began to grow into an adult that He took me by surprise - began revealing to me His healing, His protection, His overpowering love, His mercies, etc.

So many stories - so many years.

I can’t recall a time in my life I did not Believe in GOD... could we all be born with the inner knowing and the flesh and world draws us to partake and try to lead us away.. just thinking out loud..

When they taught me the Big Bang.. I only took it as the Blue print of GOD’s Creation and actually think much is based on the Bible information Without giving credit to the Creator.. and evolution.. well I laugh that there is still a species we are supposedly descended from that did not evolve living in the jungle.. did they not get the memo? Enough said hehe..

Tis a pretty long story, but basically, kenee high to a grasshopper, I did! As I grew older in "the church", I guess, I was "shown"(spoken in hindsight, now, but at the time?...no) things, that rather told me, God wasn't real, at least, to "these" people. "In search of", in the world? I was "shown" that evil, rulers of darkness, principalities, wickedness, yada, yada is very real. Basically, I reckon, I thank God, in His allowing satan in proving to me, that he exists, thus, confirming to me, that God IS! And His only begotton, Jehovah's Savior, is the only WAY to God!\
Instead of "messaging" your reply, just throw it onto this thread, if you would be so obliging.

I see the beauty in creation, and I came to the conclusion that even if we were to figure out the mechanics of how it all happened, it would still never explain the divine work of art.

That plus any attempts to textually criticize the Gospel accounts end up being straw man arguments, and given that I believe miracles (even resurrections) still happen today, I see absolutely no reason at all NOT to believe in Jesus.

And that's all before even delving into the relationship aspect!

For me as I have studied many thing about the Bible, the Bible, it's history and other things that gives me confidence that the Lord exists. His covenant with Abraham about the land is one that shows me that He exists in Genesis 12:7, 15:7-21, and 17:6-8, the original Covenant. The Lord saying He would judge Egypt in Genesis 15:14 is fulfilled in Exodus 7:14-11:10.

The Lord responding to the Covenant promise of the land, Deuteronomy 4:37-39 “And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power,38 driving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day,39 know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.”

Then when you consider that the Jewish people were scattered to the four corners of the world after 70 A.D. In the history of man no people have ever kept their identity for more then 300 years. Yet the Jewish people, kept theirs for over 1800 almost 1900 years, with governments trying to exterminate them more than once in those years. Hitler and Stalin were not the only ones that killed many Jews in their history, yet they are still a people and now thy have the land promised to them, by the Sovereign sovereign

Then on the 14th of May 1948, the Lord God in His sovereign will restored Israel back to the descendants of Abraham, as He promised in Genesis 17:7-8

“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Isaiah 44:6-8 speaks of God's foreknowledge and soveriegnty.

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.7 And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, let them show these to them.8 Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’”

This is why I know God exsits, because He said He would give the land to Abraham's desentants and in His soveriegnty has brought them back to the land He made a covenant with Abraham about.

God is real and has all the ability to all that was done as stated in the bible today in our lives. The bible state that for everlasting to everlasting he is the same. But in today difficult days one may ask is he really real? i have called and called and not getting any answer. The best way to prove his existience and his ability to influence situations around us is by personal experience and encouter with him just like Jacob in Gen 28:10-22.

I will list some personal experience to encourage you that God is indeed real and very involve in our daily lives:

1. I'm based in Nigeria and was travelling to the nations capital in Abuja a while ao when i received a call from a family friend -an Archbishop based in New Jersey. He said ''man of God we praying and we saw that you were travelling and the plane crashed'' truly I was at the airport in Nigeria about to board a plane and while on board the plane experienced so much turbulence that it truly would have crashed as everyone in the aircraft was in a state of panic,but I remember his words ''through air,land or sea'' hewillbe with us; I spoke the word back to God in prayers and instantly there was calmness. I was convinced that the immortal God listens to sinful mortal man.

2. Another personal experience I had that convinced me oh his existence was when I slept off with my family while driving about 80km/h and granite (stones) was poured on my car to wake me up twice . The sleep disappeared and I step out of my car to understand how the heaven can rain granite just to save the lives of poor sinners . God watch over us as Hagar stated in Gen 16:13

3. Another example was when my late wife jammed the gate to the house with only my boy who was then few months old upstairs and with no cloths on. she was outside the house with her accounts officer and she said knowing there was no one to help but God that '' O lord send this boy guardian angel to open this gate'' and brother instantly the lock of the gate that was jammed was lifted and the door was physically opened (moved). He is real

4. I have slept on the same bed with someone who was sick and later passed on while trying to revive the person. I prayed a simple prayer asking God to restore life and instantly he did and she came back to life.

God is real , at times we may have doubt because we expect instant manifestation or answer to our prayers and we get discourage or even doubt his existence. His ways are not ours and he was late to the tomb of lazarus but yet he brought lazarus back to life. feel free to contact me for prayers and counselling.

I won't go into any experiences but it's a knowing (faith) that's in my spirit that I cannot shake even when the strongest of doubts attack my mind. You can say He revealed Himself to me.

I praise God knowing how many times I left him high and dry but has not only welcomed me back he's on many occasions granted me peace from my mental anguish thats how I know hes real

Furthermore, I am a living testimony that God had his hand in all parts of my life. In 2014, I died..not 1 time, 2 or 3 times, but 4 times. I didn't see what was going. All I remember is that I was getting learning credits at the University. I remember I couldn't walk up the stairs and for me to even walk back to my car, I was breathing really hard and my heart felt like it was going to pop out of my body. God drove that car, as I don't remember how I did it, to the emergency room. I remember the doctor asking "So you drove yourself here?" I was so out of it I don't know if I answered him. Then I was rushed to ICU. I had so much needles in me...They ran their usual tests to see what happened. Thank you God, I vetted my doctors. They were all Christians. Because when science fails, I need some god-filled people praying that God gives them what to do if it worsens. I feel asleep. To me, I just knew I was sleeping. My doctor, the best doctor God ever made asked me the next morning if I remember what happened. Confused about the question, I told him that I was sleeping and just woke up. The nurses came in as he was explaining that my heart had stopped for a long time during my sleep. He said I had actually flat-lined 4 times. He said, You know me sis. I wasn't going to stop there. He and his nurses stopped and prayed and continued to do their duty. I was put on some medication and he told me I don't see you on it for too long. I was taking about 11 pills and even got a defibrillator when I had moved to a different state. I prayed and said God, I know this is not real. I have faith and I believe..by your stripes, I am healed. That was 4 months ago. Now, I have let go of all pills just by reading the Bible and eating exactly how it tells us to eat. ...got married and have three more additions to my family. I say I am blessed. Always a crisis or a valley before you get put on the mountain top. Just have faith and if you are not sure..stay close to your Bible and people who are Christ-minded. Sorry to be so verbose..but I have to spread what all he has done for me..And this is how I know, again, HE IS REAL.

I was an atheist for a long time. The issue of people believing in God bothered me greatly. Why did I spend so much time, attention and energy refuting something that I don't believe even exists?! What caused me to do that? When I was an atheist, I attributed my intentions as caring for those poor, delusional people to help them realize their hope was completely ill founded. Also, as I challenged those who believed in God, I was deeply curious to see if they could convince me otherwise. Part of my quest was to become free from the question of God. If I could conclusively prove to believers that they were wrong, then the issue is off the table, and I would be free to go about my life.

I didn't realize that the reason the topic of God weighed so heavily on my mind, was because God was pressing the issue. I have come to find out that God wants to be known. He created us with the intention that we would know him. He has surrounded us with evidence of himself and he keeps the question of his existence squarely before us. It was as if I couldn't escape thinking about the possibility of God. God actively pursued me.

Day unto day and night unto night utters speech....One cannot honestly without bias evaluate creation, man, nature and say there is no God....like God said...only a fool would say in his heart there is no God....to me the biggest proof that can be seen with physical eyes is another human being.....We are wonderfully and fearfully made in God's image....the human body and it's billions of cells, dna (code) etc.....no way this is by chance or accident....we were designed and made......just like a machinist reads a blueprint and machines a part for a F-18 or the Space Shuttle.....God made us, created us, cut, formed and fashioned us..........

First and foremost, I would like to thank you all for sharing your stories with me, that means a lot. Now let me return the favor, by telling you my story. A little bit of background information about myself, I am a preachers kid, so automatically, people would assume that I would believe in the name of Jesus. That would be incorrect. With the amount of stories told to me when I was a kid about Jesus, the amount of Sunday School I went too, the amount of church youth programs I attended, with everything in my life surrounded by a Christian upbringing, I DID NOT KNOW WHO THIS JESUS WAS??? My thoughts and opinions at that time was, how can one tell you stories of a man that claimed He died for our sins, and tell you that you have to believe in Him, or you will perish. Why should I believe in someone that I don't even know or didn't even meet??? These were questions that went through my mind at the time. Why,why,why??? Something happened to me at the age of 13, something that changed my life. To make this portion of the story from long to short, Jesus revealed Himself to me, in a form of love, and forgiveness to my family, because something, got a hold of my stubborn heart, that I did not wish to forgive my family for, but eventually, I did. When I forgave, Jesus's, aura or whatever you want to call it, surrounded me, as if He was there to comfort me at that time. Right then and there, I knew that there is a being out there, that was there at that time, to comfort me, and something of that great power, exist in this world, but "feeling" His presence wasn't enough, I had to see who this being was, who was this that was there to comfort me. So I began a long journey, to search for this being Jesus, it took me 3 years to find this being, and let me tell you something. He tends to show up when you are at your lowest point of your life. My dad was in the hospital, a man that I highly admired,and loved, and he was about to be taken from me. He had a heart attack. I prayed to whoever was listening out there, to please save my father. I have never prayed so hard in my life, I prayed so hard, and mind you, this was at my church, where my dad stands at the altar and prays, and preaches every single Sunday. Jesus revealed Himself to me. And let me tell you something brothers and sisters, it is EXACTLY how they describe it in the bible when you meet Him. "That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth." Phillipians 2:10) "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7)"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your Heart." Jeremiah 29:13) The magic word here is "Seek" lets just say, He said everything will be alright. My dad healed up within a month, and my encounter with Him, I will never forget. Well, how can you forget something like falling on your knees and bowing aye, hahaha. That's my story, believe it or not, He is ReaL alright. Seek Him out, that's what He wants you to do, to know the truth, to be saved, and loved for all times. THank you for sharing, He comes to us in many shapes and forms, we just have to pay attention
